Although outpatients’ facilities may differ in dimension and in services, all should have clear general features, such as competence and cost-effectiveness, flexibility and expandability, cleanliness and public hygiene, openness, and a healing atmosphere. This facility is operational with a recently extended flat parking area with handicap assistance with a safety employee on duty. Some of the other features includes a smiling friendly face greeting and assisting patient with directions, call-ahead services with labs requests, new motorized beds in the pre-op testing quarter, and seven different registration locations to help accelerate the paperwork. Coming soon the center include two operational medical cubicles, whereas individuals can pre-register themselves or complete other actions such as paying or tracing his or her charges.
Set-up and workflow of my pharmacy is pretty good for patient centered care. Patient does not have to wait too long for their prescriptions to be filled. Patients can call for their refills via telephone or online, which makes their life easy as they don’t have bother coming in-person for refills. Patient profile shows all medication history as well as number of refills remaining. This makes it easy for pharmacist to know whether to refill a prescription or call doctor for refill request. After confirming to fill a prescription pharmacist runs claim through insurance and print label after claim is successful. All medication is arranged alphabetically on shelves, thus it is easy and quick to retrieve. Then after technician fills medication and then pharmacist checks it. This workflow is quite smooth and quick to process. Final check is done by pharmacist, who confirms right medication for right patient as well as the NDC dispensed, amount dispensed, direction for use, and day supply. All these steps of process take place on working table in sequential order, which helps to reduce errors in filling and have effective prescription filling. Once the prescription is filled pharmacist do all paper

My interest in the PGY1 Residency Program at Kaiser Permanente Orange County has been sparked by my attraction to the field of hospital pharmacy. More specifically, I am interested in an inpatient hospital pharmacy experience that the Kaiser Permanente provides. During summer 2017, I was an intern pharmacist at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, and I learned a lot about the pharmacist’s role in a hospital setting. After completing that rotation, I hoped I could learn more about the pharmacist’s role in a hospital setting. The reason I am more interested in residency program at Kaiser Permanente is many different kinds of experiences that Kaiser provides, such as Ambulatory Care, and Drug Use Management.
Currently, more responsibilities are being given to the pharmacy technician that were traditionally performed by pharmacists, such as clarifying prescriptions and entering orders. With these additional responsibilities for the pharmacy technician, this will allow the pharmacist to spend additional time with patients. However, with these additional responsibilities enables more opportunities for error. In 2008, a study was performed at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, a 178 bed acute care facility
Properly prepared audit documentation should provide 1) a basis for planning the audit, 2) a record of evidence collected and results of tests performed on the evidence, 3) a basis for determining the appropriate audit report and 4) a basis for review by supervisors of the work performed. Achievement of these four purposes aids the auditor in providing reasonable assurance that the audit was conducted in accordance with the auditing standards.
DISCUSSION: Kelli Brown (Interim Superintendent) and Nate Kamban (Transitional Assistant Superintendent) were present to discuss the union contract between The General Truck Drivers and Helper’s Union (Affiliated With The International Brotherhood of Teamsters) Local #92 and the Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Mr. Kamban said they felt it would be best practice to match the Teamsters contract with the OAPSE contract that was passed several weeks ago. Commissioner Abbuhl asked if the time line matched up as well. Ms. Brown said it did (3 years). Ms. Brown also said they tried to match up the language in the contracts. Ms. Brown felt the negotiations went very well and was successful. She said everyone came to the table

The article is, Evaluating the Impact of Medication Cabinets in Patient’s Rooms on a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit, and it is a study about the impact of medication cabinets in each patient’s room on the administration of medication. In the article it states, “Nurses spend 27% of their time on medication-related activities and over 73% of their time on nonmedication-related activities, and they are responsible for 26-38% of medication errors in hospitalized patients,” (Arinal, M. F., Cohn, T., & Avila-Quintana, C., 2014, pg. 77). From personal experience in the hospital, it is no surprise that nurses spend so much time on medication administration. A majority of the morning is spent gathering supplies and

?As a general rule, parents are not liable for the contracts entered into by their minor children? (Kubasek et al., 2016, p. 226). Cercel and Scurtu advised civil law regulates that there is "limited legal capacity of minors between 14 and 18 years of age" given the assumed insufficient psychological magnitude to exercise legal rights (Cercel, S., & Scurtu, S., 2015). Despite the fact that my son was turning 18 soon and irrespective of Marshall?s awareness to my son?s age, my son was only 17 and was not authorized to act on my behalf.
I am requesting permission to hire Ms. Phyllis Whitney-Ousley to an emergency hire contract for the Fall 2017 term. HLTH, HPER, and PHED faculty member, Ms. Cheryl Green, has gone on FMLA as of Monday, 08-21-17. Ms. Green’s leave is scheduled to last for essentially the balance of the Fall semester. This leaves a void of six classes which require staffing. The dearth of adjuncts available to teach in the day, when the lion’s share of the vacated classes is offered, does not permit me to staff the aforementioned sections with adjuncts. Additionally with the start of the semester being nigh, I will not have time to post a position and conduct a search.
Ms. Smith was referred to me as she states she is having problems dealing with the death of a loved one. I have shared with Ms. Smith that there are services available within our agency and I will get her referred today.
