Chapter fifteen of Multicultural Education is divided into three major sections. These three sections include recruitment and barriers, recruitment recommendations, and retention issues/difficulties. A large part of this chapter focuses on the underrepresentation of culturally diverse students in gifted and advance placement programs. When taking a look at gifted education programs, there is an extreme underrepresentation of African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Native Americans in these programs. Gifted education programs are a need not just a privilege and should not be used as a simple form of segregation between races or cultures.

With this in mind, the captivation of uniforms seems to have guided the school and the students in a positive
It’s no secret that Leaguetown High School’s students are statistically unhealthier than those of the average American high school. While recognizing this problem, I believe that the current proposal to limit food options and increase food prices in an effort to counteract this trend is completely the wrong way to solve it.

With the many financial scandals that have occurred in schools districts across the United States, it is imperative that proper accounting and auditing procedures are implemented to avoid the inappropriate use of educational funds. According to Guthrie, Hart, Ray, Candoli, and Hack (2008), financial accounting and auditing data are important components of the lifeblood of the school organization p.247. Therefore, without its existence, the school organization will not be able to survive financially because appropriate data is not maintained to balance statements and justify spending.

The sociologists at the school noted that life in the city tended to follow general patterns. The growth of the city of Chicago and the patterns that resulted from this were interpreted as ecological succession, as groups of immigrants replaced one another, and set up their lives based around the business district in the city. This constant movement of waves of people and communities was thought to have been a major factor in the spatial differentiation of the city at the time (Study, 2012). Ernest Burgess, a sociologist greatly associated with the Chicago school, created the concentric zone model in 1925 to describe this pattern of movement in the newly urbanised city.
