The first part of the book of Zechariah is about different visions he had in which all the visions are prophesied by an angel and not by God. In the first visions he sees an angel and a man riding a horse in which God says that he is going to choose the city of Jerusalem again. In the second vision he sees four horns and four workmen. In the third he sees a man measuring Jerusalem because God is going to come and there will be glorious again. In the four visions he sees Joshua and Satan because God will come and forgive the sins of Jerusalem. In the fifth vision he sees and the lampstand and olive trees. In a seventh vision he sees a woman in a basket Finally, in the last vision he saw the horses that walked the earth.

I think this is an important lesson because when we do not hear what others are trying to tell us sometime we make different kinds of mistakes and the person, we did not hear is disappointed in us because he or she tried to help us. Also, this relates to me because when I was playing a tennis match and my coach was trying to tell how to play better so that I could improve my game and win, but I did not listen because I thought would not need his advice so I kept playing in the same way I was playing before his advice and I lost the game, that day my coach was really disappointed on me and I felt very bad because I should have listened to him.
The traditional author of the book is Zechariah, but scholars do not know who is the academic author of the book. Although the academics say that there are two authors who wrote Zechariah so they divide the book in first Zechariah and second Zechariah, because the two different parts of Zechariah show two different points of view in different topics. Also another theory says that second Zechariah uses resources of other books like Deuteronomy and
Luke was a medical doctor, a missionary, and evangelist, a historian, a researcher, and the writer of the third Gospel. The book of Luke was written in a formal literacy introduction noting his purpose in writing, his methodology, and the attempts others had made in such writing. Luke is the author of the book and it was written in AD 60 in Caesarea. According to Hindson and Elmer Luke’s purpose is to give “an orderly sequence” of the events about Christ’s birth, life, and sacrificial death followed by his resurrection and ascension back to heaven. The occasion calling for Luke to write his Gospel was that Theophilus, and other new believers like him, needed a clear account of the life and ministry of Jesus as an aid to confirm his faith
Like when I did track, I wanted to jump at a minimum eleven feet so, I had to practice every day before I could actually do it, but I never gave up. Because of that, I can now soar more than eleven feet. If I would’ve given up I probably would not have enjoyed the meets and I wasn't embarrassed about how much I could jump. It wasn't the best jump, but I was content with it. I could also apply this lesson to simple problems on a daily basis. Like, when a teacher asks you to do something, try to figure it out, and after a couple mistakes don’t just say I give up just ask for help. Now, I’m learning to apply this to everyday things. I also learned that I should just keep trying. I’ve experienced the truth. I’ve done this by applying it to everyday
They doubt though that the apostle Matthew wrote the book. Whoever the actual author was, he is identified as Jewish in origin, because his Gospel contains many references to Jewish Scripture, law, and ways of life. Although not clear, some authorities think it was Palestine, and others think is was another early Christian center, possibly the city of Antioch, where it was written.
Learning from these situations is very important. Even though this situation is about sports, it is easy
The story this quote has with my life is inspirational and helped me though a tough time. This year for volleyball I got dropped down a level of completion from the Freshman 1 team to the Freshman 2 team. This disappointed me because I had worked so hard all summer to get on high team. I talked to my coaches and asked them what I needed to improve on and if later on in the season I could possibly move up to the higher team. They explained to me what I needed to work on and told me I could move up if I worked hard. As the season
You must be asking yourself how does it teach the kids a lesson? It teaches them that they aren’t always going to think that they are the worlds about winning and it’s not about it it’s about learning lessons. If they never learn a lesson they won’t deal with losing very well. Losing is a good thing in life because you learn something from it they will learn a lesson. I know that losing is not a great feeling but you have to deal with it because you aren’t always going to win in life. This reminds me of a very important memory. My team and I were great players at volleyball we made it to the finals and it we had lost are first game and that brought us down to 2. When we were getting ready for are last game the team was so hyped up because it was a against a team we had beat before. As soon as we were on the court we were so scared for it and we got nerves. Our team was the first to first to serve and Erin was all ready and she served it and it didn’t go over the net. The other team got the ball and they served and they scored a point. So they leapt severing and they had scored about 3-4 points on us. In till we go the ball back and we were in the lead after we had scored about 10 points more than them. So then the game ended and we had lost by like 2 points. Yes we were didn’t like the feeling but it was something we had to deal with. So then our couch came in
Undeniably, I have learned that the very nature of prophecy had many functions; additionally, it was by no means purposed to open the future to pointless curiosities. On the contrary, prophesy had a much higher purpose, it was provide direction to the people; to show compassion, hope, reassurance; and to impart confidence and urgency in an era of trouble times, a period in which they were living. Over a span of 130- to 150-year period that began in about 620 B.C.E, which contained Jeremiah, Habakkuk, Ezekiel, Daniel, Haggai, Zechariah, and perhaps Obadiah and Zephaniah. Their lives and service predated and spanned the most violent age in man's history. History has demonstrated the ascent and decline of nations; as well, how they created a
Throughout the Bible, there are an abundance of customs one may come across which are typically exemplified through the stories within the books of the Bible. Judah and Tamar in Genesis 38 are a chief example of how stories are used to reiterate customs, such as marriage, in the Bible. Although some stories may appear to have strange placement, it is important to remember how much detail was put into every chapter and verse which shows that there is a reason each story is where it is.
