One things that keep me from being successful in college is time management. Time management is a big issue because I remember I never use my time wisely. I never get a change to give myself time where I can enjoy my life and have fun. Whenever school started I became a stressful person because I wouldn't stop thinking how I’m going to finish my work. I also thought of how I wasn't going to pass the class. It's a stressful season for me. I remember back from my sophomore years in high school, I never finish my work on time. I didn't spend to much time on studying because I was too busy doing other things rather than spend time doing my homework and studying. Yes, maybe I need to take break from doing my homework, but taking break can also
With America growing at the rate it is, it is very important to grow with it. College is the best way to prepare someone to be out in the workforce and survive. Going to college is not essential for success, but it will give someone the extra skills that will help them in their career and in life. College helps people get a good job, prepares them for adult life, and will help them make more money.
At the moment allot of people not only in the united states but in the world are indecisive about going to college. Some of them are scared of the hardwork and dedication that they would have to commit to but the money that they would have to pay. There are alot of people that didn't go to college and are very successful. Although teachers make it seem like its a requirement to go to college, it’s not, it’s the students decision. It is not gonna help the teachers out when people go to college.
Coming to college is a monumental thing for me and having the opportunity to go to the College of Design is equally as big and frightening. I am excited and ready to start the school year and to learn all that I can during my studio classes but I am worried about the time commitment it entails. I see this as a challenge though. A challenge I’m willing to go through. I would say this is my biggest concern about the College of Design but not my only one. I have seen examples of older student’s work and seen how they have improved tremendously and although that fills me with awe and ease, I still feel a sense of worry because it takes me a small amount of time to pick up new methods of learning.
One of the biggest stressors college students face is time management. As a non-traditional student, I would like to say that I have all my "ducks in a row," but unfortunately I do not. College students, especially grad students, are tasked with juggling a job, family, and school at the same time. This can definitely prove to be a major issue when trying to stay on top of your game. However, with proper time management skills, one can easily overcome this issue especially when they are like me and tend to
I have chosen to spend the next four years of my life in college simply because I want to have a steady job and be successful throughout the course of my life. By going to college I can refine my skills in the area of work in which I would like to pursue. College is a good experience because you can meet people from a large variety of places and cultures. You also learn life lessons about living under a roof where your parents aren’t there to do everything for you.
We are all making choices and decisions in everyday life however, good ones lead us on the right path while bad ones bring us to nowhere. However, my whole life the hardest decision I have ever made is getting into college. In my country, our education system is a bit different from other countries. First, we are mandatory to choose our major before getting into college. Second, we have two means to admit to a college. We take the first test which is named “qiyas“, and apply to schools in which we want to get into.
Growing up is optional for everyone out in the world. Going to college is a big choice to make for growing up. Everyone has that chance to make that big change in their life. Everyone does not make the choice for the ones who do will be the biggest challenge. College life will not be an easy road to follow up on. College can be a lot of hard work because independence, more work, new people.
It seems that today's day and age education is everything. From the time you enter elementary school they tell you “college is important,” and you are pressured about “what do you want to be when you grow up?” Entering high school it really hits home. There are college visits, applications, due dates, and many other college preps to do before you even graduate. Now, I have always been one to enjoy school and try to learn something new every day, but it became my only chance when I was medically discharged from the US Army almost a year ago.
I believe college is very important I interviewed my mom, she didn’t go to college and she says she wishes she did, “ I wanted to go but we didn’t have enough money”. I asked her why she thinks people need college and this is what she said, “You need college to be more successful and to be prepared for life and mentally.” Some people may not have gone to college for any reason but they probably wanted to go. College is also good and important because you meet new people and you make new friends, also you get closer to your family. One more reason is because you earn more money. You also get to grow as a person and mentally. But an even better thing is you have a bigger chance of always having a job and losing it and you have a bigger chance of changing the world maybe with a little or big thing you do.
Entering college can be overwhelming considering that most things have changed. Change is difficult as it can be a challenge to adapt to a new way of living. Going to college you most commonly move out of your home with your parents to live on your own. This can be hard owing to learn how to be independent. Meaning you need to most likely get a job as well as managing your classes and even finding time to socialize and make new friends. Such responsibility can make people feel vulnerable and so can lead to stress. The way that people react to stress is very different. Some people react to stress in a negative way by turning to alcohol, developing a habit of self-harm, and compulsive eating/shopping. To avoid going to college with no idea of what is to come I took the College/Life Success class to help me prepare
Successful college students ensure they know how to manage their time. Establish some priorities, make a list. Some things are not as essential as others. Some of these things can be delegate or moved to the side. Taking the time to develop a plan in order to avoid procrastination. Finding a way to identify the amount of time needed to study and complete course work lets you identify any way time could be misused and could cause delays in your study sessions.
Many students want to get a good grade and they want to achieve their goals. There are two ways of being a successful college student: Attitude and humility. Positive attitude leads to be a successful college student. When students are exhausted to study or to do too many homework, positive mind helps that students do not give up. Also, It can brings positive result. For example, 2 years ago, I was very depressed about American life because I knew nothing. However, I tried to think about positive ways that I can learn many things, and I can make friends from other countries. After that, I listened to lecture hardly, and I tried to put more effort into my study. Eventually, I got better grade and successfully adapted
I believe in success. I have goal, future, family and love. Each of these have such a unique way of expressing how I feel about all of them. These ideas are the plans I am thinking about doing and what have I already done. Success is a word that makes me feel good. It makes me feel accomplished and in a way almost done with everything, like high school.
I know that college will be challenging for me because of children, transportation and time management. First, transportation is difficult because I have to ride the HRT bus back and forth to school, and sometimes the bus never be on time .depends on where you live is how long you be on the bus. Therefore, transportation will be a big issue for me until I can afford a car. Next, having children is another challenge for me because I have to make sure my two children get off to school and daycare before I can even get on the bus to go to school. I have to take them to doctor appointments, school meeting, and other many appointments. I never know what is going to happen to my children while I am away. I have to be alert at all times. Finally,
3. Managing time can be quite stressful for anyone as busy as the modern day college student. Many students lose sleep or feel as if they just don’t have enough time to accomplish what they need to accomplish.
