“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” is a Disney productions classic. It was created in 1937 and was the first full-length animated film. This was a story about a wicked queen who raised step-daughter, the princess Snow White. One day the queen’s magic mirror told her the fairest of them all was Snow White and that made her very upset. The queen sent her huntsman out to murder Snow White. Although the huntsmen found Snow White, he could not bring himself to harm her. The huntsman instead told her to run far away since the queen was after her. Snow White found a cottage in the woods and believed orphan children lived there. She got wild animals to help her clean the house, and then she fell asleep. When she woke up she realized it wasn’t children living there, it was seven dwarf-size men. She begged the dwarfs to let her stay because the queen was after her, she agreed to clean for them. The next day the dwarfs went off to work, meanwhile the queen realized Snow White was still alive. She made a plan to kill her herself. The directors of this Disney film were William Cottrell, David Hand, Wilfred Jackson, Larry Morey, Perce Pearce, and Ben Sharpsteen (“Snow White”). Three of these directors worked on other Disney productions including Cottrell, Hand, and Sharpsteen. The team of writers for this film were Ted Sears, Richard Creedon, Otto Englander, Dick Rickard, Earl Hurd, Merrill De Maris, Dorothy Ann Blank, and Webb Smith.
