“Fahrenheit” is a book that has an amazing story to tell. It’s exciting, thrilling, jaw dropping, and a bit confusing. It has everything you need to suspense to drama to happy ending. You might think that the author was trying to hard but in fact he took a concept and made it his own, and showed and told a very interesting story. Not only did he show he has a very interesting imagination but he’s one hell of a writer, and the summary on the back of the book does it no justice at all. My only complaint is that the book wasn’t long enough. If you happened to decide to read this book I promise you, you’ll find yourself immersed in the story. All you attention will we focused on nothing but the story.to think that a society with people or rather
In my opinion I thought that this book was a very good book. In this chapter I will describe the setting, theme, plot and conflict etc. This book had a few different settings like
I have examined the book and my objections to it are these: It deals with a series of adventures of a very low grade of morality; it is couched in the language of a rough, ignorant dialect, and all through its pages there is a systematic use of bad grammar and an employment of rough, coarse, inelegant expressions. It is also very irreverent.
I did actually really like this book. I was not sure if I was going to enjoy it when the project was first assigned, but after reading for a while, I became really interested
I think that this work is a very well put together book. Even though In the earlier questions I make it sound like a ten on ten this book is not. I rate this book a 9/10 for the soul reason that it was on a very directed path and you could the events that were going to happen before they did by just reading the book. Even the twist that the author put in were not that book which made some of the book predictable and who really wants a book in which they know everything that is going to happen.
“Fahrenheit 451… the temperature at which paper burns” .Imagine a world where any and all books are burned, by the firemen, along with the houses they’re in because they are forbidden to be owned or read. Imagine a place where people are practically emotionless and don’t genuinely care for anyone other than themselves. Imagine a world, that ours might one day become. Although the dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury was based on fantasy more so than reality, our society is getting more and more similar to that of this written world everyday.
When I was younger every summer my father would take my siblings and I camping up at Green Peter reservoir. The campsites were free and we were pretty secluded from other campers. Every time we came back we started noticing the campsites were being left more and more trashed. I can remember one year before we could even set up camp, we each needed to fill up one tall kitchen trash bag. People prior to us had left a few full bags of trash, so naturally some animal had gotten into it and scattered it everywhere. Trying to go back to these same campsite now, not a single one is open. Due to the large amount of trash and general lack of care to the campsites. The government had no other option than shut them down.
I couldn’t enjoy the book because I found the characters flat and uninteresting. Many of them have no character development-- except for Montag, but his development doesn’t come from a great self
The setting of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is very important for us, as readers, because it adds to the meaning and understanding of the novel. The setting, word choice, and vivid imagery mold the novel in a way for the readers to see what is happening in a futuristic dystopian society. This setting gives the reader a sense of understanding for the regulations made by the authorities and why books were banned and burned. Having the central character’s feeling, or Montag’s feeling, also gives the reader an idea on how people of the dystopian society think and act. The vivid imagery that is found throughout Bradbury’s novel gives the setting more meaning and understanding by providing unique ideals or perspectives found in the futuristic society.
Fahrenheit’s main concept is censorship. There are tons of real life things that are similar to the censorship explained, but by far one of the most similar is North Korea’s censorship. Some reasons why North Korea and the book are very similar is. North Korea controls what it’s population hears, sees and knows. Everyone that lives in North Korea is the same and born alike. If someone rebels, they will be put in a camp or killed.
In the novel “firefighters” burn books to annihilate using the thought process. This explains the reason the book is called Fahrenheit 451, because 451 degrees was the temperature at which the books were all burned at. The novel is a social criticism to censorship in today's world. Finally, The novel really emphasizes Montag’s development in his stages of life, allows the reader to compare the lives of people today to Montag’s life.
The Novel was a compelling story to me and had a lot of valve in the book that i never knew a book could do. There was plenty of action plus the book never got boring and it was entertaining. This book made powerful characters that i never expected to have an impact on me, it was almost like a movie in my head when i was reading it. I will say that this book is a lesson for me because it teaches me that anything could happen so you can't predict but enjoy life as long as you
I thought this book was well written. It had a good plot with a couple twists and turns thrown in there. The plot of the story also held many different types of emotion. Therefore, it was sad at some points, happy and exciting, or even surprising at times in the story. I also thought that the book gave off a strong message/theme that applies to the real world. Next,
Fahrenheit 451 is about a man named Guy Montag struggling to do his job as a fireman. In the book, firemen are not what you think, they are required to burn all books. But, when Guy meets a girl that is in love with books he starts to re-think his career. Meeting that girl causes him to start stealing and hiding books. Guy becomes a fugitive and is running from the police in search of somewhere to read and learn about books.
I like the concept and plot of the book, but I don’t like the book itself. It’s extremely hard to follow the book because of the way the words are written and the flow of the words. While in a way, you must appreciate how well an author Mr. Bradbury was. The book was beautifully detailed.
The book was quite an interesting concept in retrospect but in action it was rather uninteresting and boring. This seems to be a book that was written in a very different environment to our own and now only serves as a book study in high schools.
