Bias: Being tilted towards on side of thinking. We are all a little biased on one or more subjects. I don’t believe that bias has to do with race. Bias is to lean heavy on one side or another side of an argument. Webster’s Dictionary: a tendency to believe that some people, ideas, etc., are better than others that usually results in treating some people unfairly. Racism: The belief that one race is superior to another race of people. Racism occurs everyday in every society. Racism applies to both white people and minorities. Racism is unfounded and is not based on factual information. I believe that racism occurs because people fear anything that is different. Webster’s Dictionary: poor treatment of or violence against people because of their race I didn’t realize that racism had to do with the treatment of another race. I don’t believe that prejudice has to do with a race. Prejudice is also assuming something about a person or group with out facts to back up this belief. Webster’s Dictionary: an unfair feeling of dislike for a person or group because of race, sex, religion, etc. I did not know
