comfort zone. Unfortunately, storms arise in life, wind blows and rains fall; sunshine comes and goes to be replaced by dark moments or night time. And in the natural, some people in some circumstances fail to see well in dim light or at night time. This is called night blindness or nyctalopia. This is explained by a defect affecting the photoreceptors mentioned earlier as the rod cells. This defect can be a degenerative condition called retinitis pigmentosa, or a congenital disorder known as x-linked congenital stationary night blindness, or simply a malnutrition problem with a deficiency in vitamin A found in dairy products, liver, watercress, carrots, sweet potatoes, etc.… The treatment if any depends on the underlying cause.
With the above description and explanation, needless to say that some people serve God in good times but not in bad times. They follow the Lord for multiplication of bread, healing, deliverance

Blind spot allows us to give another opportunity to our loved ones while we are quick to identify others’ mistakes then criticize and condemn them. Blind spot helps us understand the efforts of our own as they are trying to change while all that seems obvious in the others around us are their shortcomings. Blind spot can cause us to be self-righteous: we are always right and others wrong. We are unfair to others in our judgment and dealing with them because of blind spot. Be aware of blind spot! Be aware of blind spot! Take heed of Jesus admonition: “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thy own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thy own eye? Thou, hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” (Matthew
It is easy to judge individuals based on our crooked misconceptions. Sight is a useless physiological sense if one is unable to view/perceive things on a deep, meaningful level. Due to this, individuals tend to allow other relationships to trigger personal insecurities within. One must be capable to share a vision with others to achieve enlightenment and self-awareness. In “Cathedral” by Raymond Carver, the author utilizes various rhetorical devices to convey the importance of perception and sight.
Every person in the world has blind spots. Some people are too mean, or maybe some people are too nice, or some one could trust everyone and some people could trust no one. A blind spot is an imperfection you have like those couple examples above. In the story To kill A Mockingbird by Christopher Sergel all of the charters have blind spots but I am only going to talk about a couple of them. Then in my second paragraph I am going to talk about real life occurrences of blind spots.
A) What is the blind spot? B) Discussion two reasons why we are not usually aware of the blind spot.A Blind spot is a blockage of vision from lack of perception. The lack of perception is due to the lack of Photoreceptors on the optic disk
Jesus paid the price that we could not pay for our sins to redeem us from death and being eternally separated from him. No matter our shortcomings and our stubbornness, God still chooses to work in us and through us despite ourselves. (Veith G. E., 2002) This is exemplified by God allowing us to serve and be served by people from all walks of life. I think it is to remind us of our dependence on Him. Just as we realize that we cannot make it in life without God’s help, we cannot make it in life without the people around us, the everyday ordinary people. “God, who pours out his generosity on the just and the unjust, believer and unbeliever alike, hides himself in the ordinary social functions and stations of life, even the most humble”. (Veith G. , 1999) Our service would not be possible if Christ had not done for us what we could not do for ourselves.
Everyone is blind in one way or another. Whether it is self-imposed or received from the influence of others, people cannot observe all of another’s personality and character. People simply assume, especially in Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. In the early stages of the book, Atticus raises Scout and Jem to be understanding and accept people for who they are. He refuses to see the bad side of anyone. Later, Bob Ewell, a pauper and a drinker, demonstrates that he doesn’t follow any moral guidelines when he clashes with Atticus. Through the story, readers learn that people that blind themselves to any part of another’s character, like Bob Ewell’s, might endanger their personal future and posterity.
Visual impairment is a state wherein an individual experiences difficulty in seeing or not being able to see anything physical presented to them. According to Mandal, MD (2013) It is a state where a visually impaired person’s eyesight cannot be corrected back to a “normal level”. Visual impairment is often associated with old age. In Europe, an estimated 15.5 million people have visual impairment and in seven countries in Europe, about 50% of blindness is caused by age-related macular degeneration. (Dibb,
The Bible also says, “We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up,” and, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

As believers we should be striving to serve other people through the work we are called to do in the world. Timothy Keller says in chapter 4 of his book "Every Good Endeavor”. " How does God give a city security? Isn't it through the lawmakers, police officers, and those working in government and politics? So God cares for our civic needs through the work of others, whom he calls to that work”. What Timothy Keller is stating here is that God calls us as believers to work in our jobs for the benefits of others.
“When you serve others, you give a piece of your soul away. In return, God comes to fill that empty piece with a piece of Himself.”
Believers are called as Christians to assist those in need and those who are struggling in their walk with Christ and life. The fatherless and widows are mentioned particularly, because they are usually neglected or oppressed. It is our jobs as Christians to help those who need help. It is our duty to surround those who are struggling with love and to provide them with assistance in their troubling time of
The chapter states, “God calls people to different vocations; a call from God to serve others through designing sound bridges, reflecting God’s beauty through the arts, or teaching children to read is not less worthy than a call to be a pastor or missionary” (Hiles & Smith, 2014). After reviewing the Chapter 11, “finding your purpose” section, some of the ways that people might discover their purpose is by finding out what makes them happy, what are their strengths, passions, and missions. Followers of Jesus find their purpose by serving others, with love and giving back like Jesus does. For example, changing careers might help people their purpose. Also, serving God and people by having a vocation or an interest that makes them feel alive

Christian servants are people who serve others while under the direct influence of God and knowing first-hand that the works they perform are for a greater purpose. They accomplish this by having Jesus as the greatest example of how to put others first and being a servant unto others. The Bible has many examples of not only Jesus portraying acts of servanthood, but those included Paul, Peter, Abraham, Moses, and many others. The entire faith of Christianity is built on the Gospel and thus spreading the word of God through helping people. Non-Christian servants are similarly the same except they serve people of a higher power but without the influence of God. As a Christian servant, I firmly believe that God has given me a specific calling to help people, which is something I try to fulfill with everything I
Retinitis pigmentosa(RP) is an inherited, degenerative eye disease that causes severe vision impairment due to the progressive degeneration of the rod photoreceptor cells in the retina . Retinitis pigmentosa is one of the most common inherited diseases of the retina, affecting 1.5 million people worldwide. Up to 150 mutations are known to cause retinitis pigmentosa, which includes three genetic inheritance patterns- autosomal dominant inheritance, autosomal recessive inheritance, or X-linked inheritance. Symptoms often first appear in childhood that patients would endure nyctalopia, the decreasing vision at night or in low light, then lost of peripheral vision causing “tunnel vision” and finally,
