On Monday October 29,2017 I woke up in Haverhill, Massachusetts at 7 in the morning, but that morning didn't feel like I was in Haverhill. I woke up in a daze,my mother on the other side of the door, “ Babez wake up it’s 7 now”. The daze could have been from the fact that I got an extra hour of sleep and I was too comfortable to get up, however it wasn't the first time I had slept in. While getting ready time seemed to be standing still, Completing my hair and makeup perfectly(...well to me) in under twenty minutes and I looked presentable, but I wasn't mentally there. Something was still off and I couldn't figure it out. Dismissing it I go downstairs to wait for my mom, we all know twenty minutes isn't enough for the majesty herself. I decided it would be a good idea to warm up the car and scarf down some waffles at the …show more content…
Trash cans were blown across the streets recklessly, branches were on the floor blocking almost every driveway and the leaves were piled on the cement as if it rained leaves instead of water. Was Haverhill okay? I asked my mom if she knew there was a storm last night she told me yes and, she was up all night because of it she assumed I slept in and was up all night too, I told her no. In the car my mom and I were talking about all of the bizarre traffic that was going on in Downtown Haverhill, of course we had no clue and it wasn't any of our business so the conversation just vanished. I went on my cell phone for the first time that day just to preoccupy myself I clicked Instagram. Nothing special happened although someone did post about how a powerline fell on top of their car, yikes. Continuing to scroll eventually I noticed we had no school.Feeling birdbrained my mom offers to buy me some breakfast from the Wicked Big Cafe, the all time best cafe in the city of Haverhill(...well to me). I got my usual but, the shop didn't have the same welcoming vibe as it always does and the food tasted
My day was going well. I devoured a big breakfast, my brother, for once, got out of the shower quick, and no major assignment was pending. Life was very, very good. Then life began to fall into oblivion. I saw on the board in the
I woke up the next morning not remembering what happened the day before. I forgot where I was, who I was with and why I was here. I got up from my new bed, went into the bathroom and took a shower. Immediately after I got out, I hear “Elizabeth get down here now!” being screamed from the kitchen. I had no idea why I was being screamed at so I quickly got dressed, brushed my long blonde hair that went down to my waist to avoid knots in my hair, and ran downstairs, not wanting to upset my new foster parents. Walking into the kitchen, I see everyone in the family eating at the table, assuming I was the last person
I woke up and rustled all my things together and jetted down stairs. I see my mom across the room eating her favorite cereal, Lucky Charms. I slugged around the kitchen still half-awake trying to find a bowl, cereal, and milk. Then I heard a whistle and realized she had my breakfast ready on the table. I sat across from her on the table. The scent of perfume hit my nose, it smelled fruity. Her hair was combed back into a sleek bun. She was wearing a formal white shirt and a black skirt and some heels. I slurped the last of the milk as she was almost out the door. I walked outside and ran to the car. I opened the door and got inside. It was 7:59 am.
We took a bag of food and water that can last us about a week,
“Noah, here take her!” standing on a 10 story high building, the lady throws me across. Noah catches me as we both tumble and roll on the roof’s concrete. As he gets up from our rough fall, which felt like we had been tackled by a 600 pound football player, he manages to lift me upon his back as I shake uncontrollably in fear.”Take her fa-” another bomb goes off in the destroyed city as the ashes began floating on us like snow on a winter day. “There’s another protection tunnel on 21 and Shepard’s street. There you will find a box of necessities that’ll last you for about a month and a half. And remember,if someone asks you to join you MUST say NO. Use the shuttle lock pad and the code to lock yourselves in it. It’ll hold all the oxygen you
The morning felt rather slow as if the world had stopped since the clock on the wall had been broken for a while. At this point I wanted to just sleep in. I spent my morning looking up articles on murders and information on the criminal justice system out of habit, after all I always spent my morning watching or the news of some sort. I had been looking up an article on USA today on a video based on the Raiders leaving the Bay area for Las Vegas and how the weather was nice today. Which I don’t figure is a big deal since I didn’t care much for sports. The morning was nothing special until I got a call.
