The passion and pure talent that Logic brings to the table mixed with his love for Movies and Video Games allows him to create a story driven album that includes lines of controversial subjects summing up Logic's views on the worlds problems. The album revolves around a man (Adam) who has been chosen by God to live through every human life to ever exist before he can proceed to after life, just like Logic's other studio albums this one tells a story woven into the songs. Logic raps from many different perspectives to convey the story presented in the first song "Hallelujah" where the main character is hit by a car sending Adam to have a conversation with God played by Neil Degrasse Tyson. This leads into God telling Adam he is in a waiting …show more content…
"Confess" the next track is a way for Logic to say that he wants to be a greater person by rapping about being a sinner not a saint and asking someone to save him from the holds of his guilt. This song continues and begins to slow down for Logic to sing about wishing for a savior as he is a waste of life. "Confess" brings Killer Mike in to play the role of a man confused question the world why the worst people in the world are on top. Logic pushes into the album with "Killing Spree" a song that Logic uses to talk about what others want to influence his life and changes the subject to speak on the killings that have happened over the past few months. The song becomes a expression of how everyone is becoming so in depth with their phones and computers that the only thing that maters is the screen in front of them. "Take It Back" is the aftermath of "Killing Spree" as the chorus talks about the first black and white man which leads into the first verse where Logic raps from the perspective of experiences he has had with others saying that he isn't black because his skin is too …show more content…
Coming back to the single mother theme Logics raps about a single mother asking God why her "baby daddy beat her" and what she has done to deserve this treatment. This ending of this song wraps up the concept of the album by showing the moments before Adam is reborn asking God advice for humanity in which God states to "live your life" and "enjoy the days you have". Also throwing it back to Logic's last studio album The Incredible True Story by showing the two main characters walking listening to Logic and once the album ends they discuss putting in Logic's last album pointing out the fact that Logic will only release one more album. Near the very end of this song Logic accomplishes his dream of having J Cole on a song by having Cole rap from Logic's perspective and how he thrives for acceptance and love from others. This brings a beautiful ending to the album and really sums up what Logic is all about and what he wants from the
All around the world in one way or the other, everyone tries to sell an idea or an actual thing. Everyone is always trying to convince each other by using different techniques to sell an idea or a thing. In order to sell and persuade an idea or thing, people have to tell it to an audience by using advertising and rhetorical strategies. Rhetoric is to transform and change a person’s perspective and truly convince them of something. An efficient way that marketers convince through rhetorical strategies is through advertising. A market that uses advertising a lot are beauty commercials like the Dove’s Real Beauty “film” commercial.
Most of the time, when we listen to a song, we don’t listen to the words, or what message they are trying to give us. Each song out there has a message in the lyrics somewhere. For this assignment, we were to analyze a song and the lyrics and find the thesis of that song. With thesis, I mean what the message within the song is trying to tell us. The song “I hope you dance” by Lee Ann Womack has a good thesis in some ways, but the thesis could also be argumentative also.
You are relaxing in your chair, just tipping back and forth lightly. You're leaning back a little too far and--woah,close one. Authors use these types of devices to create suspense to draw their readers into their work.Ray Bradbury does just that in "A Sound of Thunder" where the main character ,Eckles, goes on a safari hunt in the past.Through his use of repetition, imagery, and pacing Bradbury creates anticipation in the storyline.
On April 14th, 2017, proclaimed artist, Kendrick Lamar, released his fourth studio album, titled Damn. This fourteen track album was possibly Lamar’s most personal and most in-depth project yet. However, no song on this album, perhaps, reaches the personal level of the fifth track titled “FEEL.” In this song Lamar gives a super in-depth look at what he believes his biggest issues are and allows the listener to realize your own by confessing his. The purpose of this essay is to conduct a rhetorical analysis of Kendrick Lamar’s “FEEL.” and his effective use of the rhetorical devices ethos, pathos, and logos.
In today’s day and age, people don’t comprehend what wishing for war actually means. They are wishing for people to go out and die for their country, while they sit at home, far away, safe, and out of danger. People who do this might know what war entails, but don’t think of the consequences it brings. Mark Twain’s satire piece, The War Prayer shares how people are unaware of what war brings to a society. Twain uniquely uses satire, in the form of irony, to demonstrate society’s obliviousness about what they are wishing to occur or take place.

In Spring Ford Community Theater’s production of A Christmas Carol, the rhetoric utilized by the director and actors in the creation of this play helps strengthen the argument that the tale is still relevant and connects to the modern era, which is proposed in Stephanie Allen’s Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” Told Uncomfortable Truths About Victorian Society, But Does it Have Anything to Teach Us Today?. Through the use of emotional appeals and the chronological progression of the play, this production makes the tale believable and reconnects it to common themes found in modern literature. The purpose of this production is to reinforce how these themes affect life and to display a positive outlook to the holiday season, which is done by the connection of this production with the viewer.
Good morning to you. My name is Jholar. I am a pre-dental student that came to Pittsburgh because University of Pittsburgh had the number one dental school in America. Spring of 2015, I was taking two classes which got challenging, so I made a smart move to drop the two classes. A steady rap drum beat undergirds a repeating melody line of no consequence. A bit catchy, but musically uncomplicated, the treble piano riff continually repeats. Surprisingly, the instrumentation lacks a characteristic rap bass line. The lighthearted melodious sense of dancing along the high notes in time supports a male rapper; his voice reveals a sense of passion and angst. Satirically, the agreeable music contrasts with the piercing, raw, and painful words. Angry, despairing, and hurting lyrics initiate the listener into a long-lived story of domination and oppression, while the lazy and airy back-melody creates a sense of cognitive dissonance. About 400 hundred years ago, a similar contrast emerged between Anne Hutchinson and John
The flavor of an 'E' is quite common since it makes its appearance in most words. It's taste is based on its ripeness and how its used in a sentence or statement. I guess you can say it tastes smooth and rich like chocolate, or maybe sweet and crunchy like an apple. Of course, just because it's common, doesn't mean it's always going to taste different. It's what word you use it in and what sentence you place the 'E' in. When you eat the letter, it'll likely be a creative way of serving your favorite food. Some people even describe it as an exemplary dish of inspiring ideas. Who knows, it could've been used many times in this very paragraph.
The Pope uses a persuasive and convincing tone by telling the people present that if they fight in the Crusade, their sins will automatically be forgiven.
In the song, Eminem’s anger and emotions is used as a premise in the music lyrics, which
