The Holocaust was a tragic event in history. It never should have happened, but it did, and the consequence of that was over 6,000,000 Jews and “inferior” people lost their lives. Those people who murdered the Jews seem evil in most people’s eyes, but not a young Jewish girl named Anne Frank. She said a quote that really amazes me. That quote was “In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart.” In spite of all of the tragic events and the terror that was going on with Jews and Nazis and all of the rest of the world, she still sees, somehow, that everyone is good at heart, and not as evil as they seem to be. I agree with Anne, because of Miep, when she risked her life for the Franks, Van Danns, and Dussel to help them survive and hide in the Annex, even though she was Christian, not Jewish. Even though I still stick by my claim that people are good at heart, I can see how some people might disagree with me, based on Mr. Van Dann’s actions when he stole the food that needed to go to the children and the rest of the people, in order to survive. Even though there were many acts of kindness and love all throughout this book as we read it, there was one specific character that stood out the most, and convinced me to agree with Anne. That character was Miep when she risked her life for the JEws to help them live and hide in the Annex without the Nazis knowing. On page 4, this dialogue takes place: Mr. Frank: Forgive me… after all that you did for us -
I disagree with Anne Frank because some people are rude, mean, nasty, and just plain evil, and don’t care about anyone, but themselves. There are tons of sings to separate the good people from the cruel ones. Good people are kind and loving people. Cruel ones don’t even know what love is or feels like. There are many reasons, but here are a few. One, The Nazi Soldiers were responsible for the deaths of more than 5.9 million Jews. Through murder, starvation, illness and deadly diseases (“Remembering the Holocaust”). Two, According to the movie, all men and woman were forced away
The events recounted in Anne Frank’s Diary took place during World War 11. By 1933, the strongest party in Germany had gained ultimate power with Hitler under their command. Hitler was Germany’s dictator who spread his gospel of racial hatred through politics. While poverty and unemployment were at an all time high he launched a campaign of anti-Semitism. Hitler’s main target was the Jews, claiming that they were “racially inferior.” He developed an idea of a Master Aryan Race, the need to rid Germany of “inferior people”, such as Jews and Gypsies, and the need to expand Germany’s borders. In doing this, he caused many Jews to abandoned their homes and go into total isolation. The Frank family
“It's a wonder I haven't abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical. Yet I cling to them because I still believe in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.” (Anne Frank) Anne Frank was one of the many children who fell victim to the Holocaust during the World War II. Anne’s story is nothing short of a tragedy; she died at the early age of fifteen from Typhus while being held by the Nazi Regime, in the concentration camp Bergen-Belsen. Before dying, Anne and her family went into hiding and lived secretly in her father's office building in the Netherlands. While living in the “Annex,” a secret hiding place, she developed many interests such as reading and writing. Anne is famous because she is one of the best-known victims of the Holocaust, her story has been shared with millions in a publication of her diary, and through her writing’s she introduces many people to the massacre and its horror.
Anne Frank is a kind, positive, and caring person. She has stated that "In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart." She is kind to everyone after they are rude to her and call her many names. She takes most of the positives out of a negative situation. Also, she's just a caring person in general to everyone she meets. Anne Frank has risked so many things going into hiding in the secret annex but she always found the best in it. She's a hero and a role model to many people.
The Holocaust was one of the most tragic event in history when about six million Jews lost their lives to the Nazi. It was a very tragic and evil thing that the Nazi’s did. However, a Jewish girl, Anne Frank, said this: “In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart.” Through everything Anne and her family went through, she always saw the good in things. After reading the play about her diary, I would have to agree with Anne’s quote. One of the main reasons I am agreeing with Anne is the kind and selfless thing that she did for her family and the people in the Annex on Hanukkah. However, I can see why you might disagree with Anne and myself by Mr. Van Daan and his selfish and unkind actions.
Jews have perished because of their beliefs since the beginning of time but never have so many Jews been persecuted worldwide as they were in World War II. Anne Frank’s diary reaches a place within all of our hearts because it reminds us how easily the innocents can suffer. Sometimes we may choose to close our eyes or look the other way when unjustifiable things happen in our society and Anne’s tale reminds us that ignorance, in part, claimed her life. Sadly, her story is but one of many of those who died in the Holocaust and as with other Jews, her fate was determined by the country she lived in, her sex and her age.
