The career that I am going to pursue is Mechanical Engineering. The reason why I chose this is because ever since i was little i was always interested in building little cars. I begged by parents to buy me Legos so i could create what ever came to my head. Even there are many types of engineering i want to be the engineer that designs cars.
History of Mechanical Engineering
The history of mechanical engineering is very broad and dates back to ancient times. In ancient Greece, the works of Archimedes which he had designed ships and invented the Archimedes screw which is still used today ("Wikipedia"). The reason that mechanical engineering dates back so long is that people have a natural tendency to make things better then what it is

For example when you think of a war ship in the 1800's it is very different compared to the aircraft carriers of the 21 century because of the term that bigger is better.
Over the centuries the roll of mechanical engineers has changed allot and have benefited technology and the world we live in today. In the early centuries it was used for irrigation and to better transportation for war. In today's world our mechanical engineers make old machines better. They do this by getting the old product and make other models like it with modifications to improve performance. The other component to your engineers today is that they make engines more efficient so they don't pollute as much as the original.Modern cars have been equipped with much more sophisticated fuel systems, the main component of which is the fuel injector. These electronic and automated systems are much more efficient than the carburetor used by the Model T (Carr). Mechanical engineers today make the world better for the future generations of humans to come.
Future Economic and Growth Trends
Mechanical engineers are becoming more important in the modern world and future to come int eh following years. Mechanical engineers in the next two decades will develop cleaner more efficient machines to make to world cleaner and safer (Varassi).Overall engineering employment is expected to grow by 11 percent over the 2008–18 decade("Bureau of
My career interests are a veterinarian, physicist, and bio-technician I love to take care of animals and if I see an injured one I try to help it. I like the study of physics because it deals with matter and energy and how the universe works. I love to work with technology
Because of the people I chose to surround myself around, I found myself wanting to go into the field of engineering. My friends knew I had a passion for math and they suggested engineering as an occupation I should look into. As of result of that, I found myself getting into more hands-on projects in my last two years of high school, as well as taking an engineering focused course in high school to try it out. I fell in love with the career path and since then, I aspire to become an
The career I chose to undertake as my profession is that of a mechanical engineer. Why do I want to become a mechanical engineer? Well, for starters, I would be able to design, build and possibly repair many various machines and other technologies that are complex. These technologies can range from being already in use on a global scale to new, futuristic designs that are highly technical. Also, this career includes being a sort of jack-of-all-trades, where I would possess knowledge in mathematics, physics, etc. Finally, this career offers me the chance to expand outside my immediate area since mechanical engineers are well desired around the globe as well.
Everyone has their dreams and aspirations of what they want to be. The profession I plan to go into is the medical field. I am passionate about this because it feels great to help someone. Whenever a person is in need, it should be an instinct to help them and this is the main reason I am wanting to become a doctor. Every time I am sick I go to the doctor and they are able to help me get better. In a couple of days my sickness would be gone and I would be so happy and thankful that the doctor was able to assist me. This inspired me to become a doctor because once they finished their prognosis it makes the person feel so much better. Since I volunteer in a hospital over the weekends, usually discharging patients or delivering flowers it helps me see an aspect of what it would be like to work as a doctor. Communicating with patients and nurses has shown me it is a pleasure to help others.
For me, the largest draw to joining the Engineering Honors Program is being able to work with and get to know my professors on a level that I wouldn't be able to in a larger classroom setting. In a large classroom setting, I don't see myself getting many opportunities to interact with my professors outside of office hours, which I still absolutely plan to take advantage of, but being in smaller classes would allow me, and the class as a whole, to have more time to ask our professors questions. On the subject of the other students, I believe that being in honors classes will give me the opportunity to interact with some of the smartest people in my graduating class, and I look forward to participating in that smaller and closer-knit group.
From a young age, I have been fascinated by making things and learning how they work. My educational experience and community service projects have given me an appreciation for engineering from project managing and constructing my Eagle Scout project to enjoying my chemistry and physic classes. I plan on obtaining a degree in Engineering because I enjoy taking something from conception to production and I am interested in the science and math behind
Before being introduced into the medical field, I had always seen myself as an engineer. Growing up I was fascinated by how everything worked. When something would break down I would be the first with a screw driver in my hand ready to take it apart. Of course being at such a young age, I would often worsen the situation than fix it, but the thrill and excitement from fixing a broken object meant the world to me. I thought becoming an engineer was my lifelong passion.
The career I have chosen is an Automotive Technician. An automotive technician is a person that is certified to work on vehicles electrically and mechanically. I chose this career because i enjoy working on vehicles and making other people's
Known for creating the first assembly line for cars, Henry Ford reached his goal to create cars that most could afford. Without technological advancements in steel and other materials, the cars would take at least double the time to make. With them, more durable cars could be created for less money. This technological
One significant innovation was the engine that was created in 1712 by Thomas Newcomen. It was, first created to be used in navigation and succeeding to power machinery which revolutionized the world and started the industrial era. The engine acts as a powerhouse making machines move, but needs fuel to keep it running. Mechanical Engineers are assigned to learn the functions of the engine itself and understand how to further improve it by making it reduce the consumption of fuel or to increase the power output. Unlike automobiles, ships and airplanes with their size, still need lots of fuel due to tremendous power needed to be able to move. Cars that run using electricity do not handle gas for fuel, making it eco-friendly, however they do not provide as much power as the cars that run with gas.
Solving problems, working with machines, and learning new things have always been my strong points, I truly enjoy my work so long as I get do something with those three. So when I was told to write a paper on a career path, I thought, “Why not an engineer?” Now of course I didn’t just want to be any engineer, I wanted to be an electrical one. Along with electrical engineering, I wanted to work with the Marine Corps, because I want to be helping people and making my home a safer place, and joining the marines is one of the best ways to do that.
My top career choice is a neurologist. I have chosen this career because not only is it financially rewarding, I can help people live a better life like I always dreamed of doing as a kid. I want to be the person to be recognized for saving lives. I know that this job would be a lot of hard work, but I think all my time would be worth it saving lives. The brain has always fascinated me since I was little, I was always eager to learn more, and discover more things. I realize that this would be a challenge, but it is a challenge I am up for!
Every human being has their own career aspirations. I also put one dream that I want to realize since being in school is to become a mechatronic engineer because of my deep interest in technical fields such as electrical and mechanical. Although, mechatronics engineer is not an easy career to achieve because have many obstacles and challenges to be met but I am sure that I am able to make full preparations for the realization of my dreams as a mechatronic engineer.
When talking about engineering, people would probably have pictures in their mind of engineers using machines producing parts, drawing and sketching designs, or even doing some mathematical calculations. A more general answer to what engineers actually do would be that they solve social problems through the use of machines, devices, systems, materials and processes. They are all absolutely correct. But in reality, both the job and the role of an engineer are more complicated. They do not only have to work with machines and designs. Engineers are often involved in communications and negotiations. They have to work with different people and the responsibility that they have is massive. Important decisions are made by them and they have to use their own judgement. And very often, ethical considerations are already built into the decisions they make. In order to make the best decisions, they have to be understood in the context of their role in society and, moreover, they need to develop good ethical awareness and be able to deal with the dilemmas that they have to face every day.
Obstacles had never been obstructing my effort to succeed in life. As an engineer to be, it is important to me to be prepared for the hurdles in the real world. The world nowadays needs a person who could compete and has great abilities to stand on the same level as others. Multiple skills and critical opinion of an issue are essential for an engineer to jump into this challenging career. For me, a strategic planning and full preparation need to achieve the aim of being an expert engineer.
