Augustus Jackson was born on April 16, 1808. He was a worker in the White House when he moved from his hometown in Philadelphia. In the 1820’s he was a teenager he became one of the top chefs. Then he quit and moved back to Philadelphia and he opened his own shop as a caterer and a confectioner. When working with ice cream he discovered that mixing rock salt and ice the salt will act as a neutral object that controls and lowers the temperature of the ingredients he used for his ice cream. When he made this discovery he started to sell it inin street vendors and in ice cream parlors. He found this out in 1834. Soon after the invention he was named the ‘the father of ice cream’. But Jackson wasn’t just born a general, he earned it. Since his parents died when he was very young, life was very rough for him. He was raised by his uncle, Cummins Jackson, a miller who lived near what is now known as Weston, West Virginia.
In 1801 Andrew Jackson was selected to be the commander of the Tennessee militia. His military experience helped him in the war of 1812, when he won against the creeks Indians at horseshoe bend. By winning that battle he had gained twenty million acres, which is the present day Georgia and Alabama. After what Andrew Jackson has done to his nation he was promoted to a major general. After a couple years he was named a national hero, because of his tremendous win against the British. When he had led five thousand soldiers to victory against seven thousand five hundred British, in New Orleans. After his success he received a gold medal. Also his troops had nicknamed him old hickory, because it was said that Andrew Jackson was “as tough as old hickory wood” (pg 1). In 1817 Jackson had his first Seminole war, and he captured the Pensacola, which is in Florida, then he went on to capture Spanish territory. By capturing that area he became the military governor of Florida, because he overthrew the previous governor, who was José Masot, who was secretly helping out the Indians in wars. So that title of being a governor of Florida, he had held for ten months.
After the revolutionary war, Jackson got a job as a lawyer and moved to Tennessee. He started a cotton plantation that he later named the Hermitage. In 1796 he also was Tennessee’s first member in the House of Representatives. In 1812, Jackson gained national fame that later on would help him become president

Howell Edmunds Jackson was a Senator from Tennessee; born in Paris, Henry County, Tenn., April 8, 1832. He is best known for his role in the Pollock Income Tax Decision of 1895. This Tax Decision was when a bill was passed as part of a general reduction in tariffs, although President Cleveland was no fan, letting it become enacted without his signature. Letting a bill become a law without the President’s signature was an enormous stand against the president and Howell Jackson was a part of this type of rebellion.

Thomas Jackson was born on January 21, 1824, in Clarksburg Virginia. Jackson's mother died during childbirth after delivering his sister (History). His sister and father died from typhoid fever in his younger years as a child. He grew up as an orphan and was raised by an uncle in the town of Jackson’s Mill. In 1842 Jackson enrolled at Westpoint University in New York. He was older than most of his peers and struggled academically (history). But, he worked hard enough to graduate in 1846. As soon as Jackson was out of college he left for the Mexican war. He started as a lieutenant with the 1st U.S.

During my screenplay workshop, I received a lot of helpful suggestions on my overall motivation of my characters. In my revision process, I tried to focus more on the overall motive for my two main characters. For example, I added the motivation for Jerry and Christopher to open an ice cream parlor. This helped with my revision of plot and main conflict because the two characters did not have enough money for the down-payment on the open space. As a result, they decide to rob a bank in order to get the money for the payment.
