Abortion is one of the most debatable subjects in the United States. It is one of the touchiest subjects of our time primarily due to widely varying beliefs concerning the exact moment at which “life” actually begins. There are many points of view toward abortion but the only two fine distinctions are "pro-choice" and "pro-life.” As expected, there are many people against abortion, these people are better referred to as "pro-life advocates,” they advocate the life of the baby over the woman 's right to choose. Pro-life advocates feel that there are other options other than abortion. Adoption, for instance, provides an alternative to abortion. Many pro-life advocates feel like, 'you choose to have sex, and now you must face the consequences of your actions. ' But what if you were raped? Should you be forced to have a child? Yes, they believe abortion is ripping away someone’s life that they don’t even get a chance to live. Pro-life activists have a moral agenda against the abortion of unborn fetuses, calling it murder. Their views are usually fueled by religious reasons and convictions rooted in Christian beliefs. While the general Christian stance is to be against abortion. However the issue is not as strongly rooted in religion, but rather in a concern for mothers, and their possible future children.
