Arthur Leander was a character who appeared briefly in the novel, Station Eleven. He was a middle aged actor who died on stage during his performance in the play King Lear. Arthur was additionally insecure in relationships. He went through three divorces in his lifetime, in which the first two ended due to Arthur cheating on his wife. Furthermore, Arthur was said to be (quote about playing the role of Arthur). Arthur’s character traits in Station Eleven defined who he was as a person. Arthur was a significant presence in Station Eleven. Even though Arthur died before the pandemic, he still managed to be a significant presence in the lives he encountered. For example, because of the lack of his father, Arthur, in his life, Tyler would become the leader of violent, religious cult. Another example of Arthur being a significant presence involved his encounter with Jeevan. Arthur was having a heart attack and Jeevan attempts to save Arthur’s life. Although he didn’t save Arthur, Jeevan’s encounter with Arthur reassured Jeevan that he really did want to become a doctor. Arthur had a big impact on the lives of the people he encountered, and he didn’t even realize it. Arthur’s actions in Station Eleven made him a significant presence to other characters. Arthur was married three times throughout his lifetime. Each of these three marriages would eventually end in divorce. His first marriage came to an end during a dinner party Arthur threw for his wedding anniversary with Miranda.
Arthur’s fatal flaw is outlined in his early years of growing up, in Book One of The Once and Future King. His parents leave him so he is adopted by Sir Ector who also happens
He has an annoying, bratty little sister that he loves to death and a mother that cares about him deeply. After serving 3 weeks in juvenile detention, Arthur is just glad to be home. He notices that his little sisters pink bed spread on her side of the room didn’t bother him nearly as much. Pearsall also shows different methods of grieving process. Arthur is more closed out about his feelings of his father, but decides to keep everything he can to preserve the memory of his father. His mother on the other hand does not want to be reminded of her late husband. She tries to get rid of everything as best as she can. Pearsall also hits the nail on the head while writing Arthur’s personality. Arthur is occasionally sarcastic, has a bit of a temper, but is a good kid overall. He stands up for others even though he knows it’s going to have a negative impact on himself. For example, Arthur finished lunch early and decided to get his textbook so he doesn’t receive a detention. He sees some older kids taunting a smaller boy in a trashcan. At first he minds his own business, but he later decides that he no longer wants to put up with them bullying the obviously defenseless boy. The older boys go to the office and report Arthur. They all stick together and say that Arthur attacked Squeak, who will later become his best friend and help him finish off his

Who was King Arthur? Most people would tell of a great King; a devoted circle of heroic knights; mighty castles and mightier deeds; a time of chivalry and courtly love; of Lancelot and Guinevere; of triumph and death. Historians and archaeologists, especially Leslie Alcock, point to shadowy evidence of a man who is not a king, but a commander of an army, who lived during the late fifth to early sixth century who may perhaps be the basis for Arthur. By looking at the context in which the stories of King Arthur survived, and the evidence pertaining to his castle Camelot and the Battle of Badon Hill, we can begin to see that Arthur is probably not a king as the legend holds.
King Arthur is an outstanding British leader of the 5th and the 6th centuries, son of Uther Pendragon and the Lady Igraine. Arthur is one of the greatest mythical heroes that the world has ever known. Arthur has had a great influence on other people and many of them looked up to him. The coming of Arthur was prophesied years before he was even born. Arthur was born into a world of chaos and disorder, full of love and tragedy. Nowadays, many of the scholars continue to argue whether or not King Arthur was a real person or just a mythological figure. Based on facts however, many believe that Arthur was not a real person; just a legendary British leader in the 5th and 6th centuries. According to history, there wasn't anyone named King Arthur
Whether he meant to or not, Arthur was very convincing in his speech, which leads one to believe that he was being pulled in two completely opposite directions. A part of him wanted more than anything to have the weight of this secret sin lifted from his conscience; another part of him, arguably the practical part, knew that he could never let the people know the truth. His facade and image were much too important not only to him, but to the entire community. If he had admitted to everyone what he had done, then he would have been seen, not only as a hypocrite, but a betrayer of everyone's trust. Some people in the community might have even started doubting the religion because, if this man who they considered holy and righteous, could not live a life without sin, then how could they? Clearly, Arthur was asking these questions as well, and the world in which he had lived and had served so faithfully was beginning to close in on him. It was because of this that his health began to fail and his body could, at the end, no longer handle the weight and sadness of his soul. His spirit had been lost long before his body gave out.
Even with these feelings , Arthur knew nothing was Carter’s fault so he decides to put aside his feelings towards Jake and accept Cartner as his son, Arthur’s decision to do this shows that he accepts what happened between Jake and Laura and has come to peace with it. Additionally Arthur overcomes his

Arthur was a respected yet secretive man. He committed a sin which brought pain and suffering to many others and himself. He was living in pain for several years. This lead to another medical problem, causing him to be accompanied by Dr. Roger Chillingworth. Roger worked in attempt to cure him, but failed to save him.
More than anything, though he cares deeply and loves to stay close to his family. His son and daughter both live only a few miles away from him and he sees them frequently. On Sundays, Arthur watches movies with his kids and relaxes, it being the only day he can. He travels often around the states, whether it be to visit relatives, specifically his siblings or sometimes he travels just for the experience. He doesn't enjoy traveling to other countries because of the conflicts that occur. Overall, he takes much pride in both his work and his family and spends his days now focusing on
Many people looked up to him, and praised him for all of the success he had in battles, ruling England, and his life choices. I believe that he is a legend, not a real person, for many different reasons. First, in many stories he is described with these amazing powers, some seem too unbelievable for any average human to have. Also, he is involved in numerous battles which some occur at the same time. This meaning he would have to be at two places at once. I know Arthur has many talents, but I do not believe duplicating into separate people is one of them.
Arthur is now the king and everyone adored him. He is small, polite, and brave because he lets people win and his has good manners (The Sword). We read a book about Arthur but we also watched a movie about
Perhaps Arthur’s biggest error in in judgement had been when he chose to ignore his suspicions of the affair, for “Sir Lancelot had done so much for him and for the Queen so many times that…[he] loved him passingly well” (Malory 441). This showed the great amount of loyalty that was shared between the king and his best knight. Had Arthur acknowledged the affair before Agravain and Mordred informed him, he could have put a stop to it, or found a better solution, and not jumped into the war that would pave the path to Arthur’s untimely demise. This war is foreshadowed when Gawain warns Agravain, “for and there arise
If the name of King Arthur is mentioned, I suppose what comes to mind is not so much one person as a whole array of characters and themes, a montage so to speak. Of course we do think first of the King, the magnificent monarch of a glorified or idealized medieval realm. But we think also of his Queen, of the fair and wayward Guinevere, we think of his enchanter, Merlin, who presided over his birth, who set him on the throne, who established him there in the early and traveled days of his reign. There were the knights of the Round Table, vowed to the highest ideals of chivalry, and the greatest of them, Sir Lancelot, who, of course, has a tragic love affair with the Queen. There is another great love story, that of Tristan
