Aristotle 's Ethics On Self Realization And Naturalism

Aristotle’s ethics is built on self-realization and naturalism. Although they were based on self-realization, his ethics were farthest out of all ethics from self-interest. Aristotle’s views on the sciences rather were the driving force behind these ethics. This theory of ethics is known better today as the virtue of ethics. Virtue of ethics was a way to de-emphasis consequences along with rules, in order to emphasize the kind of person who is acting upon these rules. The goal of these ethics is not to see if the person is following the right rules but rather if they have a moral approach and expressing a good character while acting. All the ethics listed throughout this paper deal with living a moral, virtuous and a fully potential life.
In philosophy everything in nature has a purpose, therefore everything is directed toward the form of the good. This means in nature we can make our own choices and not just to respond to a stronger impulse. Saying this we are fully capable of developing our rationality’s or not. Aristotle said that “ we have the natural purpose to develop our rationality to a degree”, meaning we can make the upmost use out of our rationality in life, which leads us to realize of full potential.
According to Aristotle a good person is one who realizes they have fully functional potential. In order to do this one must be brought to full operation. For example if someone is afraid of something they shouldn’t be afraid of, they have not been brought to this
