It is hard to determine if someone smoke marijuana and drive. Drunk driving can determine by the blood alcohol level. Testing marijuana level in blood is unreliable. A study done by AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety found that the THC substance in someone’s blood is not supported by science. THC can stay in the body for weeks and it only causes cannabis impairment when it is in the fatty tissue of the brain. It means that it is hard to prove when did someone smoke marijuana and drive. The AAA study recommended that law enforcers stop using the-the blood test and use other methods. The AAA study and many experts think that law enforcers should improve on testing saliva.

Alcohol has been around for years. There has even been a point in time when it was safer than water. As time passed the drink evolved and so did the problems that followed. Addiction, severe health problems, violence, rage, crimes, and even death have been the outcomes to those who fall victim to the beverage. Although the simple solution would be to just ban alcohol all together, I believe adding a system that puts a regulation that can help limit the negatives things caused by it.
When it comes to teaching teens how to drive, parents are understandably concerned. MADD Canada reports that car crashes, often due to inexperience and immaturity, are the leading cause of death for teens. Below explains four ways to help you teach your teen to drive while maintaining your sanity.
The horror stories continue to increase, the lives of the innocent are silenced in one moment, and no highways are safe to use to escape this trauma that has taken the country by storm. The trauma that has caused so many lives and so much tax money is drunk driving. Drunk-driving is not only dangerous for the driver of the vehicle, but also for the passengers and everyone in proximity of the driver 's path. If the penalties are raised for drunk-driving offenses, all of the horror stories of crashes on highways and the loss of innocent lives can be prevented and the frequency of other alcohol related criminal activities would decrease dramatically because the deterrence from the laws would be more effective and have a wider audience.

Although, these campaigns are great, but there was one that stood out to me that may be very effective in bars. I first saw this video on YouTube and caught my attention very quickly and thought to myself, this might really work. Launched in early April a powerful anti-drunk driving initiative “Reflections From Inside”. “Power”, “impressive”, “sobering”, are just a few of the words used to describe the new anti-drunk driving video showing the reactions from patrons at a bar bathroom who are faced with the reflection of convicted drunk driver now serving 15 years. This video is absolutely emotional and brings shivers down your spine to really think twice about drinking and driving. “In 2010, Kris Caudilla, 27, pleaded guilty in August to one

This problem is far too common, especially among the young. Despite numerous attempts to enforce the slogan "don't drink and drive" into the minds of people everywhere, it can often fall on deaf ears. A person needs to understand this message early and needs to be exposed to it often. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Today, only one in every three parents have discussed a clear “no use” message about alcohol behind the wheel with their children. The problem is not just going to vanish into thin air. There needs to be some sort of action. If not, the problem of alcohol use while driving will remain a problem for people of any age. It is sad to say that drunk driving is very common in today’s world, it is especially common in teenagers. Teens would go to parties and drink and get behind the wheel without thinking about the consequences that lie ahead. They do not listen to those movies or information about drunk driving and they usually think that something like that could “never happen to me”. Me being a teenager myself I know how we think. That is why I think drunk drivers should be jailed, even for a first offense. Teens will think that if they get behind the wheel drunk for the it will be okay because it is only their first offense. That should not be the case for something this serious.
