The question propose stated, do you think mining fracking sand would support the halakhah? Personally I don't think that the halakhah would support the idea of mining fracking sand. There are many dangers into mining, and the side effects that come with mining are very terrifying. However, there are also some benefits to mining fracking sand. I just don't think the benefits are worth the risk mining fracking sand proposes, and that's why I think the halakhah wouldn’t support the idea of mining fracking sand.
The first benefit to Mining fracking sand would be that it creates jobs. In order to properly mind we would need to create roads, add train tracks, and need people to actually do the mining. We would need to create roads because we just

The land needed to mine isn’t purchased by the city, or state, so there aren't any roads or train tracks that make these areas accessible. That would mean putting in roads would be very expensive. In a time where people are doing everything to get taxes lower, this project isn't needed. It would be a waste of time considering how harmful it would be to the environment, and we would take away someone's private property. People enjoy their land and don't always want to give it up. Land has some significant meaning to people, and they shouldn’t be forced to forgo the land because someone wants to mine. The halakhah supports not being selfish, but it does not support stealing someone's land. Paying higher taxes and loosing private property can put people into severe depression, and that's something the halakha does not support.
Overall, the morals of the Halakhah would not support the idea of mining fracking sand. The Halakhah wants everyone to do the right thing, and that clearly is not mining fracking sand. If we chose to mind fracking sand we would be taking away some citizens private property that they worked hard for, the mining would pollute our air and drinking water, and taxes would increase so miners could insert roads and train tracks for the miners to get to the location. These are the big reason why the halakhah would not support mining fracking sand, and to the best of my understanding this is the
For the past twenty to thirty years, hydraulic fracturing, more commonly known as fracking, has been the number one source of natural gas, oil, and energy in the United States. The process of fracking is that a well is built above the ground and then a drill digs several thousand feet deep into the ground to extract the oil and natural gas that is trapped inside of rock formations. Fracking is very controversial because of the cost of the process and the environmental “threats” that it poses. From methane emissions to earthquakes, fracking has been accused to be linked with several environmental issues. To prevent any environmental dangers, states place regulations and boundaries that energy companies have to follow in order to build a well and keep it up and running. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) also works with states to help regulate these wells. More importantly, fracking in the United States is very important and acts as a bridge to the future. While it may be argued that hydraulic fracturing is not beneficial to the economy and harmful to the environment, fracking in the United States should not be banned because fracking is not only imperative to the growth of jobs and the economy, but it also does not put the surrounding environment in danger.
The most obvious economic benefit of fracking is that it allows the U.S. to collect natural gas and oil from our own land, meaning that we do not have to import as much from other countries (Jackson, 2014). Reducing the amount of natural gas and oil
From an ethical lens, fracking has both advantages and disadvantages. It raises the question of what is more important; the oil or the water. Fracking provides jobs and oil leads to economic growth. From an ethical point of view, people need to know about any danger that they might face as a result of fracking (Schultz, P.
Although the process of Fracking seems reasonable because it is something we use in our daily lives for cooking food, heating homes, and amongst other things, the question remains whether it is an actual positive or negative to not only us (not even a question) but to the environment? When looking at the pro side one main reason would be the additional access to gas and oil fracking would give us since “many scientists believe we only had a few years left to use fossil fuels before they ran out” (2015). The second positive effect for us would be the lowering of taxes. With more accessibility to gas and oil it wouldn't be such a demand allowing gas for cooking to lower as well as petroleum for cars. Lastly, it can create a
Danny Vinik, a staff at new republic wrote “Fracking Is Good For American Consumers” he argues that fracking is good for the economy because it brought down the price of gas and saved a lot of money. Vinik cleverly argues his point that fracking saves a lot of money for the united states, he weakens his argument by using a lot of numbers and not calculating the damages caused by fracking. The outcome is an article that has all numbers but the numbers don 't outweigh the amount of damage caused by fracking.

