Nowadays we know that blindness is a physical disability. We may identified a blind person as a vulnerable, hapless, and defenseless. Many people can suffer this condition and some people are able to live with it, even though there are people who are not able to face it. Therefore, in the novel All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerrn there is a particular character who I feel completely impacted. I would like to probe by the character of Maria Laure what I learned from her blindness, what I believe about Maria Laure experiences.

It is a completely disaster for her and her father because she is not prepare to assume about this disability. Even though she has to learn how to eat, how to identify the objects she is completely brave. Maria Laure’s father is an important fact in her life since she finds hope, love, and loyalty. I believe that, her father is a fundamental piece in Maria Laure’ life because her father convinced her to believe, to have faith, and self-confidence for overcoming every day blindness. For example, his father teacher her to develop her sense of touch by giving her some puzzles, the Sant- Malo model, and the magazines for blind people. Evidently, Maria Laure self-esteem represents her as a courageous girl, and I think she is able to learn every day thanks to her father motivation. In addition “For a long
