Terrorism is hard to investigate as it is ever changeable. There is no suspect who would be a perfect match with an average profile of a terrorist as it can be anybody. As the tragic events of 9/11 showed, terrorist are ruthless and their ways of creating fear and cause destruction is unimaginable.
Terroristic acts and terrorist themselves change forms and faces. Terrorists are extremely creative in ways of creating destruction and spreading fear. 9/11 terrorists took down World Center towers by airplanes, and 12/19/2016 a truck blowed in to a crowd of Christmas shoppers in Breitscheideplatz in Berlin, Germany killing 12. Both incidents were religion motivated attacks. Most people know what Osama bin Laden looks like, but recently Islamic State in Iraq and Syria have begun using also women as suicide bombers.

Communication and sharing information between agencies is the key to increase efficiency in investigating terrorism related incident.
After 9/11 President George W. Bush signed the Patriot Act, which helped the investigators to utilize a variety of techniques and resources to conduct surveillance on terrorists, suspects and their supporters. Terrorism investigations should be defined and allowed methods such as easier assess forfeiture, electronically follow money and communications, screen traveling suspects, immigrants and proficient issuance of arrest and search warrants. However aggressive methods, the rights of innocent citizens should always be
Years prior to September 11, 2001 many government officials are believed to have proposed plans to take twin the twin towers in New York City. Whether this is true or not many people from government officials to architects around the world are saying that 911 was a planned attack on U.S soil. They base this off of research and video evidence of the twin towers falling.
On September 11, 2001 at 8:45 am. a horrific event occurred. Four jets had been hijacked by an Islamic terrorist group called Al-Qaeda. They were on a suicide mission to attack the most symbolic and important united states landmarks.
What was the real story of September 11, 2001? In New York City, what seemed to be a normal day for everyone changed -- a plane traveling very fast crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m. Everyone thought it was an accident until another plane crashed into the other twin tower at 9:02 a.m. After the second crash, it was apparent that the occurrence wasn’t an accident. Then, people started to learn that four passengers airplanes had been hijacked by 19 al-Qaeda members behind the work of Osama Bin Laden. The third plane was a minor attack hitting the Pentagon and killing many people working inside the building. Later, the fourth plane which was thought to be heading towards the White House or the Capitol Building
“The attacks of September 11th were intended to break our spirit. Instead we have emerged stronger and more unified.” This quote was said by Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. The 9-11 attacks will be known forever because of the tragic things that people had to go through. They will be remembered for our entire lives and many more.
September 11, 2001 is a day that America will never forget. Most Americans were starting their day, drinking their favorite morning goodness, and getting ready for the day, when a plane flew into the World Trade Center on the television. Just after eight o’clock American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into World Trade Center’s North Tower, and all eyes tuned into New York City to see the catastrophic event. Twenty minutes later during the live news broadcast, United Airlines Flight 175 collided with the World Trade Center’s South Tower. The carnage did not stop there, shortly after nine-thirty American Airlines Flight 77 struck the western face of the Pentagon, and thirty minutes later, United Airlines Flight 93 came down in a field near Shanksville,
9-11 was one of our horrible events that happened in our history. Nearly 3,000 innocent people were killed. There are many theories\opinions about 9-11, more particularly, the terrorists. The terrorists claimed to be ‘muslims’. Some people, like me, didn’t believe them, yet some people unfortunately did.
Many Americans believe that national security only concerns the safety of the white, middle to upper class family. National security should also involve the poor and people of color. Yes, white people have hidden under the blanket of national security since 9/11 due to laws and organizations; such as the Homeland Security Act, which started surveillance of Americans, mostly Arab Americans. American citizens threaten and even kill Middle Eastern- Americans everyday for a crime they did not commit.
In accordance with the National Commission which was concerned about inadequate information sharing following 9/11. (Cordner, Scarborough 2010) I believe it's worth noting that across the board the internalized intelligence and lack of transfer of information has led to a lot of pointed fingers from agencies as to whom could have had a better potential of preventing the attacks of 9/11.
Terrorism is the most concerned conflict the United States has on its agenda today. On September 11th of 2001, two planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, killing over 2,000 people and causing the buildings to collapse. This horrendous event caused the U.S. to start research, prepare, and prevent the terrorist attacks. It was discovered that the planes were hijacked by a group of militants from al-Qaeda (terrorists associated with the Islamic Extremist Group). Although the United States has recovered, the Middle East is continued to be left corrupt and unstable. The U.S. stresses that the Middle East will strike again, especially because the rise of power that terrorists have gained over the past years. Since most countries in the Middle East are unfortunately experiencing such low conditions, terrorism has created a large impact on it.
On September 11, 2001, an Islamic terrorist group, known as Al-Queda, hijacked four American airplanes and attempted to crash them into important United States landmarks, such as the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the White House. Unfortunately, the hijackers succeeded at The Pentagon and World Trade Center. Nearly three thousand people lost their lives because of these attacks. Sixteen years later, people still remember it as one of the most tragic events in US history. On this day, the most massive terrorist attack to ever happen on American soil occurred, yet the after effects of 9/11 are even larger; because of 9/11, the United States has developed safer air travel and immigration policies, but unfortunately, innocent Islamic people suffered and are still suffering from hate crimes.
Terrorist attacks generally take place on a larger scale given the political and ideological reasoning behind the attack. In most cases, state and federal law enforcement agencies take the lead on the investigation and response. However, with most attacks requiring detailed and thorough planning on all levels, local law enforcements agencies are essential to thwarting any potential acts of terror before they occur. The inclusion of these smaller agencies increases the level of preparedness and responsiveness to any potential threat while at the same time, benefiting both smaller and larger agencies.
The 9/11 Attacks shook the nation, If you weren’t old enough to remember that fatal day in 2001 you have heard about it. But How far has our safety as US citizens gone? How been effected since then? Are we truly safer? In the light of all the recent attacks I am beginning to doubt we are.
Terrorism can be defined as the use of criminal violence to try to force a government to change. It can also be defined as the use of criminal violence that groups or individuals use to seek revenge and cause heartache amongst those that they want to hurt/threaten. Most terrorist groups prefer to target people for a more dramatic response and celebrate when the media broadcasts their violent acts on television and throughout the news. Lately, more and more deadly terrorist acts have been captured on film and broadcasted in all parts of the world. Sixty years ago recordings of terroristic acts didn’t spread through the world as quickly as they do now because technology wasn’t as advance. That is just one of the
These are the 5 number summaries and boxplots for questions 7-11. These visual representations show the minimum, first quartile, median, third quartile and maximum. These results show that the most common time that students spend on their electronic devices is between 4pm and 7pm.
Terrorism, which has been around for as long as people can remember, has been on the rise for the past ten years. Terrorists usually use murdering, kidnapping, hi-jacking and bombings to achieve their political purpose. For instance, according to Wikipedia.com (2006), in 1985 816 deaths, then in 2003, more than 1,000 people died by terorist acts around the world. In recent years, terrorism seems to be at a new height and attacks are much more violent than in the past. Unfortunately, in spite of many anti-terror campaigns, projects and organizations are being created for prevention (to prevent) terrorism, the number of terrorists only is increasing. These days terrorism is all over the world.