Oil has been an important resource for life, and humans have been looking for places to extract it ever since its discovery. Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, is a method of extracting oil and gases by drilling deep underground. A water based mixture, consisting of millions of gallons of water, sand, and chemicals, is injected at high pressures, fracturing rocks and allowing these oils to be collected. Fracking has been documented in several California counties, ranging from urban cities, such as Los Angeles, to rural areas in Central Valley. The underlying question is whether fracking should continue, as it provides the state and country with vital resources, but poses a great threat to the environment.
Fracking is bad they need to find a better way to mine for oil without hurting anything or human.
Techniques of the way normal drilling is done it does not produce the same results as fracking does when getting oil and gas out of the Earth. Fracking is important in the states because we are looking for more unconventional oil and natural gas resources and by drilling at those type of sites is less helpful than fracking due to fracking maximizes the return on the investment. While fracking has very good production in gathering the resources need not all things are good about fracking.
Frack sites can break down and cause a bundle of problems. Communities with fracking have seen decline in property values, increases in crime, and losses in local tourism. When a community loses tourism and gains an increase in crime it may not be an area where a new company would want to settle, worsening the economy. Fracking is said to have caused earthquakes when a pipe ruptures. If a pipe ruptures it damage a fault line pushing one tectonic plate closer toward the earthquake point. If a storage tank for fracking breaks it may leak out into crops and streams and poison our ecosystem. If the fracking fluid does as much as decimates on of the species in the ecosystem, then it will put the whole ecosystem out of whack causing numerous problems.
The transition of power that is currently happening in American politics has brought an air of uncertainty, especially with regard to the environment. Specifically, an issue that has recently gained attention has been hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. In simple terms, fracking is a procedure where the ground is drilled with water and chemicals in order to obtain natural gas or oil. Fracking is the most important public health issue at this time because the change in power is bound to create more leniency on big business, especially those involved with gas and oil (Garber, 2017). The procedure has been controversial because on one end, people argue that fracking will make the United States energy self-dependent, will create jobs, and will be
Referring to fracking already gives a large and complex theme which exceeds simple the process that it requires, although this procedure has been used in America since 1940, it is not until now, when the hydraulic fracturing process has been refined and used more than ever. In the United States fracking, or the process of extracting oil and natural gas from unconventional sites where these fuels are trapped in rocks, has a lot to do with the economic side, since it is one of the most important things that is leading to the energy independence of the country, but there are a variety of drawbacks that take away the reliability of this method. With the issue of fracking, the environmental concerns should be analyzed and put first, regardless of
Five million gallons of water has gotten wasted to fill just one fracking well. All of that water when the frack is done becomes contaminated. (Is Fracking a Good Idea?) Once the frack is done a toxic pit is just left there. If the wells that were fracked are not cased properly that hazardous waste can leak into people’s drinking water, or the wells could burst. There are also other options for energy that are renewable unlike crude oil, coal, gas, oil shales, and tar shales. (History of Energy Use) Fracking is not good because it uses large quantities of water, the wells can only be fracked a few times, and it can contaminate water although it is an inexpensive alternative source of energy.
We could use plenty other sources, fracking gets oils, meant to burn, to get energy. We have plenty of other ways to get energy that if we put enough work into it we won't need fracking because we have all these other resources. We have wind, water, hydrogen, and sunlight, all these resources can be harvested to use for an energy source. Windmills, water turbines, hydrogen chambers, and solar panels are all ways we can harvest these renewable resources. We should use these resources because it is a cheaper, more efficient, and environmentally safe way to get power and energy. If there was a better way to get energy, it would be through these renewable resources. Fracking is an unneeded resource, we have plenty other energy sources, we don't
Fracking helps the economy with jobs. In Source C, it says “Significantly, more complicated and expensive methods like fracking, how now become attractive and profitable.” Even though it's a little bit more costly and a harder method to be used, the economy benefits from the profit they get using fracking. More than half of the oil and gas wells are drilled by using the fracking method. In source c it also states, “Over
