I think the Letter from the Birmingham City Jail which was written over 53 years ago, is one of the most brilliant letters I have every read. 1963 was the year Martin Luther King Jr. was arrested and placed in a Birmingham jail because he and others were protesting the treatment of blacks in Birmingham, Alabama.
