Hemorrhoids also called "piles", are a difficult and painful condition. It can restrict your movements and interfere with the daily routine, also it may create embarresment in the affected person. They are veins around your anus or anal canal that are abnormally dilated. Hemorrhoids may be located inside the rectum called internal hemorrhoids, or they can develop under the skin outside the anus and are called external hemorrhoids. Statistics studies shows that this is a common problem in the population. About 50% to 70% americans are affected sometime during their lives. By age 50 about more than half adults have this condition. Many women experience increased pressure during pregnancy due, in part because the uterus sits directly on the blood vessels that drain the hemorrhoidal veins, this lead to the formation of hemorrhoids.
Pathophysiology
Obstruction to the flow of blood in the veins of the rectum, constipation or diarrhea, straining during bowel movements, lack of a high-fiber diet, sedentary life style, prolonged sitting in the toilet, postponing bowel movements, heavy lifting, lack of not enought liquids comsuption and heritage and some of the common causes of this condition. As explain above, pregnancy could be one cause too. Diseases such as rectal cancer can lead to hemorrhoids, frequent use of laxatives and in some patients vitamins deficiency or hypertension.
Syns and Symptoms The most common symptoms are icthing, bleeding, irritation and disconfort.
It is also caused by your slowed digestion and the pressure your uterus places on your rectum.
The principal symptoms of Crohn’s disease are diarrhea and abdominal pain. Other symptoms include abdominal cramping and tenderness (often in lower right area), abdominal distention, fever, fatigue, and rectal bleeding. Bleeding may be serious and persistent, leading to a low red blood cell count or anemia. As the disease progresses, malnutrition, dehydration, electrolyte, imbalances, increased peristalsis, and pain around umbilicus may occur. Another symptom to be
Hemorrhoids: The hemorrhoids are caused when the blood doesn't pump through the veins properly. This would not be the case in the humans that stays active because it would constantly pump the veins. But, humans who are inactive, this can lead to their veins storing the blood. After a while the vein would get bigger and bigger and leave a person in pain. This can also lead to the vein getting popped and all the blood draining out. This also tells us that we have not built to just sit for a longer period of
The direct cause of this disease is unknown although several theories do exist; immune system problems, genetics or environmental factors. Most experts believe that genetics and intestinal bacteria are the developing factors of the disease. Theoretically, the adaptive immune system of an otherwise healthy individual will try to compensate for a deficient innate immune system creating white blood cells to destroy helpful microbes which inadvertently tear down the lining of the intestines causing ulcers, scar tissue and narrowing of the lumen within the intestine causing blockage. ( meded, 2010) Genetically, research has found a gene, NOD2, which produces a mutation and is linked to autoimmune diseases like Crohn’s.
Hemorrhoids are veins that are swollen or enlarged in the rectum or anus. The can be either external or internal. The causes for hemorrhoids are pregnancy, pushing too hard when releasing stool, and obesity. Treatment may include special cream to reduce swelling (external), change of diet, ice pack and also surgery to get them removed.
Instead surrounding the blood vessel lining will be red blood cells that stop because the plasma has become damaged and completely surround the vessel not allowing blood to flow through, a thrombus has now been created. Knowing how important is that your blood have enough space to transport what it is responsible for you can notice how serious and threatening this can be. Atypical HUS will effect both children and adults. This disease is yet so rare that there is not an exact number to give one person pertaining to numeric value of children and adults effected. There has been approximately one to three million cases of aHUS. The prevalence is unknown, doctors are discovering more and more cases so we know there are still so many more people out there but it is only a matter of finding them. There lied a myth that said it effected children and a very low percentage of adults founded cases proofed otherwise, aHUS has effected 59% of children and 41% of adults. So what is Atypical HUS? Hemolytic anemia and thrombocytopenia are the key components of the hemolytic and uremic stands for the renal
Crohn’s disease tends to cause blockages in the intestine, because thickening of the intestinal wall causes acute inflammation, which narrows the lumen of the small intestine.
Straining frequently while passing stool can bring about piece of the rectum — the end of the large intestine — to project outside the anus (rectal prolapse). At the point where this happens in children, it might be an indication of cystic fibrosis.
The common causes of prolapse are childbirth, loss of hormones at menopause, being overheavy and chronic diseases which create lots of pressure inside the belly (such as chronic lung illness, which causes sizeable congestion and coughing). It is less common in females who have not had babies, and most common in those who have had problematic vaginal
and bowels. This problem can contribute significant impact to the life of one person. Some
Slow movement of stool through the colon is what usually cause constipation. The lack of fiber and water can also cause
Hemophilia is a problem with the blood in a person that causes them to bleed not any faster than normal, but they often bleed for a longer period. Their blood is missing the clotting factor (a protein in the bloodstream that works to control bleeding). Hemophilia is quite rare; roughly 1 in every 10,000 persons are born with it. Rarely, hemophilia can be an acquired disease which just means a person is not born with it, but will develop it during their lifetime. This rarity occurs when a person's immune system forms antibodies that attack the clotting factor in the blood. The entire antibody population fights against the blood to prevent the clotting factors from working properly.
The sign and symptoms of PPH include; the apparent excessive bleeding, hematocrit-reduction of the number of red blood cells, reduced blood pressure, development of symptoms of shock and anaemia, and severe pain and swelling of tissues and muscles of the vagina, vulva, pelvic and perineum (Simpson & Creehan, 2008). Besides, Ricci & Kyle (2009) avow that there are different factors that place a mother at risk for PPH, and they comprise; prolonged first, second or third stage of labour, previous history of PPH, foetal macrosomia, uterine infection, arrest of descent and multiple gestation. Other risk factors may include; mediolateral episiotomy, coagulation abnormalities, maternal hypertension, maternal exhaustion, malnutrition or anaemia, preeclampsia, precipitous birth, polyhydramnios and previous placenta previa (Ricci & Kyle, 2009).
Bullying, specifically teen bullying, has become a worldwide predicament. Nearly “30 percent of teenagers in the U.S. have been involved in bullying, either as a bully or as a victim of teenage bullying” (Bullying Statistics, 2015). Bullying makes individuals fearful and feel unsafe in their own environment. Often times, the media discusses bullying frequently. It has become a topic that has influenced the public perception. Bullying in the media has had some negative and positive effects. It has positively shown people that bullying is not inevitable nor unstoppable. The media also shows that it is not going unnoticed in society. The negative aspects tend to stereotype individuals who are bullied have a weakness predisposing that individual to bullying because they are flawed. Furthermore, the media and literature portray bullying in movies and books to let others feel as if they are not alone in this bullying epidemic, which pushes them further into isolation. I personally find myself believing that the exposure to bullying in the media gives society a chance to understand the harmful effects it can have on individuals. Furthermore, the media gives society a chance to understand how to prevent it and provide a safe environment for those exposed to bullying. This targets audiences of all ages because all play an integral part in halting bullying.
•It is not even known to be the definite cause because it is still unknown the exact cause of eclampsia but it has been said that it is from the abnormal cells of blood vessels. Some contributing risk factors associated with eclampsia are: history of high blood pressure prior to pregnancy, mother carrying more than one baby, a mother or sister that had a history of eclampsia, or obesity, woman over the age of 30, and a woman that has had no prenatal care.
