Candidate Escobar maintained good eye contact with his fire team while giving his order, but had a very flat tone with minimal inflection and used filler words throughout. He briefed a complete five paragraph order in enough detail to begin execution of the problem with only a minimal delay. SNC posted security effectively and checked on them once during the execution. Candidate Escobar started out clearly in charge, working through some issues with very quick decisions. As the problem progressed he continued to make timely decisions but they began to lack confidence. This caused his fire team to become uncertain in execution, sometimes asking questions about the soundness of the decision. SNC was unable to maintain his fire team’s momentum
Drug kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, a legend in Mexico through his dramatic prison escapes and years of staying just ahead of the law, arrived late Thursday in New York after his extradition to the United States.
There are some many political, economic, social issues that social workers and even families faces. In the Sanchez case, immigration laws plays a huge part in their family. There are members of the Sanchez family that are undocumented and could face deportation if caught. The family needs immigration resources that will assist them with the adoption of the grandson and with Roberto in their home. Emilia, which is the daughter of Hector and Celia, was born in the United States. However, she could be denied citizenship because of her drug problem. This will show “poor moral character” which is under the immigration law (New Directions in Social Work, n.d.). Also, the Sanchez family faces financial problems. Due to undocumented status of some of members, the Sanchez family cannot take advantage of the resources that may help them with their financial problems. Roberto, which is the undocumented nephew of Celia, was injured on the job and because of his status is unable to receive any financial assistance like worker’s compensation. This cause financial issues for the household. Social issues has also plaque this family. Emilia has had an abortion which is against the belief of the family. They are devout Catholics and do not believe in abortions. Vicki, which is the daughter of Celia and Hector, has been diagnosed autism. The family has not seek out resources for the daughter. I believe the family may be ashamed of her and is not
Andrew Sanchez was a college pitcher for California State University at Northridge (CSUN). During one of his competitions he was struck by a line drive of an aluminum bat. He filed a suit against the bat manufacturer and other organizations stating that the bat design of this specific bat posed a significant increase of inherent risk in the sport of baseball, specifically pitchers. However, prior to the start of the 1999 baseball season, Sanchez signed a disclaimer form recognizing that playing carried a risk of injury. The defendants motioned for a summary judgment proclaiming the primary statement of the risk and that the plaintiff would be unable to prove the exact cause of his injuries. The trials court eventually granted the summary judgment when it
Although the law can be challenged in some cases, there are still others that successfully support the law. In the case Luis v. United States, Sila Luis was indicted in the state of Florida on Medicare defrauding charges in the amount of $40 million dollars. This case came before the Supreme Court because the prosecutors of this case obtained a pretrial ordering to freeze her assets, “tainted” and legitimate (Root, 2016). They felt even the legitimate assets Luis had could be traced back to the crime at hand, and amounted to an estimated $15 million that could not be connected to any alleged activities (Root, 2016).
Candidate Carpenter briefed a good five paragraph order. SNC briefed a good initial plan prior to starting the execution phase of the problem. SNC posted security prior to briefing showing his ability to operate in a tactical environment, SNC checked in with security for the remainder of the problem. SNC initially sent two candidates on top of the wall to gain reconnaissance of the area beyond the wall. SNC quickly realized the problem with this and had himself assisted up on top of the wall in order for himself to assess the situation. SNC quickly made a decision on what to do next and has a candidate go down the other side of the wall. From there SNC was in constant communication with the candidate and assisted the candidate into position
This research paper is going to focus mainly in the process followed by Officer Bird during a traffic violation that led to the arrest of the suspect named Alejandro Quintana. The analysis of the two sides of the coin, the officer and the suspect taken into custody is of main interest in this case. There are a variety of steps to be followed prior to an arrest. The officer/investigator should be responsible for any action taken towards an individual who is about to or being processed. In the particular case of Alejandro Quintana, officer Bird executed the arrest of a suspect that clearly was suspicious utilizing probable cause and plain view search in order to arrest him and seize the evidence. Mr. Quintana’s Fourth Amendment right
Candidate Martinez began the SULE I evaluation with a standard five paragraph order. Although it was a standard brief, SNC failed to give an adequate mission and execution paragraphs. The statements were disjointed and confusing and were briefed without confidence. SNC was briefed that the mission was to get the map found at the weapons cache and brought back to MA2A IOT have S2 Intel look at it. Candidate Martinez was given the map and reminded that it was part of the mission and not to forget it. SNC started the execution without the map, ultimately failing the mission. During execution Candidate had little regard for the tactical situation as demonstrated with little to no communication for formations at danger areas or dispersion.
