Training your dog is the most important part of canine companionship. A happy dog is one who has structure and boundaries. Dogs are pack animals, and as such, they need guidance in the behavior that you expect from them. If you don't follow through in this leadership role, then the dog will naturally feel as if it is his place to do so. A dog that understands that you are the leader will naturally be easier to train.

I’ve worked with Katherine from hands full dog training with Jade on two different occasions now. The first time session we discussed that her body handling issues, and resource guarding of food and toys, was really what we needed their help with Jade on. Jade didn’t seem to have any issues warming up to either Katherine or the other lady that came with her. Katherine noticed pretty quickly that Jade does in fact have some body handling issues, though it seemed that she tensed up more with the fast movement touches. She worked with her on this by giving her treats after every fast movement/touch, that way she learns to associates treats/awards when she allows the touch.
