When you go through disappointment, Maybe you prayed for a loved one but things didn’t get well. You prayed and waited for that job promotion but you didn’t get it. You were faithful in a relationship but it did not work out.
One of the best things you can do is to release it and let go. Thinking about not able to get what you want will lead you to bitterness, blaming yourself and God.
Of course it is not fair to go through disappointment, but you still have to try and release it, then you have faith, trusting God to take control of your situations.
The bible say’s, in 1 Peter 1:6-7New King James Version (NKJV)
6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness
1. Using the book, notes, and biblical text itself, choose two of the Gospels and compare and contrast their presentation of the life of Christ. Be sure to include how things like the authors’ background and audience affect their message.
Therefore, I assumed that almost everyone has suffered from disappointment at any level. At first glance, I imagined of having a person entering a room and realizing that a butter cookie box was waiting for him on top of a table. Soon after he would walking towards it and his disappointment
Do you ever wonder if what you about to do is right in the sight of God? Do you have questions that you seek answers to from God’s word? We all get in situations when there appears to be no clear answer to satisfy that what we are about to participate in is right. The truth is that oftentimes our life is built around things that aren’t wrong; they just don’t have any spiritual value. We should ask ourselves, “How does this help me grow spiritually?” Is what I am doing or want to do going to benefit me in my Christian life? Will I glorify Jesus by doing it?
When something happens in your life when least expected, it is not always a good thing. Three years ago I didn’t think my life could be turned upside down, but it did. I and my husband started fighting a lot, and couple months later, we lost our house, and life started going downhill from there. As soon as I thought everything was getting better, it just got three times worse. This year, I told myself I was going to make it better for my family, but then I lost my kids to CPS.
Gratitude is a strong emotion. Feeling gratitude for the failure and the experience will help you proceed with resolve and enthusiasm. Occasionally writing or journaling your ideas in a positive manner can help you accept failure as a positive experience instead of a negative one.
The first sixteen chapters of 2 Chronicles open with the feats of King Solomon, the figure who dominates the first nine chapters of the reading. The narrative starts off with Solomon already firmly established, not accounting the struggle it took him to get to this position of favor. This favor is consummated in chapter 1 when the Lord accepts Solomon’s offerings and grants his request for wisdom. This wisdom results in even more favor as chapter one ends by summarizing the material wealth the kingdom accumulates. The second chapter immediately dives into Solomon’s preparations to build the Temple by accounting how many people were involved in the work and how a treaty was formed with the king of Tyre for assistance. Chapter Three describes
Many Bible scholars believe this Epistle to the Hebrews was written by Paul, however most of the Bible scholars agree that no one knows exactly who wrote Hebrews. Paul usually gives his customary greeting in all his writings Hebrews , however is missing Paul's signature , which may be another reason several authorities believe that it could have been written by several people . Some feel it could have been written by several people like Paul and Luke , Barnabas or perhaps even Apollos , we do know it was written before 70 A.D. As we read in 2nd Timothy we are confident in this one thing that God wrote the Bible through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit even though it was written by man. The name of the book (Hebrews) informs us that it
Believe in a God, and that he will help in the way one needs, or Cry, scream and hate him because he didn’t do what one thought was the right way. To overcome deep hurt, one has to forgive to move on with life.
There are three questions that every human being, at one time or another, will think about. Some people will give them nothing more than a passing thought during their lifetime while others will think on them constantly. I think most people are somewhere in between, usually thinking of them at around the times of life’s major events. The three questions are: 1) Where did I come from? 2) Why am I here? 3) Where am I going when I die (some people will phrase this question, “Is this all there is?”)?
As written in the passage we were told to read we are told that we are the livings stones chosen by God. Since we were young we were being built into a spiritual house by God. As a spiritual house we will be able to offer up spiritual sacrifices to God through Jesus Christ. It also shows how we were chosen by God in passage 9. We are a chosen race, a holy nation, god's own possession. All of us are here today because we have a special duty to accomplish so we can make God happy. As shown in the passage we all start as a cornerstone after the day of our baptism. Then we reform with the help of God and turn into a spiritual house. As a house we are able to worship God more and offer up spiritual sacrifices to him. We are precious to God and he
For many, failing and disappointment can be a great loss hard to overcome, but for others, they will use that loss as motivation to overcome the disappointment. I am a strong believer that you can use disappointment as motivation in your life.
I believe everyone has disappointments, it’s just how they learn from them and the outcome that is made. Not staying motivated after high school would have to be my greatest disappointment. I have learned from that and have finally got motivated to start moving
Our timing as humans is different from God’s timing. God promised Abraham that he would have a son even though his wife was barren. It took a quarter of a century before this promise was fulfilled. Patience is one of the virtues that God gives us, so when we call on him, we patiently have to wait on an answer, even though it may not be the answer we want. This has taught me to be patient in all the I do and learn to accept the outcome no matter what it may be after a long
The central theme of the New Testament is Christology. From the Gospels documentation of the historicity of Yeshua to the return of Yeshua in Revelation, the entirety of the New Testament is based upon Yeshua. The book of Matthew begins with, “The book of the genealogy of Yeshua ha-Mashiach, Ben-David, Ben-Avraham:” Matt 1:1 (TLV).[1] And the book of Revelation ends with, “May the grace of the Lord Yeshua be with all!” Rev 22:20 (TLV).[2] These along with many other scriptures found throughout the New Testament continue to state over and over again the importance of Yeshua and the centrality of Him in the New Testament.
When an unexpected occurrences in life happens we cannot help the feeling of being disappointed when a door suddenly closes in our life. But our Lord knows what's best and has already gone before us and planned out our very lives. We have a choice, to follow where The Lord is leading and to be stretched and brought out of our comfort or to go our own way which is almost always easier and stay in our comfort. God's mercy in promising. We must trust in the Lord with all our hearts, believing he is able and wise to do what is best.