What defines a human? Is it the compassion for others? Is it the feeling of having a conscience? It is this and many more. Anne Frank once said, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." Anne Frank was a young Jewish girl who lived during the Holocaust. An event called the Holocaust was a time period during World War II in Europe where Jewish people were persecuted and we're treated like lesser people. Despite these harsh conditions, Anne Frank still remained positive. A question that might arise from this is, why did Anne write this, how did she feel during this ordeal, what does the quote reveal about her character and what does the quote reveal about her views on life?
Don’t you hate it when your family and strangers treat you in a harsh way. Anne Frank was treated harshly by some people in the secret annex people would yell at her call her spoiled lazy and was always telling her what to do. But some people treated her nicely like Peter VanDaan and her dad in a way that made her feel loved by some people around her. Anne was a twelve year old girl when she was forced into hiding because she was a Jew in Nazi territory during WW2. Anne is treated by the people in the annex in many ways and that effects her character in such a way that changes her character.
Anne Frank was a young girl who lived during the holocaust who lived during Hitler’s reign in Amsterdam. Only one problem: She was Jewish. In July of 1942, Margot Frank was called to report to a concentration camp. The Franks were forced into hiding in an annex behind Mr. Frank’s business. The Franks, along with the Van Pels and Mr. Pfeffer, hid in the annex for about two years. During her time in hiding, Anne confided in a diary. In her diary, she wrote “Despite everything, I believe people are really good at heart.” I agree with Anne. In my opinion, everyone is good at heart; they just show it in different ways. People do what they think is right. Even though there is evil in the world, I believe that deep down, everyone is good at heart.
In the late 1930s and early 1940s the world experienced very traumatic events. Adolf Hitler comes to power in Germany. He banned all political parties, except the Nazis. Two of the families that were affected by his changes were the Franks and the Van Daans. Anne Frank was a member of the Frank family. Her family and the Van Daans experienced what was happening personally. During the time that she was forced to go into hiding, she kept a diary with her. The diary has become very important item for learning about the events that happened. Historical events are reflected in the play “The Diary of Anne Frank” by showing how what’s happening in the outside world affects the families that have had to go into hiding.
On July 6th, 1942 Anne Frank and her family went into hiding with the Van Daans due to unsafe conditions for Jewish people. The Natzi’s had invaded Holland, where they had recently moved. Many Jewish people lost their lives due to his. Despite all of this, Anne still thought and said, “In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart.” Throughout all the troubles and difficulties they went through, Anne could still see the good in everyone. After reading a play based on Anne’s diary, I agree with her. I agree with Anne because of Miep’s actions. Miep helped the people in hiding, even though she didn't have any obligation to. Not only that, but she also treated themt and used her personal food rations to do so. On the other hand, I can see why people would disagree with Anne and me due to Mr. Van Daan’s mean actions and dishonesty.
It was one of the many saddest events that occurred in the history of the world. In the following paragraphs you will be reading a summary or a “movie review”, what ever might call it, about Anne Frank. At the end of the review I will write about my opinion to the movie.
Anne Frank is the name of a girl. Not just any girl, a hero with two parents, who are the reason Anne was who she was. Her father, Otto Frank, was her role model. Anne looked up to him and listened to him. On the other hand, her mom, Edith Frank, was the bad cop, the parent that always ends up arguing with the child. Although Anne loves her mom and respects her, she doesn't always listen to her. Even with this common household system, Anne loves both parents and they love her. Anne's parents have different types of relationships with Anne, and affect her life differently.
Have you ever heard of the Holocaust? The Holocaust was a terrible time in history when Adolf Hitler was torturing many innocent Jews. He put them in concentration camps, but many tried to hid just like Anne Frank and her family. Anne Frank who was Jew, has a famous quote that says “In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart.” Even though throughout the “Diary of Anne Frank” we see that people are not always the best they could be, I agree with Anne and believe that everyone is still good at heart. One overall reason I chose that people are really good at heart are the acts of kindness Peter has throughout the book to Anne. However, I do know that there are two sides of an argument, I can see how some might
