The Attack That Never Ended
September 11, 2001, the start of terrorism in The United States, and the end of innocence in our lives. Some of us are lucky to never know the fright of that horrid day. For others though, the events that transpired on September 11 will live on forever in their memory. Rachel Cross was working in her office when “patients would call… they were canceling their appointments for today.” At first, she thought nothing of it. Working at a dermatology clinic always meant patients would call to cancel for some random reason. But when more and more patients began to call, Rachel and her coworker became a little curious as to why. “They were canceling their appointment saying they didn’t want to go out because of

When Carol told one of her friends she would be flying to Italy on September 11, 2017, her friend said, “Oh my gosh, you don’t want to fly on that day.” Many people remember that day and still think about it now, “it just doesn’t leave us.” “That seemed to be the start of terrorism in The United States.” For Mike Cross, September 11 was a different story. He started out his day by going to work for Planning Systems Incorporated in Stephenville until he heard about “a plane that crashed into a tower, you didn’t know it was a terrorist attack.” Mike’s office had an irregular approach to the situation, nobody made a big deal about it. Nobody went home. “It seemed like a far off distant place of New York.” Before 9/11, “Terrorism wasn’t in the vocabulary.” After the attack, nothing went back to the way it was before. “Everything was looked through the lens of terrorism.” The trust between fellow men and coworkers was gone, lost in the past. “Everyone was viewed as suspicious… and
One of the the most terrible events that happened in the US was 9/11. 9/11 caused so many lives and injuries to many people. Many families have had to deal with the tragic losses that happened that day. There was many other things that led up to 9/11 that a lot of people may not know about. Many may not know but 9/11 was an inside job that has been planned for months and maybe years.
It’s crazy how something as small as someone’s beliefs can cause one of the biggest tragedies worldwide. All it took was more than a dozen terrorist, two planes, and a well thought out plan to create the catastrophe we call the 9/11 attack but they call a tremendous heroic event. This was simply an act of being at the right place at the wrong time. 9/11 could be seen all the way in space but was felt by the people in the smallest towns to enormous cities. Although the crashes on 9/11 happened in the amount 102 minutes the aftermath lasted about 99 days yet will never be forgotten among everyone everywhere. Those were truly 102 minutes that shook the world and for some it will never stop shaking.
Imagine turning on the TV one morning, and seeing two of the world's tallest towers being destroyed. That's what happened on September 11th 2001. 9/11, also known as the September 11th attacks, was where hijackers took over 4 planes and crashed them into the north and south world trade centers, and the pentagon. 9/11 left a lasting impact that was untouched by no one. Thousands of people died from these attacks, leaving scars in the hearts of people worldwide. New security procedures followed 9/11, along with stronger border protection. Moreover, more than a decade of war lasted with Afghanistan in the wake of 9/11.
September 11th, 2001 is a date that will be forever remembered by many. It was one of the most terrifying and horrendous days ever experienced in the United States. Just this one event impacted every American, as well as effected others all over the world in some type of traumatic way. Best known as, 9/11. It marked a time that changed society forever instantly.
On September 11, 2001, the terror attacks that struck upon the American people etched a wound so deep that will take years to repair. The whole world watched and mourned as 2,977 innocent lives were taken mercilessly away by the clutches of vile people. The group responsible for these attacks had malicious intent and animosity toward the people of the free world. They took their accumulated hatred and attacked the American people. The way the American people responded was not what the terrorist group had expected.Instead of cowering in fear from the attacks as presumed, the American people began to display more patriotism and exhibit a sense of unity. While 9/11 is a day we remember the innocent lives lost to terrorism and the new sense of togetherness it founded, it is also a day that birth the term Islamophobia and gave rise to mistaken-identity hate crimes.
September 11th, 2001 was a very traumatic time for the United States. On that day planes were hijacked and flown into the World Trade Center and caused the Twin Towers to collapse (“11 Facts”). Along with the Twin Towers collapsing, the Pentagon building in Washington, DC was hit with a plane and another plane crashed down near Shanksville, Pennsylvania (“11 Facts”). On United Flight 93, the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania, passengers became aware of the hijacking and tried to fight the hijackers to regain control of the plane (“11 Facts”). So many people were killed and within all those people, several of them were either police officers or fire fighters (“11
On September 11th 2001 at 8:45 am flight 11 out of Boston, Massachusetts crashed into the North tower and made the tower come crashing down to the ground.Thousands of people died, Hundreds of people got injurys, and some people are still sick from it today. I know one person that worked on Ground 0 doing demolition that recently passed away and it was, my cousin's father.