Coaches will teach you things you may not like, but you must listen to reach your goal. Great coaches will teach you almost everything you need to know to be successful. “ A great coach tells you what you need to hear,
Zechariah: 1-5 the Lord will destroy the enemy of Israel. Those who are opposed to Israel are always opposed to God. Israel is considered the church, so that means God is opposed to those who are opposed to the church. God loves Israel the physical and spiritual Israel. God will always fight for her. When God stretches out His hand and shakes the nations, it is in the utmost wrath. The only time that the worldly people will serve the people of God, is when Jesus reigns as King, and His people as His subordinates. God had saved Israel from out of the fire of captivity in Babylon. Satan tries to remind God of the sins. Jesus paid
To me this is like a very wicked Bible and History book all in one. Just like the Christian Bible it tells the people that there is only one god. The manual goes back to the past on how a group of people come over to their land and took over, by raping virgins, shaving women's hair and so on. When you start reading its confusing but not only does it confusing it tries to make the reader angry by telling them the history, but also make them sick because it tells them to do what happened to them, and do it to others in a kind of Pledger known as "O Sister" In our Christian Bible it states "how the lord will forgive your sins" and "only fear him". In the manual it tells the reader to not fear his creator and Allah will also forgive you as long
As I matured, it became easier for me to learn and understand the points in which my coach was trying to get me to understand. As a young boy, most of the things that were said to me went in one ear and out the other because I was more focused on having fun. As I got older, I could better understand coach Cipilone’s lessons as well as taking on new ones from my middle school coach, and teachers. At this age I was more mature which helped me to listen and understand what my coach was saying. My middle school coach was also my health and gym teacher. This was great because he was able to take what he was teaching me on the field as a player to the classroom as student. I always look at sports as a fun activity so I did not want to learn while I was out there playing. I think it was easier to absorb information in the classroom as a student.
One of the first questions people ask about a book is who wrote it. That question is usually answered very quickly as the author identifies himself early on. That is not the case with Zephaniah. The topic of who wrote the book of Zephaniah is a very discussed topic among Bible scholars. Recent scholars have been agreeing that Zephaniah is a speaking voice, meaning they believe he is the implied author, but not necessarily the actual author. Many people argue that because he is mentioned in the superscription, that makes him the author. There are a few other explanations though. Zephaniah could have prophesied the general contents of the book, but a later editor rephrased the words. It is also possible that Zephaniah is just a fictive author or speaking voice. The scholars recently have been agreeing that it seems that Zephaniah is just the speaking voice. The reason that Zephaniah is being called a fictive author is because it lines up with the literary approach. The world may never know who wrote the book of Zephaniah (Berlin, A.,
Zephaniah was born and raised in Birmingham a small town in England. Zephaniah wasn’t well educated as a young boy, he finished school at thirteen and could barely read and write. He calls his work “street politics” this was an influence from his Jamaican background as well as black Caribbean tradition. His first public performance was in a local English church and only at 10 years of age. Later on in his life at fifteen year old he had developed a strong following in his home town and this is how his reputation grew as a young poet who was capable of introducing major problems in society. He received a criminal record with the police as a young man and served a prison sentence for burglary at the age of fifteen. Later on in his life he matured to like poetry.
The author of the book is Zechariah, he whom the lord remembers. The book was written to the Jews in Jerusalem that had returned from their captivity in Babylon. The book was written in and around 520 B.C.
