Chapter One I had enough of all the bad things in my life. “Mikena, time to go to school.” My mom said. I grabbed my small, mint green backpack and I went out the front door. My dad was waiting outside. He gave me a kiss on the forehead. I felt like a princess at that moment. My dad went inside the car and I started walk to school. My dad is going to his workplace which is a restaurant. I arrived at my school in less than ten minutes. That’s a new record. I saw Alicia with her friends on the lawn of the school. She was laughing with her friends. Some of her friends shoved their dirty, little mouths into the hottest guys of the school. I felt very nauseous. Alicia is my worst enemy, but she’s very pretty like a princess. She is my …show more content…
Her eyes are so beautiful compared to my dull brown ones. Brad walked over to me. Brad gave me a doll that looks just like me. I hugged him. Brad is kind of my friend. We don’t talk that much. “Thank you.” I said. Brad smiled at. “Ok, ok. I’ll come to your house.” Alicia said, after Brad left. I jumped up and down in front of her. I stopped jumping and said,”You’re going to be my slave forever.” Alicia was scared. I had a huge smirk on my face. I made her scared. I finally let out the fire in me. I made some dolls for Alicia. I made the dolls look just like her, but each doll has a different outfit. I stroked Alicia’s arm and then I grabbed Alicia’s arm. “After school, you will go to my house. Your stuff is already at my house.” I said. I expected Alicia to be sad since she practically live in a palace or a mini castle. “Ok.” Alicia said. Alicia has the same first period class as me. Michael came up to Alicia. Michael is a jock and he loves beating me. “What are you doing with a slut like Mikena?” Michael said, venom in his voice and his eyes are wild. “Mikena is not a slut. She’s a princess.” Alicia said. I smiled. Michael walked away and the wildness never left away from his eyes. “You owe me.” Alicia whispered to me when Michael left. She pressed against my back and my ribs starting hurting from the beating yesterday. “Ok. I’ll make it up to you this one time.” I said. Alicia had a smile on her face. She looks so pretty. I traced the outline of her face. I
After a long ride, we saw our new home for the first time. It wasn’t luxurious, but to a couple of young children like us it was cool to live on the beach. The changes that lied ahead of us were great. There are many ways in which this new start changed my life. First, no longer did we live in fear. This enabled me to move on. I enrolled in eight grade that year. I felt like had a fresh start. No one knew my business. I could make myself whatever I wanted. My whole personality changed. That year I started at quarterback for junior high and from there everything started to look up. If I was to go into details of all the success I had it would be bragging, so I am just going to say I went from a casualty of a broken home to a respected and important part of High Island High School. In the five years I was there, I had more fun and a more productive life than all the other years put together.
“I’m sorry, Evelyn,” I sobbed, burying my face in my hands. Why? Why did I have to ruin this night? It was supposed to be a fun time, not filled with the stupid drama in my head. “I haven’t been completely honest with you about myself,” I began. Evelyn furrowed her brow in confusion. I hadn’t been very open to begin with, but over time, I had started to share more of my visions with her. “The thing is, even though it hasn’t been a long time – only two months, about – I have fallen in love with you.” The silence was an anvil on my chest, an iron grip on my throat, a rush of butterflies in my stomach.