Throughout the years that have passed many changing have been going on, either good or bad depends how people take it. Since 9/11, there have been different profiling due to that fact. For example, Detention and questioning at airports, Investigation of Muslim charities, bullying at schools, and workplace discrimination.
9/11 drastically changed security protocols, made Americans question their safety and heightened our awareness of terrorist attacks. The terrorist attacks of 9/11 were very devastating for our country. Several terrorists part of Al Qaeda hijacked multiple commercial jets and crashed two into the world trade centers, one into the pentagon and one into a field in Shanksville, PA. “Some 3,000 persons died or were missing as a result of the most devastating terrorist episode in U.S. history.”
9/11 is probably one of the most devastating things to have happened during my lifetime. The attack on the twin towers caused so many Americans to lose their lives including the brave men and women who stepped up to help. I believe that this event brought Americans closer together as we stood together to help support the victims and their families. Because of this I believe that the people who were alive to witness the fall of the towers now are more patriotic in a way than the people who were born after and learned about it from the ones that were here to live through it.
On September 11, 2001, an Islamic terrorist group, known as Al-Queda, hijacked four American airplanes and attempted to crash them into important United States landmarks, such as the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and the White House. Unfortunately, the hijackers succeeded at The Pentagon and World Trade Center. Nearly three thousand people lost their lives because of these attacks. Sixteen years later, people still remember it as one of the most tragic events in US history. On this day, the most massive terrorist attack to ever happen on American soil occurred, yet the after effects of 9/11 are even larger; because of 9/11, the United States has developed safer air travel and immigration policies, but unfortunately, innocent Islamic people suffered and are still suffering from hate crimes.
On September 11th, 2001, a series of terrorist attacks overwhelmed the United States citizens in many forms. According to Villemez “After September 11, Americans lived in the shadow of terrorism which united in fear” (2011). The attack led to advanced technology, public depression and more security with more fear in our daily lives. The tragedy of nine-eleven exposed our generation and generations to come with constant fear and living with paranoia . The attacks were categorized on a whole new level. The events of September 11th by far has the largest amount of American lives loss on American soil caused by a foreign terrorist group called Al-Qaeda.
During The 9/11 tragedies many people know it was definitely one of the worst things that happened in the US. On any given workday, up to 50,000 employees worked in the World Trade Center twin towers and an additional 40,000 passed through the complex, and more than 400 casualties were police officers and fighters, and over 10,000 people were treated for injuries after the attack (“11 facts about 9/11”). Although it may seem as though many people lost their lives in this tragic event, we have
September 11, 2001 is a day many will not forget. This is one of the deadliest terrorist attacks on U.S. soil, in U.S. history. The Islamic extremists group, al Qaeda led by Osama bin Laden, had hijacked four planes two of which had crashed into World Trade Center, one in the Pentagon, and the other in an open field in Pennsylvania. These attacks left many people dead and the U.S. in a state of chaos. After September 11, 2001 many were affected by the lives loss, the stock market being closed for several days, wars began over seas, the Department of Homeland Security was created, airport security became more stringent, and families weren 't able to get financial aid.
The September 11, 2001 assault by the Al-Qaida fear based oppressors was an extraordinary test to the American government than whatever other catastrophe that had happened in the previous decades. The legislature was undermined to a degree that any conceivable future assaults that had been proposed by this psychological militant gathering must be managed before it could really be executed against the American nationals. Since the times of 9/11, the country has spent a revealed $635.9 billion on country security and has actualized many changes, methodologies and procedures to better set up our countries Security. The administration had couple of organizations that would have adapted to this fiasco before it happened yet from there on, it has moved towards taking care of this issue by building up a few foundations and activities including the U.S.A. Loyalist Act, the Homeland Security Act, the Department of Homeland Security, the National Incident Management System, Homeland Security Presidential Directives 5 and 8, and the Transportation Security Administration, all went for countering any planned assaults whether inside the nation or abroad. Their executions are at neighborhood level and state and government level.
