a.) God—The practice of ministry has given me numerous opportunities to interact with people at different stages in life’s journey…birth, death, marriage, divorce, sorrow, struggle, celebration, and so much more. These relationships have allowed me to see God at work in the everyday world. I have seen God as Comforter for the grieving as a wife mourns the loss of her husband of 55 years. I have seen God as Liberator for the oppressed as the church works toward helping those placed on the outskirts of society experience God’s amazing grace for them in so many different ways. I have seen God’s salvation through the struggles of a women facing life’s end as she struggled to forgive herself and embrace the grace God already had in place for her since before she was born. I have also see God as the Uncomfortable Agitator of the self-centered as people who think they have it all figured out begin to once again struggle with what it means to be a child of God and truly love one another in this world. As I continue through ministry, I am faced with the stark reality that my understanding of God is so minuscule in its breadth. God does not fit in the boxes we try to place God in. As I
4. State your own theology of proclamation, incorporating a statement on the way in which preaching relates to a "theology of presence."

While walking out of the building, I found myself walking the same path as a classmate who was also leaving. “What did you think of that, Taryn?” With a smile upon her face, she looked up and said, “I just love how great it is to have that time to fellowship and have with God during a stressful week.” Her answer summed up my feelings perfectly. “Have you joined?” Not

Timothy and I met today. We worked on his checklist and made sure that he has accomplished all the items on his the checklist from our last meeting.
On September 8, 2015, I have decided to interview my cousin Sally Chia about her relationship with Jesus. My cousin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is 28 years old. She currently lives in Las Vegas and works as a pharmacist. I chose to interview her because I figured she had a close relationship with Jesus. This is because when I was growing up she was the one who taught me about Jesus and his teachings. I have known my cousin Sally all my life, which is for about 14 years. During the interview I asked questions about her own personal relationship with God, and she answered my questions with great answers.

In addition to my objectives, my goal in this senior ministry integration is that I am attempting to answer difficult questions about Christianity through teaching of small group. I am not only did I have the opportunity to preach that two week ‘s evening, but also I had a couple individuals ask questions about Christianity that I also attempted to explain following my message.
The main thing that really gave me a lot of pause was reading through the story of Jesus calming the storm in Mark chapter four. When the "great windstorm" came up, Jesus' disciples were terrified. They woke Jesus, who had been sleeping during the storm, saying "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?" Jesus answered by calming the seas (!), and responded to the men with a question of His own: "Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?" As I read this, I wondered what I would have done had I been in that boat during the storm, having just recently heard my sleeping teacher preach on faith. Then I realized...I don't really have to imagine what I would have done as a disciple, because I encounter what I perceicve to be storms frequently in the sea of my own life. When the winds start blowing, I act just like the disciples, panicking because I don't have everything under control. I have felt God leading me to more "faithful faith" lately, and this passage really encouraged me to focus on putting my trust on
Therefore, once the night session was winding down, I asked my neighbor could she stay after, so we could talk. I explained to her that the Lord told me to talk to her, I do not know why, but I am sure she knows. She began to tear up, and said thank you for your obedience. She began to say, how she had felt alone on this trip, and no one had asked her to hang out or even to lunch. My heart began to melt, because now I understood, why I had to experience the melt down with the Minister that morning, so I could be prepared to talk to her that night. So as I ministered to her, she immediately felt the Lord’s comfort, and I told her if we did anything tonight I would invite her. As we continued to talk, two other women joined our conversation, and we just had a good time
My first question to pastor Bill was that interested me greatly, especially as I compared it to the personal experience I had with God’s call on my life. I asked about his experience with how and why he was called into ministry. His story was captivating, like myself, his wife felt the tug before he did. This call seems close to my own as my wife brought it to my attention before I realized what God was doing. When reflecting on this situation I think about Mark 4:24, “And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you.”
¶ 324.9a - Describe your personal experience of God and the understanding of God you derive from biblical, theological, and historical sources.
In addition, I was sure I had compassion for others. With Pastor/Shepherd as a strong gift, this was a sure fit together. Examining my life deeper, I found where I fell short. I will listen to someone explain what they are going through and once it has been explained, let’s dust off and get back in the fight. A warrior
