Thousands of people, ships, boats, and aircraft have gone missing without a trace while traveling over a triangle region in the south Atlantic ocean; this area has been titled the Bermuda Triangle. For hundreds of years scientists have studied and researched to find an explanation that can resolve the disappearances of all missing vessels but there just does not seem to be an explanation that fits all the criteria. Flight 19 was the first recorded unexplainable disappearance when the U.S. Navy sent five planes over this region and they disappeared without a single distress signal. After that, a rescue flight of fourteen crew members also disappeared while looking for them. The remains of Flight 19, and most other ships and aircraft, have not been spotted to date. Since then, this triangle of death has had a long and ongoing pattern of enigmatic disappearances. The U.S military officially denies that there is mystery associated with the Bermuda Triangle and attributes it just to coincidence; however, evidence proves these people are not just …show more content…
A compass relies on the forces of magnetic energy to give travelers a reliable and constant direction. In the Bermuda Triangle this is not the case. It is one of the only places on earth “where a compass points to true north rather than magnetic north” (Obringer). There is around a twenty degree variation between the two types of north which may seem like a small amount, however, it can throw a ship completely off course and confuse pilots making them unaware of which direction to follow (Obringer). For example, during Flight 19 one of the pilots reported compass problems and became lost quickly. Bruce Gernon also stated that his compass needle was spinning out of control during his traveling (Quesar 118). This could simply be the explanation for why the people lost at sea could not give exact reports of their
However, there are natural magnetic mineral deposits that interfere with compasses (Patil 2015). Compasses point to north because of the magnetic poles and if there are magnetic mineral deposits around you, the compass will point to the magnetic interference instead of the north. For example, in the Gobi desert there are natural magnetic mineral deposits which prevent the compass to point to the true north (Patil 2015). There are also places in the North and South poles where this haywire compass activity occurs (Patil, 2014). There is plenty of proven information on why this happens in the Bermuda
The Bermuda Triangle covers about 500,000 square miles of the south eastern tip of Florida and the Atlantic Ocean. This strange and mysterious patch in the ocean has caused more than 1000 ships and planes to disappear with no trace of evidence. No one quite knows what happens to these missing ships and planes or where they go but there’s hundreds of theories. Some of which are: Atlantis theory,
There's really no explanation for where the term bermuda comes from besides it being the name for a group of islands in the Atlantic. Triangle is part of the name because the area that covers the where the strange appearences happen is in the shape of a triangle.
One of the the survivors that i've found that have made it out alive out of the Bermuda Triangle is called, Cary Trantham she is one of the marvelous people who survived flying over the Bermuda. “I had an experience while flying my airplane alone in a corner of the area known as the Bermuda Triangle. It was a terrifying experience and I have no idea what caused the situation and I have no idea how much time was involved before I was able to get control of the airplane” Cary Trantham. This is how she described her experience flying over the mysterious Bermuda Triangle. Those who lived to tell about the bermuda triangle each said different reactions occurred during the experience. “ Clouds have “come out of nowhere” and caused compasses to spin and engine RPMs to drop off. Objects and luminous phenomena have sped past” Gian J.Quasar. These were some things someone experienced by one of the conductors. Some similar things that happened were that all of them had failures to reach themselves to anyone else , so there was no other contact available. This mean no radios, cell phones, not even the navigational system would work including any compass's of any sort.
The Bermuda Triangle is also commonly called The Devil’s Triangle. It has been called this for many years because of the many sudden disappearances of planes, ships, and people. The area of the Bermuda Triangle lies between Bermuda, Miami, San Juan, and Puerto Rico (Ratner, 2016,p.1). There are many legends and mysteries behind the story of the Bermuda Triangle. For many decades the Bermuda Triangle has been a source of paranormal activity and mysterious disappearances. Some of the most famous of these mysterious disappearances include Flight-19, Star Tiger and Star Ariel.
It was a huge US military owned aircraft which was one of the most successful models of all time. On the day that it disappeared it had 42 passengers aboard all naval officers and their families. It was only 400 miles from the coast inside the Bermuda Triangle when it just vanished becoming one of the most mysterious disappearances on my list. An investigation occurred that included the plane, weather and pilot capabilities but nothing was found that could answer why the plane had suddenly disappeared into thin air so to speak. The planes cargo had life rafts which if and when the plane crashed should have floated. The rafts would have been fairly noticeable and quite easy to find but they were never found as well as the rest of the plane or bodies. There was not even an SOS sent out.