SNC conducted an incomplete 5 paragraph order which did not cover all of the information pertaining to the mission. For example, the mission was to locate, close with and destroy the enemy preventing them from setting up a hide sight. SNC did not cover the administration and logistics paragraph also; SNC failed to inform the fire team of the chow plan. SNC did not seem to understand the measure of his brief . During the brief SNC used an extended amount of time by repeating the situation multiple times causing confusion within the fire team. SNC did develop an initial plan prior to starting the execution; however SNC was not able to make adjustments to the initial plan. SNC ’s failure of future planning was evident during the enemy contact
The plaintiff can argue that Pacheco’s job as a pastor was to provide counseling and spiritual healing when members are experiencing trials and tribulations. Not to mention, based on his job description and his role in the church, she felt he was reaching out to her to provide spiritual support, guidance and words of encouragement. That unless the job description stated a specific work environment, expected hours of work and days, there is no way for them to state his action weren’t during work hours (SHRM, 2017). She can further add, that based on Society of Human resource and employment laws, a job description must accurately reflect what is required and how much of that individual’s time will be spent doing the duties listed on their job
Candidate Smith only briefed what she was briefed by the instructor, completely failing to brief either admin and logistics or command and signal. Candidate Smith then brought her candidates on the objective, where the three who were not on security stared at the objective and suggested ways to traverse it. At no point was a coherent plan to complete the mission proposed. Candidate Smith immediately sought the advice of her fellow candidates without proposing an initial plan or creating guidelines of any kind. Candidate Smith was the tallest candidate in her fire team, but she delegated reaching the beam to shorter candidates, a misuse of the physical attributes she had at her disposal. Candidate Smith also failed to notice that one side of the obstacle had more clearance to utilize the rope than the other until nine minutes had already passed. Failing to take into account basic mission limitations was a trend, as Candidate Smith also did not account for the use of the rope, or how many candidates would be required to move the 55 gallon drum. Ultimately, no candidate traversed the obstacle, the first step to solving this
Candidate Shuma delivered most of the elements of a five paragraph. He failed to brief the admin and logistics, command and signal paragraph, and did not brief an initial scheme of maneuver. As a result, he had to take some time during the execution to brief a plan to his fire team which delayed the start of the problem. During the execution, he failed to understand the mission and erroneously focused all his efforts in getting the ammo can across the bridge without him or his fire team also getting across. When a member of his fire team asked him if they needed to get over the obstacle too, SNC incorrectly said ‘no’ that it was only the ammo can and that they would be unable to cross due to there being a mine field. The fire team member pointed
SNC briefed an above average five paragraph order. SNC correctly plotted and calculated the azimuth and distance to his objective. All of SNC’s order was very detailed with important information pertaining to his mission. SNC was able to speak quickly and give a complete order. However, as he was being briefed by the evaluator, SNC asked permission if he could go in a certain route; the evaluator denied his request and told SNC to stay on mission. During the execution of his mission, SNC was clearly in charge. However, SNC seemed frustrated when he could not get the attention of his team leaders and would make an excessive amount of noise to gain their attention. As they were on the move, SNC gave the order to go in the opposite direction

Candidate Helman is a very confident individual. His brief was strong and instilled a sense of confidence in the other fire team members. SNC issued tasks to each member, though he did not post security at any time. Candidate Helman achieved the difficult balance of remaining calm while maintaining a sense of urgency among his team. SNC stayed focused on accomplishing the mission, even though his team got stuck at the beginning of the obstacle. This initially caused Candidate Helman to hesitate to make a decision. However, once the first fire team member reached the top of the first wall of the obstacle, SNC began to issue orders and give guidance in a very quick and effective manner. At this point, SNC drove his team ahead with a great
SNC completed the 5 paragraph order, ensuring the Orientation, Situation, Mission and Execution was specified. SNC covered the Administration and logistics but, failed to include the Command and Signal paragraph in which one of the fire team members had to remind him. SNC communicated the brief with confidence which was expressed by the tone of his voice. SNC struggled with inter-team communication during the execution of the mission causing the fire team to maneuver in the wrong direction. SNC failed to control his fire team and ensure they maintained a proper interval between the fire team members. SNC hesitated upon enemy contact which resulted in the fire team receiving a casualty. SNC focused more on the casualty causing the fire team
