In the 19th century which is in the past, woman have been seen as lower than men. Men were superior to women. Women were not considered equal to men as they were required to stay home and care for their children. Women should had as much right to vote as men, but yet they do not. The 19th amendment gives women the right to vote which helped suffragists get closer to equality for men. During woman suffrage, women struggle for voting rights. Through the 19th century the right to vote had been given to more and more men-now is the time to include women. Women suffragists argue with reasons for suffrage. However, it took until 1920 before women could vote in all states. Women were feminine enough to elect the right candidate, but they would elect the wrong candidate.
