Animal Rights
First I am going to start off by saying that there is a big problem in the world and it will make a lot of people think really hard about the next thing that they eat. Animal rights is a big thing to some people and nothing to some people but my writing is going to talk about both sides of this argument and tell my readers why animals should be treated just like humans. No one should have to go through being abused. Also going to talk about why I’m right about what I researched and how it really changed the way people view animal abuse. The topic of this is that people are not really doing anything about it. There are animals getting abused all around the world and people just seem like it doesn’t matter to them. The issue I am trying to get to all my readers is that animal abuse is a big problem in the world and people that don't have or abuse animals are not stopping it as much as they see it and know

Thats such a big problem because if we did not let people that have done a crime have animals a lot of animals wouldn't get abused, it could stop a lot of abuse maybe we need to make that a law and you have to pass to be able to own an animal. You can’t have a criminal record but where would all the animals go if they do not have a home? the shelters? They really are not safe for animals either, little do people know that animals have feelings to and they whimper and cry and they can end up getting depressed and die if they are being treated wrong and locked in a cages everyday and never get to come out. There are a lot of different things we could try to make these animals have a better living condition and not get abused. It’s pretty sad how much people don’t care about how many animals are suffering or being someones next meal, they don’t deserve
Animal Cruelty is a problem that many ignore. People are oblivious to these animals and the negligence their owners show. Animal cruelty is an underlying problem in today’s society, and the only way to counteract these problems, is for this generation to do something about it.
1. ATTENTION GETTER: Millions of animals are abused each year. Over a million of these animals are abused or killed just due to the involvement with domestic violence. Despite animal cruelty being a felony which can result in jail time for over 15 years and 500,000 dollars in fines, it is still an issue which occurs on a daily basis across the United States. It is important for these animals to not go unnoticed, which can be achieved if society became more enlightened and educated on the topic of animal cruelty. (Pacelle, 2011).
I’ve created a campaign for the North Shore Animal League and it will be based on animal rights. The goal I want my message to achieve is how it’s not acceptable for animals to be abused and abandoned. I’ve chosen animal rights as my issue because upon growing up in Brooklyn I’ve encountered many dogs who were abused by their owners and were able to get away with it which really upset me. A propaganda campaign is needed to raise public awareness for the animals that are abused and homeless in hopes of people having a heart and adopting them.
Every 60 seconds an animal is abused. Dogs, cats, horses, and many other types of animals are being neglected and tortured everyday, yet resulting in few and minor consequences for the perpetrators. Animal abuse is prevalent in the United States and has been an ongoing issue since the 1970's, and prior to. Society as a whole has chosen to avoid the facts and arguments about animal cruelty, because to some it is seen as acceptable and typical. It becomes much more frowned upon when people actually see the results of the cruelty, especially in the media.
There are many animals who deal with abuse everyday, and that is not okay. If an animal is neglected or abused the pet will be taken away and the caretaker will be charged $1,500. Animals are very loyal, such as dogs, dogs are one of the most loyal animals you can own. When abused, they don’t know where they went wrong. They only know that you are mad at them. Animals, such as humans, shouldn’t be abused or neglected. Most animals who are abused or neglected are usually abused unintentionally, but the second most are abused on purpose. The people who abuse animals on purpose sometimes deal with mental illnesses, were abused as children, or have a hard time dealing with stress or anger. Animals are just like humans who have been abused. They are usually skittish and shy. People tend to see animals differently than humans, but they are the same in my eyes. For example, if I locked you in my basement, starved, and beat you, I’d be charged with attempted murder and kidnapping. Pets have the same rights as you to live freely, but people don’t see it. You are able to live on your own and take care of yourself, but they
In america we talk about animal cruelty being wrong, but what are we really doing to stop it? Millions of animals all over the world are being abused and neglected for no reason. It can be as small as killing a mouse to beating your dog just because you’re just having a bad day. Nobody should have to go through this , especially an innocent animal that knows nothing. Even in america the rate of animals being abused is high. There is no excuse for someone to do this horrific crime , what are you really getting out of it? Animal Cruelty is a widespread issue across the world because people are neglecting animals, many may not realize what they are doing , and some believe it's actually okay to hurt them.
