During ancient times the greeks believed in Gods and Goddesses. The ancient Gods were just like people but they also were super human and had powers. What made them like humans were that they did fall in love with other Gods and people, they played tricks on each other, and did different unique things that made them like humans. What made them Gods were that they had powers and ruled above a cloud palace that was over Mount Olympus. While they ruled and lived there they also watched over the greek civilians below. Some of the Gods interfered with their lives and did things that interrupted them as well. Not all Gods were like that. They also helped with their life style, wars, and many other things that would help them through their life in general. The Gods were not always obedient. Many of them did unfaithful things to one another and humans as well. Zeus was one of the Gods that were unfaithful to his wife Hera. He would come down to earth and trick women turning into animals, or a human to get women to fall in love with him. Zeus was a king of all the other Gods. Zeus had lighting bolt powers and used them upon any other God that disobeyed him. Some Greek Heroes had relationship with the Gods. Greek civilians loved the stories told of these former figures and were amazed of what they have done. Perseus was a very heroic character and killed the Gorgon Medusa who had snakes for hair, and turned people into stone if they gazed in her eyes. Perseus used his shield as a mirror that reflected Medusa's face and in the reflection he saw her but did not turn into stone. Then he cut her head of with his sword. After that he went and saved a princess by the name of Andromeda from a sea serpent using Medusa's head and turning the monster into
