Solving problems, working with machines, and learning new things have always been my strong points, I truly enjoy my work so long as I get do something with those three. So when I was told to write a paper on a career path, I thought, “Why not an engineer?” Now of course I didn’t just want to be any engineer, I wanted to be an electrical one. Along with electrical engineering, I wanted to work with the Marine Corps, because I want to be helping people and making my home a safer place, and joining the marines is one of the best ways to do that.
Of course, there is the question of what is electrical engineering or what is an electrical engineer? Later on I will go over the differences between a marine engineer and a civilian engineer, but

First, I will start from the beginning of my career, at college, I’ll go over things like why I chose that college, their tuition and fees, what their engineering staff and buildings are like, and what they are studying in their research facilities. After that I will talk about my military career, which will be a bit longer since I have a lot to go over. In the military section specifically, I want to go over things like the core values of a marine, description of what a military electrical engineer does, and what the requirements are to be a marine. Eventually I will make my way down to civilian engineering, and what life is like as one. The topics I will be covering involve what a civilian electrical engineer is, what jobs you can work, who you can work for, salary and advancements, and how electrical engineers impact the world. I hope you enjoy.
Like most people, you need a college degree for a career, so when I was thinking of ideas for my paper, I thought, “Why not have a section on what college I want to go to?” So I looked around inside the state for some good engineering colleges and I found one that fit in quite well, Purdue University! At first I was a bit sceptical, and I didn’t know much about the school because I never really had to think about the depths of a college’s programs, but after some thinking I decided to give it a chance. I’ll get onto the research later, but for now I want to tell my personal opinion on the school. First, I would like
Well-rounded are the first words that come to mind when I think of Purdue students, especially engineers. I had the pleasure of meeting many influential Purdue engineers who have firsthand experience in the Honors College through my father’s work. These people exemplified the impact that is possible. This and their help has influenced my path in life.
Not only might this program ignite an interest in me pursuing an engineering field in the Army or Navy but would also give me a foundation to build off if I do decide to pursue a profession there. Once I graduate from college I plan to pursue a job that would allow me to gain experience while also giving me the opportunity to continue exploring my career path. After I gather some more experience from my job, I hope to open my own business, specializing in my chosen engineering discipline. The experience and knowledge that I can gain from this program will be valuable in every step of attaining my career
There are no engineers in my family to persuade me into becoming one. It was my own interest and curiosity that drove me into analyzing how things work. Over the years I have developed a passion for solving complex problems that involve technical challenges. I have learnt that an engineering problem does not have a standard solution to it and that an engineer has to choose the best from amongst the various options. The process of applying scientific methods to solve real-life problems continued to intrigue me throughout my years of study, initially in the context of my own behavior, and later to observe and investigate its impact on an increasing affinity towards Engineering.
The career I chose to undertake as my profession is that of a mechanical engineer. Why do I want to become a mechanical engineer? Well, for starters, I would be able to design, build and possibly repair many various machines and other technologies that are complex. These technologies can range from being already in use on a global scale to new, futuristic designs that are highly technical. Also, this career includes being a sort of jack-of-all-trades, where I would possess knowledge in mathematics, physics, etc. Finally, this career offers me the chance to expand outside my immediate area since mechanical engineers are well desired around the globe as well.
An electrician is a tradesperson specializing in electrical wiring of buildings, stationary machines, and related equipment. Electricians may be employed in the installation of new electrical
The career I want to PURSUE in the future is the “MILITARY”. I really had to sit and think if that’s what I really want to do. Getting money is a BEAUTIFUL thing not just to me for everybody. Going to the Military is my way of doing something
Ships have been around for thousands of years, we used them to conquer other countries, to transport food and people, and for our enjoyment. We always need someone to make sure that those ships are running perfect and that it will make it home safe. Those people that work in the ships are called Marine Engineers they are the ones that make sure the ships will make it home. Even though we have been making bigger and better ships we still look back at the older ships and how the Marine Engineering program began.
The career I’ve chosen is the Marine Corps. No it wasn’t because of the Career Cluster Survey. The factors that I desire to be in the Marine Corps is courage and self confidence, pride of belonging, the challenge, leadership and management skills, physical fitness, travel and adventure, self reliance, self direction, self discipline, professional development and opportunities, financial security advancement and benefits, and educational opportunities. I would be enlisted in the Marine Corps. You can go also go as an officer in the Marines but I choose to enlist. Being enlisted means I would participate in, or support military operations, such as combat or training operations, or humanitarian or disaster relief. In the Marines, I’d want to be
In many countries, combat engineers are members of broader military engineering corps or branches. However, some nations have distinct combat engineering corps or branches which are separate from other types of military engineers. During the War in Afghanistan and the 2003–2011 Iraq War the United States Marines tasked its combat engineers with route clearance missions designed to counter rising threats of IEDs. To increase the effectiveness of these units, EOD and mechanic teams are typically embedded with the combat engineer platoon. Due to rising IED threats, the United States Marine Corps sends some combat engineers rank specialist or higher to complete Explosive Ordnance Clearance Agent training to familiarize themselves with types of unexploded
Working alongside topnotch and valiant professors in their fields would teach me proper skills and good ethics, making for real-world preparation. Computer Science is my intended major but I'm undecided as to what to branch into, whether Artificial Intelligence or Cyberspace and Security (much like Felicity Smoak of The Arrow). Regardless, I know that Penn Engineering would allow me to act out of my comfort zone and make an informed decision based on all my attained
I as an electrical engineer pursuing my master in electrical and electronic engineering developed a skill to solve the problem. During my bachelors, I studied natural and physical science and basic fundamentals that are required in the engineering field and also gained vast knowledge how to identify and tackle new problem in the practical world.
Electrical engineers are in a very important career with what they do and how much stuff that electrical engineers have worked on like
First things first, I chose electrical engineering as my career, mostly in my interest of computers and physics. As an electrical engineer I’ll design, develop, test, and maintain electrical and electronic devices; use computers and engineering software to
The report focuses on two main career choices: Electrical Engineer and Computer Engineer. The report is broken down to main section and the following sub-sections:
