There are stories after stories of people that have been emotionally touched by this man. He is known to not even talk about himself in an interview, but be more interested in the reporter, and where they come from, their family and their personal walk with God. This illustration shows that when a person talks to Billy Graham he is actually asserting true self confidence even though he is not talking about himself. He has a motivation to convey his message to that person towards the end of the conversation, and he has the knowledge after he has found out about their background to share that message when he has found a common ground with them. He is a master of all traits that personify a leader and he can lead a person where he wants them to go without them even realizing it. Reverend Billy Graham has skills that were not only obtained though studying scripture and other books in his profession, but most importantly, through listening to others and gaining a certain knowledge and understanding of people. Atkinson (2014) believes effective leadership displays, “No person is less divine than another, and therefore no person is less than another” (p. 145). Throughout the bible, there are many people in scripture that God placed in leadership roles. Jesus, David, Moses, Paul, Peter, Abraham and many others are some of those leaders. There are core attributes discussed in the lecture that personally reflect my opinion of what an effective leader of Christ needs such as, a shared vision, model of the way, empowerment of others, challenge of the process, and encouragement of the heart.
The prompt of this assignment is to discuss, in detail, a person we consider to be a leader and explain how and why he or she is. The leader that I chose is Reverend Dr. Johnnie Mae Cooper. She is the leader of quite of few things. For example, she is the leader of several organizations, which consist of being the founder and overseer of her own church (St. Esther Temple Bible Church), various religious and spiritual conferences, workshops, bible study courses, as well as metaphysical classes. She’s the type of woman who will tell you exactly what the spirit of God says. I know because I have been witness to it and seen her work. She is the type of person who does not have much patience for those that are un-attentive; however, she pays close attention and dedicates herself to helping those who desire to help themselves.

A few years later, at age fourteen, Williams started preaching at the church while attending school. In fact, people started calling him “Boy-Wonder Preacher” mainly after his travel to New York City to preach at Lawson’s Refuge Church of Christ

Billy Graham was an evangelist that believed that to live in a “righteous country” it was necessary to start with the conversion of its individuals. He feared that people were becoming more attached to the pleasure of materialistic things such as money more than they were with God almighty. Eisenhower began to incorporate religion to strengthen the people faith during the cold war which was a time in which many feared being
Most importantly whatever you think of Osteen's theology, you can't deny his ability to connect to his followers. In a summary, Osteen did not plan to become a pastor but he did and he is good at it. Graham seemed to be able to balance the fine line between freedom of religion and the politics of the state. He partnered with Martin Luther King as a show of solidarity for civil rights, and he was sought after by Muhammad Ali and all the presidents from Eisenhower to Bush.
