Materials and Equipment:
2 oz Sweet Almond oil
2 drops Eucalyptus oil
1 drop Tea Tree oil
3 drops Peppermint oil
2 drops Lemon oil
Cotton Rounds
Ziploc plastic baggie
Lab Instructions: Make a therapeutic blend of Eos to help enhance my immunity to colds and coughs
Hypothesis: I hope that this blend will increase my immunity to colds and coughs.
Data:

Eucalyptus Oil: Eucalyptus oil is a good decongestant, especially when inhaled during coughs or a cold.
Contraindications: Do not take internally. Otherwise, eucalyptus is “non-toxic, non-irritating, and non-sensitizing”.
Lemon oil (citrus limon): Lemon oil helps in treating cold and flu symptoms. It “stimulates the production of white blood cells to fight off invading bacteria”. …show more content…

Do not use Lemon oil before exposure to the sun. Otherwise, lemon oil is “non-toxic, non-irritant”
Peppermint oil: Peppermint oil is good for colds and flu when the condition is accompanied with headaches and fever. It is useful in sinus infection, and in relieving cold symptoms.
Contraindications: Peppermint oil is non-toxic, non-irritant, and may occasionally be sensitizing”. Do not use on children’s faces.
Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil is antimicrobial and can be used to treat “bacteria, viruses, and fungi”. It is good treatment for coughs, bronchitis, and asthma.
Contraindications: “Tea tree oil is non-toxic, non-irritant, and possibly sensitizing to some individuals”. Store in dark glass bottles. Tea tree oil can be harmful when oxidized.