animal cruelty seems to be an ongoing problem in the U.S. And I feel animal cruelty laws need
It seems like nowadays nearly everyone in society knows something about the abuse. If not, abuse is a somatic or physiological form of harm. It also seems that more and more people are getting concerned about animal abuse, and promptly because of that, there are more foundations to help rescue animals, and nurture them back to health. However, animals around the globe are still not getting rescued and are getting abused. In order to be fully acquainted about animal abuse, the common types of animal abuse, and the causes of animal abuse must all be explored, as well as the ways to prohibit the occurrence of animal abuse. Animals have rights, those in which are being violated. Animals can not defend themselves, so America needs to defend animal
Seems rhetorical, but the fact is animals live through this everyday, without even given the choice. As humans, we establish our authority among all living beings, but for what reasons? Are humans better than all other species? Or is it true that we should hold a precedence over nonhuman animals? The ultimate question then remains, should animals have as much or equal to the same rights as humans? Their are endless arguments for and against this question, and many sub arguments that go hand in hand with each side. In this paper, I will discuss the definition of what animal rights entails and expand on the history that developed it’s meaning. Furthermore, I will thoroughly discuss, reason, and explain each opinion presented by our current society as well as the positions held by previous philosophers. Lastly, I will draw a conclusion to the opinions presented by discussing my personal position on the argument of animal rights.
The general public has a lack of understanding of animal hoarding. Many citizens do not realize that anyone can report abuse (Donaghey 2011). There are “…900 to 2,000 new cases [found] every year… with a quarter million animals falling victim” in the United States alone (Animal). If
The study of good and bad, right and wrong, moral principles or value held by a person or society, promoting human welfare, maximizing freedom minimizing pain and suffering is called ethics. The discipline that studies the moral relationship of human beings and also the value and moral status of the environment and its non-human contents is called environmental ethics. It considers the ethical relationship between the humans and the environment. Animal and animal rights are the highlighted topic in the environmental ethics.
Introduction: I remembered how throughout my life I respected and admired people that tried to help animals in need. I remembered how I felt when I saw first-hand the result of abuse. I remembered how I wanted to help those poor animals that were being treated so cruelly. And for all that I remembered, I decided that the Animal Welfare Institute (AWI) was the interest group I felt strongly for and chose to research.
In the United States, animals are abandoned, beaten, and fighting for their survival every day. Forced to live in unhygienic conditions with no water or food, they don't have very much hope as they live out their days lacking the empathy or consideration that they deserve. Some are discovered and rescued, given the opportunity to experience how magnificent their lives can be; others aren't so fortunate. In order to change as country, we must stick up for these mistreated animal's rights and seriously correct the mistakes of cold-hearted people who abuse them. It is up to us to stand up for these creatures who lack a voice, because who will if we do not?
Every single day all over the world animals are being abused, beaten, or being forced to struggle to survive out by themselves. What would you seriously do if you saw a homeless dog getting abused in front of you? Would you help or do nothing to stay out of the problem? Or imagen if you were the one being locked up in a small room waiting to get you skin torn off for other people to wear. See, doesn’t seem fun, does it. If you were an animal, you would be terrified of having your friends losing their life just for “the fun of it”. Animals and humans may share the same DNA, but we are all built and all function differently. Unfortunately, there are people from all ages and from all many places all over the world that abuses animals, but a high
For many years now the world has seen controversy over the rights of animals and if they think and feel like humans do. Many people see animals as mindless creatures or as food, while others think they have emotions and can feel pain. In other countries animal protection laws are in place that are strictly enforced and seem to work well with the system. In the United States however; some of the animal rights laws are considered to be useless and under-enforced (Animal Legal & Historical Center). More people today are beginning to see that animals should have rights and should be protected by laws and regulations (Animal Legal & Historical Center). Sadly there are many people residing in the United States who don’t take animal rights or protection laws seriously. These people abuse animals in many ways, including food industries that disobey the regulations set in place for the slaughter of animals used for consumption. Luckily for the animals there are people who fight for their rights and the enforcement of laws called animal rights activists.
