Anesthesiologist What is an Anesthesiologist? An Anesthesiologist is known for providing anesthesia for when patients are going into surgery. Anesthesiologist does not just administer anesthesia, but also monitor vital signs, decide if a patient needs surgery, and monitors patient’s history. Anesthesiologist has several responsibilities to do in their day to day life, have years of education, and go through other essential information. Administering anesthesia may seem easy to do, but being an anesthesiologist requires a lot of concentration and ability to work in stressful situations. In several careers, there might be little to no stress, but an Anesthesiologist must deal with elevated levels of stress, because of the frequent life and death situations. An Anesthesiologist usually rises early and finish late, not giving them much flexibility. Being an Anesthesiologist is a busy career; having to go from operation to operation, and having limited breaks may not be a career individuals would choose, but it has its beneficial aspects.