I remember waking up early one morning with my dad saying "lets go get the stuff in the car" Then we got the stuff in the car and we drove off to Phoenix/Mesa airport.
“Beep, beep, beep,” my alarm clock went off at like five in the morning. That didn’t matter though, because today was the day I was going to Kansas City, Missouri for a few days, and we’d be going to Worlds of Fun first. I woke up when I realized today was the day. I woke my mom and sister up, and then started packing bags of clothes, toys, etc. My mom is always a bear in the morning, so she was grumpy for a little bit, and my sister was still that age where no matter what time of day it is, she’d always be hyper, which definitely wasn’t good for mom. “TURN YOUR CEILING LIGHT OFF,” she groaned at me, because she hates bright lights in the morning. I turned on my lamp instead, which wasn’t nearly as bright, but I was done
My day started off like a normal day, getting up at 6:00 in the morning slipping on my jeans and my plaid shirt and lacing up my boots then putting on my john deere hat then going out and feeding cows then coming back inside my old brick farm house around 7:00 in the morning. After I was done feeding the cows. I had noticed the cows were acting a little different than usually when I was feeding them. I said to myself “they only act like this when there is a big storm coming.” “I better go check the weather on the news.” “Well everything was normal up until now when I turned on my old television to watch the news.” There was a little red bar that popped up on my tv and it said “get to a safe area there is a hurricane that has been spotted.” “Uh-OH” “that's not good.”
I woke up on the 21st of October and started off my morning like any other: I ate breakfast, took my shower, got dressed and then I headed off to the bus. Little did I know that my day and the rest of my life was going to change in an hour’s time. The bus ride was like any other: quiet and dreary. I put in my headphones and turned on my spotify playlist while I was on the bus. The bus arrived
A usual morning started with my mom saying, “My little sun, get up! It’s time to do great things!” When I finally opened my eyes, I saw that beautiful face in the lights of the sun. A lady, who always entranced me with her beautiful smile and clear green eyes, was unusually nervous. I stood up from my bed, and the next thing I noticed was beautiful black uniform on my chair. Having an idea to what that uniform would lead, I decided to pretend there was nothing to worry about. My mom said she was going to make a breakfast for me, so she went out of my room. It seemed to be a usual morning, but everything was unusual. A few minutes later I decided that my breakfast must be 100% ready. Walking down stairs of our huge house, I saw my parents quietly
I woke up on my soft comfy bed tried as usual. Thinking it was a school day, I went to brush my teeth and got ready, but as I entered the kitchen I caught a glimpse of the time. “7:30! I overslept again!” I thought to myself. Though, I must've made a lot of noise because my mom came out of her room mad as ever.
I wake up with an ache in my side. “Uhh gym definitely didn’t go well” I say to myself. I get up, and go to breakfast. The smell of bacon wakes me up like a splash of cold water. My mom smiles at me, and I look at the newspaper my dad has. Something about a beast that killed 4 people, and a dog.
It was a nice monday morning Today is October 5, 2015 i woke up got ready and start doing my makeup. Before i woke up i heard a strange noise at the kitchen but i just ignored it so i just started hurrying up. Then, when i was eventually going to college my mom gave me a huge hug and was acting a little bit weird i knew she was up to something.
Monday, May 16th, graduation day. It’s 5:37 in the morning and I remember this cause I never wake up earlier than 8 unless I have to, but today I didn’t have to. It’s the day culminating twelve years of hard work and dedication into a three hour ceremony in which I will actually have to do something with my life other than a routine I believe I’ve perfected throughout these last four years. I roll over and pick up my phone, a dim light comes through a slit in my window shades just to remind me how early it actually is. I can’t fall back asleep so I decide to get out of bed. I sit up on my bed rubbing my eyes trying to make sense of the room around me, I may have lived here for 18 years but I can never find the cord to my ceiling light. I
