The average nurse only makes $70,000 a year which is a very small amount compared to the millions professional athletes make in a year. Athletes are vastly overpaid compared to people who risk their lives every day to make the world a better place. Some think that athletes are overpaid. Others disagree saying that they need millions of dollars to get by after their sports career is over. Athletes get millions more than the average family every year and only play for a portion of their lives. Athletes make $2-5 million a year. The average family income is $54,000. This is a huge difference. LeBron James made $71 million one year. Firefighters and nurses, people who save lives, didn’t get paid that much. This is incredibly unfair to the people
