Five individuals are each given a two hundred piece puzzle with two instructions, they can only put it together on their own and it has to be complete. The observer notices, one individual dumps the whole box out and quickly begins turning each piece over. Another begins grouping like images together while someone else is pulling out all border pieces. The fourth individuals is pulling out all of the middle pieces, and the fifth individual doesn’t have any pattern at all. Each one of these individuals have the same objective, but what is being observed is that each action being carried out to meet the objective is different. Consider this same concept, but from a business perspective. Many companies and their respective departments, such as human resources have the same objective which is to do what is best for the company and the company’s employees, the difference is how it’s accomplished. The challenge for companies can be that different situations call for different actions. Taking appropriate actions in situations that involve the rights of employees, such as dogs in the workplace and sexual harassment or working requirements, such as telecommuting and virtual teams can be crucial for the company and human resource managers. To begin with, although it may initially sound a bit peculiar there is the situation of dogs in the workplace. There is some debate surrounding whether or not dogs belong in the workplace, some individuals promote that it relaxes and motivates
Employees bringing their pet dog to work is a very controversial topic. An abundance of people support this idea, because they feel they would be more productive, happier, more relaxed, and less stressed. However, many people feel like bringing dogs into the workplaces only causes problem such as, allergies, behavioral episodes, and any fearful mindsets the employees may have. I feel like dogs, while they bring many great qualities to anywhere they go, should not be allowed into a work area unless need-be.
Officer Lerma, this is your annual Employee Performance Appraisal. This appraisal reflects the observations made by myself as well as Sgt. Drake A9663 and Sgt. Camenisch B0467 from your Blue Team Supervisor Notes. During this period you have been assigned to Durango Jail on Shift 2.
I, along with the author of, "Against Bringing Dogs to Work," believe that dogs should not be allowed in the workplace because they can be a distraction or harm other employees or property.
I believe letting your employees bring their dogs to work is a great way to boost their motivation and work ethic.
author explains that because of dogs dominating places like the office and the gym, people feel
Next, you need to think about your co-workers and your enviroment. in the work place the dog may become a distraction and lead to less working and more play. in the, "in support of bringing dogs to work" paragraph he states. researchers have found that when pet owners interact with their dogs, they experience a sense of well-being and feel less stress and anxiety."
It would be an admirable concept to incorporate therapy dogs in to the office. Staff has previously mentioned their interest in this topic multiple times, and now we can meet their requests. Therapy dogs are known to make employees not only happier, but healthier. Dogs are known for reducing stress and anxiety in humans; while also temporarily lowing their blood pressure. Some other interesting health benefits are a quicker recovery from heart disease and improvement on people’s psychological well-being and self-esteem.
In certain work places i do belive dogs can be a positive energy and a relaxing company to have around the work place. In my own experiance at school some of the teachers bring theyre dogs to work, the dogs are very quiet and nice which helps me feel relaxed and able to reduce stress in the classroom. Another reason i am in support of the bring your dog to work program is beacause, in the article it states that theyre are studies showing that bringing your dog to work can increase the work productivity and workers have a sense of relaxation also more people experience a sense of well
Another reason I believe dogs should be home instead of at the work place is the constant attention a dog needs whether it be food and water or to be brought outside. This is more time that an employee will not be working so even if that employee got more done in less time over the course of a day it probably amounts to the same amount of work a stressed employee would complete.
We need to verify whether the following staff persons "require" Microsoft Visio 2010 to do their job or not. Since we have a very limited number of Visio licenses, as DBHIDS is only licensed for 25 Visio seats, we should remove Visio from workstations of those that do not require it. Only 25 DBHIDS staff persons can have Visio installed on their workstation and these staff persons must actually create Visio documents as a requirement for their job.

Henrietta: Pam Gilmore enjoys working with others here at Master Media and she is a reliable agent. She is always on time for her scheduled shift and remembers all passwords. Pam does well reviewing her updates before taking her first call. She does display good listening skills. Pam listens to her callers and she will do all she can to meet their need. Pam has a kind customer service demeanor; however she does seem easily frustrated at times. Even in the mist of frustration she is very respectful of her tone at all times. Overall, I encourage Pam to be more positive in the workplace. Often she has a difficult time understanding policies and procedures. When these policies and procedures are explained Pam agrees and does what is right
In conclussion, I believe that bringing your dog to work could be very beneficial. Although only under strict rules, could such a frivalous
First I would like to acknowledge the fact that I understand why many employees think that this would be a positive change. My pets make me extremely happy and do indeed relieve stress, however, they also require a large amount of attention. There are many responsibilities when it comes to dogs including taking them outside, watering them, feeding them, making sure they don't wander off,
In Sydney, Australia workers at the Purina Petcare office are given the opportunity to bring their pets to work. The staff says this helps reduce stress and improves communication between co-workers. Even the Nestle building (where the Purina Petcare office resides) has jumped on the bandwagon to providing their employees with opportunities to destress. They have “wellness Wednesdays” where everything from meditation to financial health checkups are offered for 40 minute sessions. They have also implemented meeting-free days on Fridays from 9 AM to 1 PM to ensure that everyone has time to get individual work done without being interrupted by meetings. The article represents a form of disciplinary control, functionalism ideology, and charismatic
