Abortion has been a debate that has always been a sensitive subject that continues to divide Americans in the United States. In our society there is a division of beliefs between pro-choice and pro-life. Pro- choice advocates for women’s rights ultimately to decide, for pro-life fundamentally is totally against abortion, the fight for preserving all human life regardless of the saturations and concerns. Substantially, abortion is a topic that has risen more controversial throughout the years, even in politics it has been a debate for the nation, in the Republican and Democratic party. The controversy surrounding abortion has been long debated since the Roe v Wade case (1973) as pro-life advocates and pro-choice advocates go neck to neck on whether the process should be banned or remain legal. According to APA (American Psychological Association), abortion is the “medical or surgical termination of a pregnancy and is one of the oldest, most common and most controversial medical procedures”. To be Pro-Life means to be against the termination of a fetus; one who is not in favor of the practice. Pro-life advocates believe a woman should continue the pregnancy and deliver the baby no matter the circumstance. Pro-choice represents those who believe the woman deserves a choice to carry the baby or have an abortion. Although the 1973 Roe vs Wade case legalized abortion, abortion is still currently a much heated debate in America as the surgical procedure is possibly on the verge of becoming illegalized. However, abortion should definitely remain legal for various reasons such as individual freedom, victim protection, life opportunities, failed contraception, and it is not fair for the government to make such crucial decisions for a woman’s life.

For many years, the topic of abortion has been very controversial. Many people who are Pro-Life believe that abortion is murder; that by committing this act an innocent human being is killed. However, individuals who are Pro-Choice argue the opposite. They believe that abortion is a “fundamental right” that is guaranteed to all citizens of the United States due to our U.S. Constitution. Not only do they believe that it is a right, but they also believe that allowing women to have a choice over when they want to have a child is very empowering.

Others may look at abortion it is right thing to do if you’re not ready to bring in a child into this world. Abortion can be very emotional situation for a woman. Some people believe that a fetus is living at conception and some believe that it is living at birth when it starts to cry. I believe that a fetus is considered living 3 months after being in the womb when it starts developing distinct features. Abortion, which is the deliberate termination of human pregnancy, brings up a very controversial debate between the pro choice and the pro life people. Abortion is legal in some parts of the world and is illegal in others. In my opinion, women should be able to choose if they want the child or not based on their current circumstances.

Human life is a beautiful thing but that doesn’t gives us the right to take away women's choice whether or not to have a baby. We think abortion should stay legal because women will find illegal and harmful ways to do it if it becomes illegal, it is also their fundamental right, also the fetus is technically, not a human being until it can survive outside of the womb. In 1880 abortion was illegal so women would purposely miscarry and use other ways to kill the fetus most of the ways were extremely harmful and sometimes ended up killing the mother to. Getting a safe abortion is a women’s right and also just respectful to their own body and what they decide to do with it. So agree with taking away women’s right that's fine by me but first read this to understand us better.

An argument is established by two couples consisting of a man and and woman disputing whether or not to keep a baby when it is first produced. In order to have a definite answer for this conflict, many more questions must be answered like “is it murder to have an abortion?”

95% of women who have abortions do not regret it. Everyone has rights and abortions should be one of them. Abortion is a fundamental right. It has to be a right because without it the mother's health would be at risk, abortion is completely safe, and the fetuses cannot feel pain when abortions are performed.
