Kuileipualilia Aikau Personal Statement
I want to go to college because it’s something I need to do in order to succeed in life. I would also be the only person in my family to attend college, none of my siblings or parents attended college and that pushes me and motivates me to go to college and have the experience they never got to have. And it would make my family very proud. In this life I have learned that if you desire something you have to turn those desires into goals and set out on a path that leads to achieving them. My first step towards doing so is going to college to pursue a higher education.
I am furthering my education at a college level because of the many benefits it will offer me such as learning and growing amongst many with the same or

I plan to live away from my family when I go to college which will give me the chance to develop necessary skills needed in life such as learning to be more responsible and independent giving me a sense of self pride. Furthermore, I intend to study becoming an emergency medical technician & I will become a certified paramedic. I am Passionate about helping and caring for others, an eye for detail, and fascinated with the human body gave me the idea that I would exceed in the department of health therefore, I decided to major in becoming an EMT. EMT program itself is a very broad occupation with many different degrees and lots of job opportunities and you will also have a sort of job security which will be very beneficial when you have to worry about providing for a family in the future. In this career you will experience difficult challenges that will contribute to building a strong character but knowing that you are making a difference in people’s lives everyday makes it that much more of a rewarding career. As far as goals, I intend on graduating from college and fulfill my aspiration of having a professional career. Growing up, my father has always worked minimum paying jobs and living for paycheck to paycheck, while my mother has always been a housewife. Whenever it came to school, my parents encouraged me to do my best in my studies.
success. I have determination because I took a year off of school and realized not graduating high school
no longer have to balance a job to pay living expenses, college fees, books, and other materials
I am a disabled father of 6 children, attempting to discover a way to keep up with societies rapid pace. I am educated in several vocational skills, but the visual disability I live with deters me from practicing successful employment at the labor levels of my experiences. By pursuing a degree in business administration more doors will be potentially open for me to explore operating a business of my own as a sole-proprietership. However, tuition for school seems to be a potential setback from getting started. Operating a self-sufficient green farmer seems like the route of business that I will be able to manage. With the curriculum I have my abilities to handle most operations has already increased. I have already achieved a gain in my self-awareness from achieving excellent grades. If possible, furthering my education goal to include additional courses may help in developing my business plan.
A college degree is important for a variety of reasons for both the young and the old, namely to develop or improve one’s trade skills, to experience different cultures and to increase one’s educational background in order to attain a higher paying job. For me, a college degree is important because it will help me to attain the educational background I need to make myself more marketable in the ever changing workforce. It will also provide me with the confidence and skills needed to apply for a better paying job or aid me in attaining the ever elusive promotion, if I so desire.

A college education will take me many places and open up many career opportunities for me. Without a college education, I would not be prepared for the cruel world. Going to college will help me develop the skills that are essential to be successful in this world. The motto that pushes me to get through my day is “you only get out what you put in”. Throughout my time in college, I have learned more about myself, and who I truly am. By keeping myself involved on campus, I have made connections and have built relationships with my peers. After my time at Kansas State University, my goal is to become a physical therapist because it will allow me to help make an impact on others. Without a college education I would be stopping myself from achieving my goals.

By going to college I could conquer my dream of changing the world, whether by finding a new way of producing electricity in third world countries or finding a way to increase efficiency of factories here in the homeland.
I would like to attend college to make a statement. When I was in middle school and my freshmen year of high school, I was not the most educated person. I want to go to college to make a career out of my self. I want to make an impact on this world when I grow up.
Another reason for why I think college will help me in my future is pursuing a career. I was so glad to be accepted into Thomas More because I knew that they had my major. Therefore, because of choosing
The benefits of a college degree are getting a good job. Also being able to support yourself, and maybe a family one day. When you put in as much time as you’re likely going to in building a career, it’s important that you choose something you can perform well and enjoy. By learning about each of your many options and making yourself aware of your choices, you will increase your chances of being more satisfied with your career later in life. The more formal education you have, the more confident you will be. But one of the key benefits of a college degree is the unique bonds which are developed in a person’s life.
In today’s world, I feel a college education is crucial and offers so much to a young person starting their next step in life. Education opens up doors by allowing more choices and opportunities by choosing what you are interested in and starting in that career path. Education exposes you to a variety of people and experiences you might not get otherwise. Education can expand your mind by allowing you to achieve better knowledge and skills to obtain in life. Education can also give you a great sense of security and respect throughout your entire life. These are all reasons why I want to go to college. My career goal is to attend a 4-year college and obtain my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I would then like to continue on in a Master’s
When I was maybe around 8 years old, I dreamed constantly of going to college. I wanted the entire experience; the dorms, the parties, the activities on the campus, and club. Never thought it would be something that actually helped me. Now, sitting here 20 years later I realize the frame of mind wasn't there. So if i could go back to then and change that "attitude" i had about school and what it could mean for not just me but my career, my family and my personal knowledge; I would.
<br>Christmas on 1997 my family and I went to The Banquet which is a local food provider for the less fortunate in Sioux Falls. Being thrilled about this certain project my mom decided we should do was not quiet my attitude. I didn't want to spend Christmas in a dusty old high school serving food to people. Why could we just be normal and stay home with family. But despite all my protest it was set and we were going.