In Chapter one: The Process of Writing covers many key concepts. These concepts include being aware of our subject, purpose, audience, genre, and length. Chapter one tells us that when writing we should be aware of our requirements. Requirements helps us get a better rundown on what is expected. This includes knowing what’s needed for the length, subject, deadline, etc. It states we should write more about our interests unless we’re given a specific subject. We should always try to narrow our subject to a question. By doing this helps us stay more organized when writing, it keeps us from getting off track. It states we should know our purpose when it comes to writing. If we know our purpose we’ll know what direction to take it in. We’ll know
Aldrick mutters as he slips the bullet into the cylinder, he always knew this day would come, but the fact they choose to strike the household at it weakest moment infuriates him. It only take two days for the news to spread, and they come like vultures seeking carrion. He took a deep breath and set the last 5 bullets into the chamber, years of serving the military had taught him not to lose his temper in situation like this. A shuffling noise caught his attention, he look up to find the young master, staring solemnly out the window. With a flick of his wrist, the cylinder sets back into the revolver. He tuck the revolver away in his coat pocket and stood up from the coffee table, he stroll toward the young
As i reached the door and I looked at my mom with desperation of not wanting to enter the dreaded new class room. My mom pulled me over into a corner and crouched down to my level, and looked deep into my water filled eyes. she slowly tucked my awkward length bangs behind my head band, as she watched tears make there way from my eyes to my chin. She looked at me and said “I know what your going through- I switched from school to school growing up,” I nodded quickly as I sniffled and wiped my tears onto the backs of my hands. She said as she hugged me. “ Life is full of firsts, First day of school, first time you have a sleepover, the first time you go to the mall by yourself- I will always be there to help you, but sometimes your going to have to do somethings without me.” as she smiled at me i started to catch my breath. “ wipe your tears away and go in their and be confident and kind and don’t be afraid of anything or anyone- have self confidence and you will be able to do anything!” I took a deep breath and walked into the room, and smiled and said to the class “Hi- I’m Katie,” the whole class looked and smiled and said hi back to
As their tour came to an end and the buggy pulled up in front of the Hall, Bass was surprised to see Neville junior waiting for them. “Lieutenant, what are you doing here?” he asked, helping Charlie down, keeping a hold of her hand.
The wind howled against the window as the darkness enveloped the night. Todrick swirled the emerald colored serum in the little vial he had created. He held it up against the dim light and admired what had taken him two years of formulating and planning. He caressed the vial as he dedicated most of his time to creating this formula for a creature he has fantasized about. He placed the vial in a brown box that he then locked with a lock and key. He fell asleep comforted knowing that after hours of hard labor he finally finished what he started, even without the knowledge that it would work.
Other than Kelt’s genuine concern for my safety, I’d just messed up his day, and his safe passage record. I carefully presented him with the remainder of the AirPed. “You’ll need this for your report. Log it as a criminal pursuit and I’ll countersign it when it hits my office. The way I see it, you did everything you could to prevent this. You’ve no blame here, and that’s what my report will say.”
She was intent on her path and hadn’t seen him. Hans pulled back into the side of the cliff wall where the tunnel to the Great Hall had been laid open. He timed his entrance back into the caverns with the shutting-off of his shield and prepared to assault the woman by hand. He’d not risk an exchange of null energy, but the risk of hand-to-hand was certainly just as fatal. He’d have one chance at landing a single blow to take her alive. If she made it past him and deeper into the complex, she would be killed by gate defences.
The order was given, the front ranks took the prescribed steps forward, the third rank stood fast and the rear rank moved backwards. Trask, followed by the Sergeant and Lieutenant, drifted up and down the rows of soldiers. The purpose wasn't an inspection, but rather to give each man a good look at his face. Although he gave them a once over as well. The navy men were wearing a mix of blue camouflage and whatever else that had been available. The zoomies had their own unmistakable uniforms. The new men didn't even have a tape showing their branch of service. Their information had been written with a black marker. All their boots were serviceable and the rifles were clean.
I have nothing better to do, so please don't mind the EXTRA details I give you.)
Felicia showed up right after Jensen left the next day. She had a small wagon hitched up to her horse. Jared had picked out a downstairs bedroom that was fitting for her station. They unloaded the wagon together.
It was time. Eight o’clock in the morning, the right time for a crime. As Meg and Ben approached the door they pulled their disguises on and scanned the surrounding gate. With no guards in sight they went through the underground network of tunnels as planned. They were under the FBI headquarters. “We are going to clear our names once and for all.” Ben said. Climbing up a ladder, the ended up in the mail room just as planned. They would sneak onto the data base and clear their names forever. This wasn't the way they had wanted to do this but it was their only option.
They arrived at Beast's castle on the balcony. "Well, let's go fight that heartless!" Xion exclaimed with as much enthusiasm she could muster. 'After this...there's no doubt I'm becoming a dusk.'
“I don’t know how much longer I can hold out against these guys!” Alec exclaimed as he fired another arrow at an oncoming circle member.
