Why college Athletes should get paid. The NCAA is very strict on students getting any type of compensation and endorsement of any type. This rule has been challenged multiple times ,but the NCAA just ignores the idea of paying their college athletes. The universities that these students attend usually get a quarter billion dollars in endorsements and can’t be shared with students that are attending the school. This is saying that the NCAA is one of the top industries receiving money. Many students can’t afford rent, food or clothes due to schools limiting their funds with attending high end schools. The NCAA and the schools are making huge profits on the students jerseys and merchandise of the school. The schools are ranking up huge media attention and getting endorsements from it and the student athletes don’t get a cut from it. Many students see this and believe that they are being used for their talents and are sometimes discouraged to play. This also comes with a question that why should others keep benefiting from students performance while the student don’t get any of the revenue in return.

The second reason that these athletes should get paid is that when people watch the sport they don’t see the head of the organization shooting the ball or throwing the it. That's a really good reason on why these college athletes should a least be considered paid. Without the players their wouldn't be any sport it’ll be just the court and a ball. Many people go to the event to support the players in that team. Also many people buy merchandise for the stores with an athletes last name in the back. Many people think that they should at least get a percentage of what the school is getting on that sold
