What separates a good story from a great one, are the characters themselves. A bland one-dimensional character will always hinder what could have otherwise been a great story. When it comes to video games that’s not necessarily a bad thing. After all, not all gaming experiences rely on the plot, let alone characterization. However, when it comes to story heavy games like Assassin’s Creed and The Witcher, characterization is key.
In my grandmother asked me to tell you she’s sorry by Fredrik Backman, seven-year-old Elsa deals with the loss of her grandmother who seconds as her best friend. Granny brings Elsa into the Land of Almost Awake (a fairytale world) where Granny’s imagination tells the stories of the princesses, warriors, and protectors of the kingdom of Miamas. After Granny’s death, Elsa is sent around her apartment building to deliver letters to her neighbors written by her grandmother apologizing for the wrongs she has caused them. On her quest, Elsa finds that the stories of the Land of Almost Awake are more real than she realizes. Soon enough Lucy wants more from John of being in there own house and living better. As John is away Lucy gets sick and eventually dies. John seems to think he need to find someone else to be with. He do not take any time of feeling sad about Lucy death. Even though the whole town is mad at him for being too quick about finding another wife he still does it. Show that John cannot be alone, he needs someone there with him as a guide. His new wife Hattie is just someone one he brought into his life, even though he knows she could never take Lucy place. John does whatever he wants, no matter what Hattie wants him to do or does not want him to do. John still has not matured because a responsible man and matured man do what they're supposed to do the right way. Lucy is seen having only one friend throughout the film, a frail, lanky young man named Birdman. Both lacking the will for social engagement find comfort in one another’s presence. Despite her not being interested in Birdman’s romantic advances, Lucy is able to show some of her masked emotion in his presence. One day, in a light mannerism, she asks Birdman to marry her. Mollie- Mollie is a burden to everyone in Animal Farm, like always she struggles on doing several things. Mollie is always late for work, she dissapears everytime midway while everyone else is working, this shows that she is self centered, she only cares about herself. As always Mollie wants a lot of attention, in the chapter she accepted the luxury treatment from Pilkington as known as Old Farmer’s neighbor, the farmer did several things by stroking Mollie’s coat and feeding her sugar, this shows us that Mollie is unwilling to give up the luxuries that she enjoyed as the wealthy class. Eventually Mollie ran away.
