swarming around cages filled with monsters, humans and other intelligent races such as elves, dwarves, demons, angels and such, were nobles wearing gaudy clothing. In the kingdom of Aquebis, it was the annual day slave market day, for all of the need for maids, butlers, guards and slaves that would be needed for the new and old nobles. amidst the hundreds and thousands of cages, in an unnoticed corner of low levelled merchandise, curled a little girl, giving it her best shot in trying to be unnoticed. shaking at every footstep that would get louder and be relieved at every that stopped or went away, scuttling to her feet was a rat, gently patting her big toe as if trying to calm her down. capable of such human acts, the rodent wasn't just
Kayla- The morning of April 19, 1775 , Britain’s General Gage would send out squadrons of British soldiers stationed in Boston .
1. I would put myself in the place of the man on the horse he looks like he could be the leader, so the leader.
1.) The ending did not surprise me; I think it may have if we hadn’t discussed it in class. I think I would have been very surprised and confused, if I hadn’t known the ending prior to reading it.
4. She went into the store and she didn’t find anything she wanted to buy.
As a child, I had grown up watching this movie with my family, so finally reading the book brought back a lot of memories for me. I knew a lot of the things that were going to happen in advance, but I still ended up being surprised by many parts. For example, one part I was surprised by was when the author talked about Inigo Montoya’s backstory on page 125. It thoroughly explained things like the scars on his face, his hatred for the man with 6 fingers on his right hand, and talked about the reason he wanted to avenge his father. Having Inigo’s background clearly explained made the battle between him and the 6 fingered man a lot more intriguing. Another part that surprised me was the amount of narration that Goldman provided on page 327.
ME) Paul now you have all of the necessary information to you along your journey. It will not be an overnight fix, However if you stay committed to steps we both agreed on you will be just fine.
Passage: “It was the meanest moment of eternity. A minute before she was just a scared human being fighting for its life. Now she was her sacrificing self with Tea Cake's head in her lap. She had wanted him to live so much and he was dead. No hour is ever eternity, but it has its right to weep. Janie held his head tightly to her breast and wept and thanked him wordlessly for giving her the chance for loving service. She had to hug him tight for soon he would be gone, and she had to tell him for the last time. Then the grief of outer darkness descended”(Hurston 184).
On page 51 the the second paragraph says "But he had to admit that on the days when Attean did not come the hours went by slowly." Attean didn't even like the lessons that Matt gave him. Although, Attean hated them he still went to Matts house. Therefore I believe that Attean only goes for company. Matt may feel the same way, maybe he feels lonely too. This is why I think that Matt feels like the hours go by slowly.
Once downstairs they all got settled in and Aries started up again, “Okay back to the whole Saturn thing, I think that its very important for us to discuss-” She was cut off by Pisces, “ITS SHELBY DAWSON!!” Aries looked over at the TV, “Hey Aries, you might want to check this out” Libra said hiring the TV. “In latest news there was a meteor shower last night, but this was not an ordinary meteor shower because the things falling from the sky were not meteors, but people, we’ll give you more on this when we come back.”. “You don’t think that they’re constellations, do you?” Virgo said worried. “Man I hope not, we already are so busy with Saturn’s attacks and all the other planets, the last thing we need is something else to worry about.” Aquarius
Before me loomed the old observatory which would be our home for the next year. Its walls were an expanse of red brick stacked on red brick, contrasting the two white front doors and the white domed tower. It sat atop Henrick Cliff with large fields sloping down from the front of the house. The tower could be seen rising from the back of the house, with the cliffs edge and sea beyond that. The observatory looked like a forgotten castle, waiting for the next rulers to occupy it.
Ela ran in front of the family and planted her sturdy body like a mountain between the hunters and the babies standing in a position of charge. With her ears backward, her long trunk swinging from side to side she aggressively trumpeted. Her small amber eyes filled with undaunted resolution. But the hunters weren't afraid of Ela, they rose their rifles ready to shoot her!
My old journal got taken away when I got locked up in this box. All I get is a bible. The bible looks like its been handed out before to others that have passed in this God forsaken rat hole… I can’t keep my sanity much longer. I’m losing it! All I get is a little pea size hole that gives off some light, if that. Most of the time it’s filled with mud. I have come to believe that the mud is from the vehicles moving outside. It splashes up onto the wall. Sometimes worms will inch their way in the hole and that’s the only meal that has any personal delight. The taste of some what warm meal…
Moving swiftly through the trees, Cobyn followed a mental map he had of the surrounding area. He and his family had traveled from the Marshlands before. It had been the place he had been born. The Unknown had driven them out though, leaving their city to burn. Cobyn's infant sister, Aleen. Aleen, had been lost that day, as had so many other Keddish people. The moon shone down from above, like a silver sun lighting his path. Creatures moved, fast and flitting through the trees as Cobyn walked, keeping a quick pace. He could hear the crunching of the leaves under his bare feet, and occasionally the moonlight would catch the hilt of the sword making it shine. Cobyn hurried. The armies would not clash for many days, having
I agreed, Michal raised the same question you have posited. However, I think I get it wrong them. To be fair is confusing to me as well. "ALL" doesn't make sense because we have 13 warehouses and approximately half captured in this report, therefore, the term "ALL" might be a bit dicing. Hang in there, I'm hoping to get back to you before the close of today with more definite answers. Thanks and sorry Michal
In my opinion, I do not feel that Paul would have been any happier if he was born rich. Throughout the story, Paul desires to be rich; however, he had too many other issues other than just being rich. Paul was not happy with himself, his family, his sexuality and the loss of his mother.
