On March 26th, 2004, I was named Ana Reed Margolis. When my parents named me there was no exact meaning to my name, they just liked it. I was named in homage to my great-grandmothers Anne and Annessa, but they changed the name so I would be my own person. It also translates well into most language. This was a factor as if I wanted to travel, my name wouldn’t be an issue. My first name is actually an interesting one. The literal meaning of Ana (Derivative of the Hebrew name חַנָּה (Channah)) is "favour" or "grace". It was most popular in 1991, when it was ranked 119th most popular name. 0.13% of all female births in the US (or 2649 births), had the name of Ana. My middle name, Reed. My mom always liked the name Reed, and was the college,
My surname is alexander. This is an amazing name to have. It is latinized from the Greek name Alexandros Which means “ meant to defend, to defend , to help”. In Greek mythology Alexander is another name for the hero Paris. The name has been used by kings in Scotland, Poland, and 8 popes. The most famous Alexander is , Alexander the great. He was king of Macedon in 4th century b.c. He built a huge empire out of Greece, Egypt, Persia, Paris and parts of India. The origin of this name is English, Dutch, Ancient Greece, and German.
Most people have a story about how their parents decided on their name, especially those of us who have less common ones. Mine is fairly dry; my parents looked through a book of names and decided that “Maizie” was charming and sweet and would fit me well. My sister’s story, however, is slightly more intriguing. Cleo Arden Seidl, born on August 3rd of 2001, was named by me, Maizie Regan Seidl, when I was just two years and nine months old.
To produce this book, I asked not “What you are going to name your baby?”, but rather “What is your name? How does it make you feel? Who named you? Why did they choose that name? Would you change
My name is Charlotte Emily Alexander, but I prefer to be called and identify as Emily. The meaning of my name really embodies who I am, Industrious, and since I’ve been called that all my life by my parents and siblings, it has grown on me like a flower. I’m the daughter of Beatrix Alexander and Ellis Alexander along with my three brothers and three sisters including myself. Such a huge family indeed ,but just imagine living in a one room apartment with one bed for all of us to sleep on, it’s not much but I am everyday grateful. Every blessed day I wish I can go back to my old school like my eldest siblings, but I am at the
A name is not just what you’re called, it is who you are. It is what you stand for and ultimately defines you as a person. Growing up, I used to think my name did not fit me and that nothing that my name stood for had anything to do with me. Now that I am older, I understand the real meaning of my name and how the traits that are connected with my name relate to the person that I have become and continue to develop into. My name represents who I am and who I plan to be.
My full name is Shakera Eucalita Holness. Everyone wants to know where their name came from, so of course I had to ask. My mother came up with my first name. One day she was walking around in a store and she heard someone calling the name “Shakira”. At that moment she thought “That’s it! That’s what I am going to name my daughter.” Of course my mom didn’t want to spell it the typical way. She gave my name the perfect little spin, spelling it with an “e” instead of an “I”.

My first name is Miriam. There are different was to write it, even though Miriam is the most common way, you can also write it like this Mirjam or even Miryam. I personally like my name and I never thought that there is another name that actually fits me and especially my personality so well. Every time I ask my parents why they choose that particular name, the answer is always the same “Because we wanted our kids to have names that are mentioned in the bible”. In the bible Miriam is Moses sister and supports him as much as she possibly can.
My full name is Casimira (Ca-si-me-ra), but I liked to be called Cassie. The reason I was named Casimira was because my grandma was also named Casimira. Originally my name was supposed to be Wendy, but I did not get that name instead my older sister was named Wendy. When I was younger everyone always had trouble pronouncing my name, especially when I started school. Through kindergarten and 1st grade everyone around me had problems pronouncing my name and I hated it! I did not like name when I was younger. In the middle of 1st grade I moved to Temple city and that’s where people started calling me Cassie, it made it easier foe everyone around me and especially my teachers. To this day I dread the frist day of school when I have to correct the
My complete name is Anna Maltempo Militello. I got my first name, Anna, from my grandmother, my father’s mom. In Sicily there was a tradition that the first born children get their names from the father’s parents and then the other children from the mother’s parents. In my Dad’s family there are six siblings, so six families, in each family I have a cousin named Anna, not so unique! I always liked my name, simple like me. On July 26 I get phone calls from my family in Italy, for it is St. Anna’s day, Mary’s mother in the Bible.
Like I mentioned earlier I was born on April 13, 2001. My name, Erica Janae, came from a christian baby book and it means ever-powerful gift from god. About a month after

They came up with names like James or Bryan, David etc. anyway my dad came up with my name Austin he liked this name. Well, I received my name surprising from Texas the city of Austin. Well, my mom liked it and they agreed on it. Well, I could have thought of many names, but I'm grateful Austin is my name.
My dad’s choice of Jewel, because at the time I was as precious as a jewel. My mother rounded off my middle name with a simple Ann, which stemmed from her middle name. Combined together they make a somewhat unique Jewel Ann. I think I still like my middle name, its different, I think that’s why I like it. The cherry on top of the name sundae is my last name
