Additionally our contemporary culture strives to make makeup or beauty products for females that are supposed to assist with maintaining a youthful and vibrant physical appearance. This type of discrimination can have a significant negative impact on the care and well-being of elderly people. “How people view and perceive the aging process varies greatly from culture to culture. Depending on cultural norms, beliefs, and standards, aging can be seen as an undesirable phenomenon, reducing beauty and bringing one closer to death, or as an accumulation of wisdom and status worthy of respect”(Boundless, 2016).
