Lifetime Values We have calculated a Lifetime Value projection of around $2,071.92. This number derives from the average length of time a Floridian boat owner keeps the same boat: 4 years. We then determined the amount of washes the average boat should be given in order to maintain top condition as a yearly total of 7. This comes out to the lifetime value of $3,080. 110 X 7 X 4 = 3,080 After taking out any costs of goods with our gross margin of 67.27%, we expect to make $2,071.92 from each customer throughout their boat ownership length. 3,080 X .6727 = 2,071.92 For all of the calculations above, we did not consider the number of boats each owner was likely to have in their life time, which would thus increase our lifetime value. Distribution Costs Distribution costs are costs that a business has in order to get their product or service into the hands of their intended customers. ModernJET holds a simple distribution cost of only requiring gas to get to our customers. We will be open a total of 63 hours a week, with travel time taken into overnight account. Each of our three locations: Miami, Tampa, and Cape Coral; equates to a total of 563.6 miles round trip. The F650 truck that we plan to use, has a 30 gallon tank with 12 miles per gallon. This totals to us needing to fill up our truck with gas about two times in full. Tampa has an average gas price of $2.40 and Miami has an average gas price of $2.36. We will also need to fill up the gas tank in Cape Coral which has an average cost of $2.30. If we multiply that out, this will total $143.1 for gas as we travel between each city every month. According to our research, it will cost approximately $70.80 to completely fill up the gas tank in our base city of Miami, Florida. After we travel 156.5 miles to Cape Coral Florida, we will spend $38.72 in order to replenish the gas that we lost in travels. Then, we will travel 132.5 miles to Tampa, Florida where we will need to spend $33.58 to replenish lost gas. Finally, we will travel 279.9 miles from Tampa to reach our home base of Miami once again. Human Resources Costs Due to the small business nature of ModernJET, we will require very few workers. We will
With the gas prices rising up every year, it seems like traveling by car is about the same price as flying. The big advantage over bus, car, and train is saving time which is huge to customers who cannot leave their job for a long period of time without being fired or replaced.
Altogether, it would cost $35.94 to transport three-hundred pounds of goods along the 676.8-mile track
The AHRQ organization has several portfolios’ that are funded and supports research projects. Such portfolios are information technology, health patient safety, prevention and care management, and value portfolios. Within these portfolio’s, grants are there to fund new projects that relate to each category. Within each portfolio, research has been started and effectiveness of these projects is underway. Some clinical research projects are a set of priority conditions of importance to the Medicaid, Medicare, and SCHIP programs. Projected initiatives are to improve quality of care. The Value portfolio finds ways to reduce unnecessary cost and waste while maintaining or improving quality without adding cost which is a critical, national need (2012, p.5).
The chart above shows a graphic comparison regarding the different gas prices at the two different Marathon locations. This graph shows a visual trend of each of the various gasoline prices. According to the data recorded, the gasoline prices at the Angola Marathon throughout the week were, on average, about fourteen cents more per gallon than at the Muncie Marathon. The prices of gasoline at the Muncie Marathon declined, on average, about four cents per gallon per day throughout the week. While the gas prices at the Muncie Marathon continuously decreased each day, the gas prices at the Angola Marathon varied each day. Within the first three days, the gas prices at the Angola Marathon decreased about two and a half cents each day, on average. On the last day data was recorded, the trend at the Angola Marathon was reversed, and the price of gas increased by one cent.

Presently, cost and quality in health care are both indicators that are benchmarked in determining best healthcare practice. Two organizations both work towards meeting these objectives in healthcare, The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), a public agency and the Commonwealth Fund, a private agency.
The Affordable Healthcare Act has opened up opportunities for many citizens across the United States. Since the bill passed in 2010, the United States Health Department has recorded “about 16.4 million uninsured people have gained health coverage” (2014). Now that many people have been granted the chance to receive a regular check-up from the doctor’s office or go to the emergency room to receive urgent care, there are not enough primary health care professionals to assist those who are in need. The shortage of health care professionals has become a rising problem in the United States. According to the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) over the next 10 years the United States is expected to have a shortage of primary care doctors
Everywhere around the nation redundant federal programs are leading to billions of dollars in waste, and the government somehow, is slow to adopt reforms to fix the situation. What would you do to keep the doughnuts in your church every Sunday? When the finance committee had to cut the church’s doughnuts, Monte Chamberlin had seen enough budget cuts to last a lifetime. When the committee adjourned, Monte set out to save the cherished Sunday morning doughnuts—which served as a time of fellowship, sharing and caring. What he found was a way to leverage a coalition of churches to buy 200,000 doughnuts annually and reduce the church’s total expenses. Because of a doughnut, Monte founded Cost Stewardship, a company that finds abandoned or unknown refunds available from government agencies and utility providers.
Adding the estimated 5 year cost of fuel, cost of maintenance, cost of repairs, and the loss of value (depreciation) of the vehicle gives us our estimated ownership costs for a vehicle after a 5 - year period.

Spokane Industries has contracted Franklin Electronics for an 18 month product development contract. Franklin Electronics is new to using project management methodologies and have not been exposed to earned value management methodologies. Even though Franklin and Spokane have worked together in the past, they have mainly used fixed price contracts with little to no stipulations. For this project Spokane Industries is requiring Franklin Electronics to use formalized project management methodologies, earned value cost schedules, and schedules for reports and meetings. Since Franklin Electronics had had no experience with earned value management, the cost accounting group was trained in the methodology in order to bid for the
