The Life Expectancy Indicator is a statistical measure of how long a person may live, based on the year of their birth, their current age and other demographic factors including gender. The Life Expectancy Indicator from 2014 stated that Australians were expected to live to be approximately 82.5 years old. In comparison to America’s record high of 78.8, this is a huge difference in time. I believe that the expectancy of life in Australia is longer than most other counties due to the Environment Performance Index that was discussed above. This essay has outlined all the current positive aspects of Australian society, but we need to address the future and the sustainability of our environment for our grandchildren. The federal government is addressing this issue by introducing a carbon-trading scheme. This carbon trading scheme, where the tax on carbon producing goods and services go into a positive influence on the environment, for example planting trees. The Australian government is following leads by other countries in this circumstance.
However, agriculture is the central issue. While pesticides are being used to keep crops alive, a benefit to farmers, the natural ecosystem is not exactly experiencing the same effect; the ecosystem is being destroyed. An effective way agriculturists can improve on decreasing the amount of pesticides is to use continuous production, where it is reusing the fields, without wasting and hurting them.

This also affects many lives, for religion is one of the most important aspects of everyday life. The religion was made in the Byzantine empire when it spilt into two sides/religions in 1054.
The primary reason for the vast increase in life expectancy in developed countries in the 20th century is universal clean drinking water and very high level of public and personal hygiene. These two improvements account for probably 80%of the life expectancy. Overall life
According to the 2011 census, there were 548,370 Indigenous people living in Australia making up 2.5% of the Australian population. It is known that many health inequalities occur between the indigenous and non-indigenous population, with indigenous people being more likely to experience a reduced quality of life. The differences between the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the broader Australian population occur for a number of different reasons including differing levels of education, geographical location and genetics. Indigenous Australians have lower life expectancy than non-Indigenous Australians. In 2007 the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous life expectancy was 11.5 years for males and 9.7 years for females.

Economic Growth refers to a nation’s outputs of goods and services over time. It is measured in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which is a valuation of a country’s total production in a year. In 2007-08, Australia had a GDP growth rate of 3.7%. By 2012, this growth rate had dropped to 3.1% despite the 20 years of continual economic growth in Australia averaging 3.5% up until 2012.
