I want to transfer to Elon for a variety of reasons. One reason being that when I toured the school about two years ago I loved it. I originally wanted to go to Elon last year, as it was my first choice for a school, and I got waitlisted. At that time I had already been accepted by SCAD which was my close second choice, and had offered me scholarship money, so I decided to go there instead of only maybe getting in for Elon. During my freshman year at SCAD though, I still thought about how much I liked Elon and how it would have probably been a better fit for me. Not only that but I also decided that a career in the arts was not right for me and that I would be happier at a more traditional college. And so I Decided against going back to SCAD
My reasons for wanting to transfer are mainly due to my unusual high school and college path. I began high school at the same time as my peers, but unlike them, I left after completing the 10th grade. My high school was unusual in that it ended in the 10th grade, and the graduating class was encouraged to attend one of the other high schools in the district or the local community college for the last two years. I didn’t feel as though those were the right options for me, as I felt as though I needed more than a high school and I wanted a more rigorous education than what I would find at either of those locations. Fortunately, I learned of Bard College at Simon’s Rock, a liberal arts college in Western Massachusetts which catered to those in
The Great Debate is about the weather or not to keep The Constitution. Which the Anti-Federalists didn’t want around anymore. But The Federalists had believed that somebody had to have some type of power to keep all states in control at once. But it had to be ratified by at least 9/13 states to become a legal. But each side had their own opinions on how the states should be handled.
When you see yourself living out your dream, the thought of what you're most passionate about pulls you in. Passions in one's life change based on what had affected that person. Dreams are defined to change. However, the benefits of these thoughts is that they belong to you and only you. Not one person's opinions matter but your own. Chris McCandless simply was living out his own ideal life, the way he wanted; not to the idea of his parents, his friends or of society. McCandless wanted to escape society and civilization which he felt was tying him down, while also trying to discover himself. McCandless is not by any means a wacko. He was simply defying society and its ideal expectation it holds upon us as a whole.
Pennies should not be made anymore. The penny costs more to make then they are worth. It’s not worth carrying around, it’s to bulky. The penny could round prices down.
My reasons for transferring are entirely academic. I have made many good friends at Rutgers, and I have studied with some wonderful professors. However, I am eager to gain a sophisticated understanding of Mathematics as well as Computer Science. An institution excellent in both Math and CS would be a better choice for me.
To begin, all of it goes back to the constitution. In article IV, there was a cause, called the fugitive slave clause, which ordered states to deliver up fugitives from labor when they are requested by slaveholders. This set the path of the country towards war.
On March 6, 1857 the U.S. Supreme Court rule against Dred Scott who was suing for federal citizenship. All nine justices agreed that African Americans who descended from slaves could not enjoy the political community established by the constitution or have the right to federal citizenship. Majority of the justices also agreed that the Missouri Compromise of 1820 which forbid slavery in the part of the Louisiana Purchase north of 36°30′ latitude was unconstitutional. Chief justice Taney stated that individual states may grant citizenship to African Americans but that did not extend their citizenship nationally under the provisions of the Constitution. Taney declared that Scott could not sue in the United States Courts since the courts were reserved
Argumentative Essay Liberal Arts The liberal arts have been a main study for people for many centuries. They have even become a main part of our lives with the humanities relating to religion and how we act. Even though they have been important and still are today, many people think that they should not be a part of college curricula. They think that instead of teaching the liberal arts, colleges should have more of a focus on more practical subjects, such finance and accounting.
There are a lot of candidates running for president; however the most important person is Bernie Sanders. Sexual thoughts pop in and out of most people’s mind, but especially teenagers, and there’s nothing they can do about it. It is normal for teenage boys and girls to experience this, more than ever when they are hitting puberty. The hormones in the body begin to act up and teenagers want to experience other things on their own. Males begin to grow pubic and facial hairs, and their voice starts to deepen, while girls’ breasts begin to develop and their body begins to take shape. Trump's views on people who are not rich, white, males have been troublesome since he first began running for the 2016 Presidential election. Amongst his many outrageous statements, he has called to defund healthcare for the lower class, openly shared his racist sentiments, and made multiple sexist comments including how he grabbed a woman "by the pussy." All of this has come to be expected of Trump's image as a scandalous, but successful, businessman, but as the President of the United States, Trump's actions and statements need to change.
