This story is about a dog named Buck he is originally from a small valley in the santa clara but he was kidnapped by the gardener and sold to a cruel man who thought him a new law “ club & fang” he lived by that for the rest of his time there then someone bought Buck and took him to a new place it was so cold and full of snow but he got used to it he meet some new dogs and then he really wanted to become leader so he soon killed spitz the leader of the sled dog team then buck became leader then someone else got the team some others died then someone else go the team but this time this team of people who got the team had no idea how to take care of the team or about the north soon killed the whole team and themselves by going on thin ice but Buck survive be cause john thornton saved Buck and took care of him then they found gold soon a pack of wolfs found buck and he went with them but he killed the leader to become leader . Throughout the journey of the trial, Jefferson and Grant became very close, and they both learned a lot from each other and the trial. Grant learns the lesson of being a man, because he develops feelings, and becomes humble.
In the beginning of the novel, Cole behaves cruelly when he becomes emotional. For example, Cole beats up Peter after Peter has told on Cole for breaking into a store. Another time, Cole hated the stare he was getting, he spit into the wind, were the wind would catch the saliva and carry it back to Edwin. The only reason to why Cole spit cause he hated the stare he was getting and he wanted the saliva to hit Edwin. Whenever, Cole was asked to eat the ingredient separately, he told Gravey it won’t taste good, but you mixed the food together it tastes good. Cole got really mad that he made the food going flying cause how he acted, once he is angry. Cole becomes very angry and he ends up acting very harsh.

With little food, no communication with the outside world, and dangers around every corner McCandless decides to try and survive. Possible character traits that McCandless had that caused him to make this decision are: thrill-seeker, overconfident, or he was just inspired and wanted to live poor instead of wealthy.

Buck learned to not get knocked down in a fight and he fought as mean and as fiercely as possible as the teeth of other dogs bit him and as he fought the fierce dogs he was being scored by the teeth by a pack of dogs, “His face and body were scored by the teeth of many dogs, and he fought as fiercely as ever and more shrewdly” (London 76). It shows how Buck learned to not get knock get knocked down in a fight. Buck has seen many dogs get knocked down in a fight and they die so after he seen all of that happen he hasn’t got knocked down in a fight.

Brown’s downfall is caused by his excessive pride.
