This is of course very important! This is a big issue and you should accept NOT just yourself but others around you for who they are. We are “Born This Way” unique from every other individual and that we should be accepting of not only other people and yourself, but of the differences within oneself. I feel it is important to stress the acceptance of differences within every individual, not only the ones listed above but any differences that somebody may have that is unique or completely unfamiliar from you. It’s not always an easy task to stress the acceptance of differences of one another and will always be a hard task at hand to be able to become familiar with that different individual. Without a doubt it is important to stress the acceptance …show more content…
Kids make fun of other kids for the smallest of things that differ from them, such as making fun of a little boy/girl who loves a certain thing like a different cartoon from them or like mythical creatures or even kids who do not or do eat school lunches or bring something from home as well as dumb things like backpacks, clothes, even their favorite color and lastly who they like. These are the small things, growing up I never ever seen an African American until I moved to another town and then the year after that one boy moved their joining our football team. This was very different for me and …show more content…
That girl and us gradually over time become part of our group and became amazing to have her around. 14 years later she was one of the most beautiful and probably the most beautiful of all the graduating class who got married to one of the guys who was rude to her and judging and later accepting of her even though the bracers were
Surviving a rock fall, running from a whole country or abandoned on the mountains of Afghanistan. These are just some things that show a born survivor. But what takes a person to survive is bravery, intelligence, and confidence.
There are bountiful reasons as of why and 62.5% out of 24 responses made by the 8th grade students say that it usually happens because of the different backgrounds. Back in the year of 2012-2013, a student of Robert Frost Elementary School attested the minute she tiptoed into the new school, kids would start playing and toying with her simply because she came from a different country. She couldn’t find any friends because everyone always found a way to judge her even though she did nothing wrong. The 4th grader later changed herself and did whatever silly and senseless ideas these children did just to fit
Nature vs. nurture has been an on going argument since the dawn of time. Many people have different opinions on which is greater but here is the one that seems most convincing. Nurture is more important than nature because it's more influential and it's more deliberate.
Does nature or nurturing shape a person? Nature means your genetics which determine your physical traits like hair color and I.Q. Nurturing is how your life shapes you, like where you live, or where you travel. I think that nurturing plays a bigger part in shaping us because our experiences and family help to develop us into the person we become when we are fully grown up.
Attributing gender differences to nature or nurture is too simplistic. Simon Baron Cohen, professor of developmental psychopathology at the University of Cambridge, says “those who argue that gender difference is attributed to nurture are oversimplifying the interaction of biology and experience” (University of Cambridge, 2012). What does nature versus nurture mean in regards to gender differences? Those who believe gender differences are biological and inherent in the makeup of a male brain versus a female brain attribute it to nature. Those who believe nurture explains gender differences in males and females believe it is due to cultural stereotypes, and the family environment the child is raised in. I believe that both nature and nurture
Have you ever wondered “Why does she act like this?” Well, nature and nurture can help with that. Nature is what makes up who you are in the future. It takes all of the things from the past and ties them together to make who you are now. It changes in what you see, hear, think, and do. Everyone has something in common. Nurture is great just like nature, but it has some things that are different. Nature is how a child is raised by society and friends. It changes how you act, look, and feel about yourself. Things that happen in your childhood affect how you are now. Out in town could affect how you feel about things. Nature and nurture are both important to everyone. They both affect how you learn and grow. Everything has a
Nature is everything that happens to a child before birth, including things such as size. Most natural effects are from birth parents, like eye color, hair color, or some habits. In my case, my eyes are hazel, a mix of green and brown or change from the pupil, brown to green. Nature definitely favors twins such as Anais and Sam. They were twin girls born to the same mother but were separated at birth. Anais was in France when Sam was in America. Yet despite not seeing each other for nearly twenty-two years, they had the same laugh and even close to the same jobs. That’s crazy!
Nature or Nurture? It is a very difficult question to answer, because some people think people born the way they will act later in life. Others think it is the environment and who they live with is what affects they way they behave later. So is it genes or environment?
Yet even while I stood there in the bathroom with a shattered glass in my hand, and Vincent and my secretary, Tully, were pounding on the door, I knew I couldn't solve anything by running away - and that's what killing yourself is'.
Do you ever ponder about how and why your family came to America? Most of the material I’m about to talk about is history of my family.
When I attended Lander University I was once asked before “nature or nurture”. At the time I had no clue, from a psychology prospective what nature or nurture meant. I also had the habit of being indecisive, so I answered back with a simple “I don’t Know.” Now that I am actually taking psychology I get an understanding why the topic is so important, and why it is so hard to be on one side of the matter. In my paper I will give definition nature verse nurture, examples of nature verse nurture, and also which one impacted my life the most.
This topic is really interesting and I have found myself asking a lot of questions about myself. I feel like traits like height, weight, skin color, and physical appearance are majorly affected by of nature. Most these traits are received from our parents or ancestors. From the above traits we listed some of them can be affected by nurture as well. For instance weight can be affected by the types of food we are consuming and the amount of exercise we are doing in daily basis. However, things like being out going, friendly, and being shay are more can be defined by nurture. i think we can be friendly if we grew up with the family which are all friendly and outgoing. When a kid grew up with a parents who doesn’t communicate that much, he tend
What makes a person who they are? Some would say nature is everything, you can't change it because you were born that way. Some believe no matter what is in your DNA it is all how and in what environment you were raised. I like to believe it’s mostly nurture. Well it has been tested and proven that both have effects on us mentally and physically. In the video “The Responsive Brain” (2001) they ran test to show how humans and animals alike respond to being removed from their mother. They concluded that without the nurture of mothers these children had stunted growth, psychosocial dwarfism, it’s caused by extreme emotional deprivation or stress. These babies, human or animals, reacting so strongly to not having their mothers they stopped growing
Are we who we? Is it solely based on nature, nurture or do the two both play an intricate part in our make up. This is one of the oldest arguments in the history of psychology. Each side has interesting points that make it difficult to decide whether a person’s development is decided through DNA, or is it influenced through the environment in which they grow up. We do know that both nature and nurture play important roles in human development. It is a debate that will probably continue for centuries to come.
The children of today are, in many ways, different than back a few years ago. Children a few years back would always be fun going and not make enemies. Of course, you still had to be the popular one in school to not be left behind. That’s what I was before; the kid who got left behind. No one really knows why kids have to pick on one person to be harsh to. They just do what they feel is natural.