2. Between 1945 and 1965 5 planes crashed and 10 ships sunk or disappeared in this area- Proven. Strange occurrences can happen outside of the Bermuda Triangle as well- Proven. To date, any plane that goes down in the triangle debris is never found- Proven. When in the triangle compasses stop working- Proven. Scientists believe that weather, topography, current, and methane gas can be reasons for these disappearances- Proven to be happenings but not for sure if the actual cause. Others who have made the journey through the Bermuda Triangle lose their memory
The points of the triangle are commonly recognised to be Bermuda, Miami in Florida and San Juan in Puerto Rico. Many attempts have been made to try to explain these mysterious happenings. The most plausible seem to be weather interference or simply errors made by the pilots or seamen. Another school of thought believes they are caught in between time dimensions, of which there is no way out. The victims were unfortunately affected by something that has proved to be inexplicable.
As some of you may know, the Bermuda Triangle is located in the Western Atlantic Ocean between Florida, Bermuda and Puerto Rico where a large number of ships and aircrafts that have mysteriously disappeared over time. Many of these disappearances have unexplained explanations as to why planes have still yet to be found. Other planes and boats have vanished from areas where the weather was not unusual. For an example, flight 19, 1945, one of the most mysterious disappearances that has happened within the Bermuda Triangle. People believe it’s supernatural events, and some people believe it’s just human mistakes, but in my opinion i believe it’s human error. Over the years, many ships and airplanes have disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle.
A baby kidnapped from his nursery, five planes disappear while doing a mock bombing run, Amelia Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan vanish during their flight around the world. What do these three mysteries have in common? Ever since these events occurred during the 1930s and 1940s they still manage to puzzle people today. The true killer of Charles Lindbergh Jr. is controversial and the wreckage from Flight 19 and Earhart’s plane have never been found. 1930s and 1940s, three mysteries that are still unsolved today are the kidnapping of Charles Lindbergh Jr. and the disappearances of Flight 19 and Amelia Earhart.
Starting off, the Bermuda Triangle shows to be located in a threatening zone of many strong environmental conditions that are too unstable for us to conduct ourselves in. One supporting confirmation by Sally Painter is," The Bermuda Triangle encompasses one of the deepest underwater trenches in the world. This is an important point to
Bermuda, Miami, and San Juan (Bermuda Triangle). These are the 3 locations that make up the “Devil's Triangle” also known as the Bermuda Triangle in the Atlantic ocean. In this area, many unexplained disappearances from military and commercial aircrafts, to large cargo ships and small yachts has many people and scientists wondering, is this supernatural phenomena? Forces of nature? Over-exaggerated stories? No one knows for sure. Many of these disappearances happened without warning, no mayday calls or signals of distress, and leaving no trace of existence or wreckage behind. These events involving the Bermuda Triangle can be linked to an extremely powerful electromagnetic field over the area.
Off the southern tip of Florida lies a phenomenon called the Bermuda Triangle. Ships, planes, and over one thousand lives were lost in the Triangle without a trace. Theories have been put forth, but still no universally accepted explanation exists for the mystery that surrounds the Bermuda Triangle.
You might know that the Bermuda Triangle is a legendary place where numerous disappearances have occurred, but how much do you really know about it? Some people don’t believe in such a place, but some do. Research has been conducted to try and figure out what could possibly be happening here, but with no hard evidence. The mysterious Bermuda Triangle may be more than just a myth though; the Bermuda triangle has a long history with disappearances, few people live through it to tell the tale, and possible theories have been made over the years; leaving scientists questioning this strange phenomenon.
The Bermuda triangle is a mythical geographic area. It is believed to extend from the tip of Florida to Bermuda and to Puerto Rico. Over 100 planes and ships have disappeared in the last century. There are many theories about what might cause the disappearances of theses ships and planes. Scientist have come to believe that the most possible theory has something to do with the climate change such as tsunamis, hurricanes or waterspouts. The other theory is that the compasses point to the True North and not the Magnetic North. There are other less likely theories but it depends on whether a person believes or not. There is also the theory that Atlantis might have sunk where the Bermuda
